The BEST Collaboration equation of state combining lattice data with the 3D Ising critical point encounters limitations due to the truncated Taylor expansion up to μB/T ~ 2.5. This truncation consequently restricts its applicability at high densities. Through a resummation scheme, the lattice results have been extended to μB/T = 3.5. In this article, we amalgamate these ideas with the 3D-Ising model, yielding a family of equations of state valid up to μB = 700MeV with the correct critical behavior. We study equilibrium as well as out-of-equilibrium properties of the strongly interacting QGP medium under extreme conditions of high temperature T and high baryon densities or baryon chemical potentials μB within a kinetic approach. We present the thermodynamic and transport properties of the QGP close to equilibrium in the framework of effective models with Nf=3 active quark flavours such as the Polyakov extended Nambu-Jona Lasinio (PNJL) and dynamical quasiparticle model with the CEP (DQPM-CP). Considering the transport coefficients and the EoS of the QGP phase, we compare our results with various results from the literature. Furthermore, out-of equilibrium properties of the QGP medium and in particular, the effect of a μB- dependence of thermodynamic and transport properties of the QGP are studied within the Parton-Hadron-String-Dynamics (PHSD) transport approach, which covers the full evolution of the system during HICs. We find that bulk observables and flow coefficients for strange hadrons as well as for antiprotons are more sensitive to the properties of the QGP, in particular to the μB - dependence of the QGP interactions. The problem of oil spills during the marine transportation of oil products is still urgent today. The pollution fate and self-purification of the local ecosystem rates are still insufficiently studied. The article presents data on concentration of chloroform-extractable substances, oil hydrocarbons and the number of anaerobic bacteria in the sea bottom sediments of the Kerch Strait after the vessel’s accident in November 2007 for period of 2007 – 2009. Chloroform-extractable substances concentration in the bottom sediments of the Kerch strait belonged to low pollution level, which was typical for relatively clean water areas. It was detected the dotty distribution of oil hydrocarbons contamination in the sea bottom sediments and the tendency to its reduction through the time. The ubiquitous presence of microorganisms involved in anaerobic oil hydrocarbons degradation was demonstrated. The quantitative content of bacteria in the sea bottom sediments of the Kerch Strait during 2007 – 2009 was characterized as follows: the number of the studied bacteria groups varied widely, and there was a reduction in their numbers in compare with 2007 and 2008. Cardiac modelling became a promising tool for drug testing. Conventionally, young adult animals are used in experimental assays for drug testing and simulations on virtual subjects. At the same time, it is well known that cellular functions change during aging, and drug effects on adult or aged cells may be different. In this work, we utilized cellular models of the electro-mechanical activity of cardiomyocytes to compare the effects of several well-known drugs on aging cells. At first, we built a referent population of models of adult cardiomyocytes based on a recently developed TP+M model, simulating action potential (AP) generation, and mechanical contraction in ventricular cells from the human heart. Then, we changed some parameters in each model of the population reflecting age-dependent modulation of the excitation-contraction coupling processes in cardiomyocytes. In these two populations of adult and aged cardiomyocyte models, we tested the effects of the four compounds: cisapride, verapamil, sotalol, and bepridil. Surprisingly, we showed that anti-arrhythmic drugs sotalol and cisapride induce repolarization abnormalities in the control population, but not in the "aged" population. Two other compounds bepridil and verapamil sufficiently affected cardiomyocyte contraction in both populations, but relative effects were higher in the "aged" population. Our findings suggest that drug effects on cardiomyocyte may be age-dependent. If the drug is used for the treatment of subjects in different age-groups, it should be tested in corresponding virtual and experimental assays. Valuable predictions on the age-specific drug unsafety can be revealed in virtual trials on the populations of models. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
