AI technology is increasingly being adopted in practice for all kinds of tasks. To apply AI in organizations, it must be properly designed and executed. To guide and assure proper design and execution, principles are formulated. Currently, the body of knowledge on principles for the design and execution of AI technology is a growing field, where contributions build on principles that represent ethical values from other, more mature, research domains such as the medical or bio-ethics field. However, many of those principles are general and unusable for the design and execution of AI. In this study, we aim to formulate design principles to guide the design and execution of AI technology in practice. This is achieved by an inductive approach in which guidelines on AI technology design and execution of large international organizations are analyzed, involving five phases of coding with five researchers. The analysis resulted in the identification of 22 principle categories that represent different ethical values such as 'accountability', 'understandability' and 'equality'. Based on this, design principles are defined for each principle category. The results of this study form a basis for making AI design principles more concrete, so that practice can actually apply the design principles to improve AI design and execution. The management of decisions and business logic is an essential activity for organizations. To be able adequately to do so, an organization needs to implement Business Rules Management (BRM) capabilities. However, the current body of knowledge on BRM does not adequately cover capabilities for BRM as it focuses predominantly on technologyoriented research studies. Additionally, the sparse capability-related contributions are not integrated into one view. Due to the current body of knowledge not providing enough answers on how to organize capabilities for BRM, five large Dutch governmental agencies were extensively studied to propose a BRM capability framework. A multimethod approach is utilized, which consisted of nine series of focus groups, Delphi studies, and semi-structured interviews. The resulting framework consists of nine BRM capabilities that, in conjunction with the utilization of human assets and the consideration of situational factors, common implementation challenges, and defined design principles, achieve a coordinated output. The framework provides ground for future research directions with regards to BRM capability implementation and management as well as being able to guide organizations in designing their BRM capabilities. With organizations making more use of flexible workplaces, the threat of a rogue device infiltrating these places is becoming more likely. In our paper we discuss 1) the threat of rogue devices, 2) the harm they can cause to organizations and their information systems, 3) how these devices work, and 4) what we believe to be a potential solution to this threat. Personal devices for instance, laptops, are often protected against software attacks, but currently lack protection against physical hardware attacks. Virus scanners are used to scan for viruses in downloaded files. However, when a rogue device is plugged in and executes the same task as the virus, the anti-virus protection does not detect it. This is because a rogue device often pretends to be a harmless device, such as a normal keyboard, which is automatically trusted by what it gets connected to. Even though a rogue device is just as dangerous if not more dangerous as a virus that is stopped by anti-virus software, our research discovered that a rogue device remains mostly undetected. This comes from the inability to live monitor what a USB device does. After all, the USB device just performs actions like typing or mouse movement. As we investigated how rogue devices work, we identified a possible solution for protecting devices, such as laptops. The aim of this paper is to inform organizations and individual users about rogue devices and share our solution. Blockchain technology will increasingly gain attention from both academics as well as practitioners and has the potential to disrupt traditional work methods in most industries. At least, that is what innovators and early adopters have promised. Published papers in the current body of knowledge are almost solely aimed towards technical aspects of blockchain technology. As far as the researchers are aware, no research has been conducted to identify factors affecting blockchain technology diffusion. Through grounded theorybased data collection and analysis, the factors affecting blockchain technology diffusion are identified in this research. Based on 18 semi-structured expert interviews, 13 factors affecting blockchain technology diffusion have been identified. The identified factors could be used as guidelines in the future when implementing or considering the implementation of blockchain technology. Future research should continue to focus on identifying additional factors. Additionally, the factors should be validated more thoroughly in future studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
