Results of a survey of 87 countries and 42 intergovernmental organizations on the present state of bibliographies, catalogs, and lists of official national and intergovernmental publications are presented in this report. Conclusions and recommendations are made based on a summary of the survey and intergovernmental publications. An alphabetical country-by-country listing indicates whether the country has a bibliography of government publications, and if so, includes information on the contents, classification and cataloging, production, and bibliographic control of the bibliography. A second list describes publications of the intergovernmental organizations. The questionnaires for countries and intergovernmental organizations, and a list of respondents are appended. (KP)
