When preparing the soil for sowing, an important agricultural operation is the harrowing and slotting of the soil. This agricultural technique is very important for areas where there is increased soil moisture during the harvesting period, since it is not always possible to prepare the soil for the future harvest in the autumn. In the Amur region, during the harvesting period, not only abundant precipitation is observed, but also such an important factor as the end of harvesting at low temperatures, and sometimes even under snow cover. All of the above factors leave their mark on the preparation of the soil for sowing. Given that harrows are not produced specifically for a particular region, they are structurally designed to use ballast in order to regulate the load on the working body, depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. Also, one of the promising ways to solve the problem of increasing the required load on the working body is its automatic regulation when transferring the mass of the tractor to the harrow through the use of additional redistributing devices. The article presents the results of experimental studies on the use of heavy disc harrows with a device that allows you to adjust the load on the working body through the use of part of the mass of the energy source.
