In the present time as the air pollution and waste management are very serious problems, researchers are studying various agricultural waste materials and trying to find optimum utilization of these waste materials. A huge quantity of agricultural waste is generated per year includes rice husk, sugarcane bagasse, coconut husk and other organic wastes. Reusing of these waste materials in construction was proved to be an optimum solution for high cost of construction and disposal of such waste material. Rice husk ash (RHA) and sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) are pozzolanic material and can be used in preparation of concrete. As a pozzolanic material these ashes are used to modify the properties of concrete and bring the economy in preparation of concrete. In the presents research work RHA and SCBA are used as a partial replacement of binder i.e cement. These ashes were used in different proportions. Experimental investigation consists of conducting a series of different test on fresh and hardened concrete. From test results the effects of these ashes on fresh and hardened properties of concrete are analysed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
