Project Management Information System (PMIS) is a digital platform for collecting various types of data, recording, storing, and disseminating it for various construction processes for the smooth functioning of a construction enterprise or project. In today's scenario, PMIS in the civil engineering industry is not widely known in India due to a lack of proper guidance, application methods, and knowledge about the advantages of effective management systems and control over a project, both in terms of personnel and material. PMIS in the construction industry can help in various ways, such as real-time tracking of a project, risk elimination, handling human resources, procurement, cost reduction, and maintaining the standard quality of a project in a given time period with a proportional cost index. In this paper, through a design thinking approach, an economical PMIS for MCE's (Micro-construction Enterprises) is proposed for design and development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
