A rotating uniform eddy current probe composed of two exciting tangential coils and a detecting pancake coil can simultaneously conduct eddy current testing and magnetic testing of magnetic material. The eddy current testing detects parallel flaws to the probe scan direction and the magnetic testing detects perpendicular flaws. The signal phase shows that either ET or MT generates the signal.
