Abstract

Education and entrepreneurship are commonly considered major drivers of economic development. This paper focuses on micro level women entrepreneurs from a developing country (n=147), educational and developmental needs and their impact on business performance and growth. We found that entrepreneurship education and development had resulted in revenue growth and also in employment generation, thereby impacting society at large. Our study also demonstrated confidence building of the women entrepreneurs and also strategic thinking. The women entrepreneurs also felt valued and useful in their networks which had also contributed to developing their mentoring/training skills, impacted in multiplier effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
