This paper explores whether the Canadian medical universities' policies on personal information to protect and provide access meet the expectations of their learners. An overview of the current legislation is presented in the order of federal, provincial/territorial, and university level. This is followed by a process of reviewing a paper published by the Canadian Federation of Medical Students and conducting thematic analysis on pertinent court judgements to understand Canadian medical learners' expectations of personal information handling practices. Through this process, we develop a list of nominal variables that represents learner expectations. For analysis, we conduct descriptive research to review medical universities' policies and utilize a matrix to cross‐check the policies against the list of variables. The resulting matrix presents a visualization that highlights areas where the policies and medical learners' expectations converge and diverge. Our findings indicate that most universities acknowledge the importance of responsibly handling personal information but did not touch on certain variables, such as oversight of third‐party data stewards and information transfer processes within the medical education community. Indonesia is now one of the main destinations for the banana distribution network. Previous research related to the use of banana barks has opened up opportunities and potential for the development of functional product designs, which in turn facilitates the downstream process of cross-institutional multidisciplinary collaborative research concepts in the Banana Smart Village (BSV) sustainable program. This paper focuses on examining the zero-waste concept in utilizing banana barks into functional and craft products through a Product Design approach. Mentoring, a mechanism for knowledge and skill transfer is not new to people across the globe. In Indian context, the traditional Gurukula system is the best example of mentoring where the Sishya (mentee / protégé) who is usually a less experienced youth would serve the Guru (mentor), who is a teacher and an elderly person with rich experience for good knowledge transfer. The concept of relation in mathematics could be applied in e-mentoring. Though traditional face to face mentoring has advantages like ability to read the body language signals and facial expressions along with establishing a good rapport between mentor and mentee, E mentoring is proving its effectiveness in terms of solving issues in critical crisis period. From 594 students from AICTE approved institutions in Tamil Nadu, the response was recorded. Findings of the current research study makes it clear that the digital natives or the students belonging to Generation Z are more conversant with the latest technological developments and more curious about using them which makes them to feel convenient with e-mentoring in the place of traditional face-to-face mentoring. It may also open a door of opportunity to different sectors of students like students from different disciplines, students with special needs, destitute students and students from low socio economic background who belong to Generation Z. The fast transformation within societies, technology, and the environment has boosted the need for innovation, learning, reskilling, and upskilling. Various European Union funding instruments have boosted transformation and upskilling. However, research on learning that occurs between companies within business innovation ecosystems is scarce. Still, it occurs frequently and could be enhanced. We focused on how small and medium-sized (SMEs) could be supported in their learning and used semistructured interviews to provide insights into the learning. We interviewed 13 people (females two and males 11), from ecosystem facilitators to the companies participating in the ecosystems. Our findings so far are promising, aiding in spotting the learning events, potential tools and rules that are required for trust building and knowledge transfer, which could grow into knowledge creation between companies within a business innovation ecosystem. The transfer of research results is an important concern of publicly funded research organisations. This transfer happens through people. Different approaches have been introduced to increase the transfer of knowledge. Our hypothesis is that innovation managers have implemented many incentives to support innovation culture, yet they often don't match the real working environment in research. We address this issue through tiny compliments (small remarks on a certain aspect for transfer activities) as a form of nudging to supplement existing incentive schemes. Five innovation managers gave different forms of tiny compliments with and without relation to transfer activities to their employees over the course of six months. We find that compliments can have a positive effect on the working atmosphere and therefore innovation management. Addressing transfer activities through tiny compliments was difficult but possible. Our lives have significantly transformed as a result of the Internet of Things (IoT). We employ IoT because of our customers, government agencies, and business partners. Security is a major problem when offering a variety of services even if IoT offers new options. Particularly hard is how the statistics are presented. How to secure the flow of information produced by IoT devices while passing through various nodes and gateways may be safeguarded from security threats. In this paper, we propose an effective key management approach that mixes symmetric and asymmetric cryptosystems in order to get the speed of the former and the security benefits of the latter. Our aim is to guarantee the IoT environment's security. Our method takes into account a number of Smart Objects (SO) that can produce, register, and distribute keys for IoT information transfer. We selected the open-source MessageQueuingTelemetryTransport (MQTT) protocol as a solution to help communication between the starting point and target nodes. The proposed approach is tested experimentally, and the results are discussed in terms of key exchange time, algorithm implementation time, number of reprocess connections, and bandwidth consumption. In polymer extrusion, assistant systems visualize process conditions and parameters and subsequently provide decision support to optimize the extrusion process. Nevertheless, these assistant systems are primary based on experimental or simulated data and they are not able to give recommendations based on both data sources at the same time. Furthermore, simulated results are not based on live experimental data and do not represent the current process conditions. This paper aims to develop an assistant system to provide decision support for optimizing a profile extrusion line based on both live experimental data and simulations carried out in real-time using this experimental data. First, live environments for three existing simulation systems are developed to describe the whole process behavior of the extrusion line in terms of extruder, die and cooling section. Second, interfaces between these systems are created to use both experimental data and output values of the simulation results as input data for the following systems along the extrusion line. Finally, all information is transferred and processed in the assistant system to visualize current process conditions and to give recommendations to optimize the extrusion process. To handle the increased complexity within the automotive industry, this paper introduces a guideline, which aims to support development service providers to examine the introduction and if applicable support the introduction of systems engineering. The initial verification was performed through applying the guideline at Porsche Engineering as an exemplary service provider. As a result, the success factors "knowledge basis" and "knowledge transfer" have been improved by two points on a 1-5 Likert-scale by introducing a SE process-specific knowledge platform and a defined knowledge transfer. The goal of this project is to employ the Hash Based Message Authenticate Code (HMAC) in an Innovative Cloud Service and compare it to the ABE Algorithm in identifying which users are authorised to access a dataset including information about both authorised and unauthorised users. Standard Packet Protocol user analysis reports have been completed, and student samples of legal users (N=20) and illicit users (N=20) have been conducted (SPP). Using the Vensim Simulation Tool, a novel HMAC encryption scheme was built, providing both groups with more secure verified and authentication codes. The actual ABE method's reliability rate of 52.46 percent is statistically insufficient compared to the HMAC Algorithm's dependability rating of 68.11 percent, and the HMAC Algorithm also transfers information more quickly than the ABE algorithm. This research demonstrates that compared to the Diffie-Hellman algorithm's key exchange rate, HMAC's dependability in predicting authorised users is significantly higher. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This state-of-the-art review paper provides a comprehensive overview of meta-learning techniques for learning to learn in machine learning. Meta-learning called "learning to learn," is an approach that enables models to learn from new tasks learning quickly and efficiently, based on prior knowledge and experience. The paper discusses various meta-learning techniques, such as model-based meta-learning, metric-based meta-learning, optimization-based meta-learning, and memory-based meta-learning. The review also covers the applications of meta-learning in different domains, including natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Additionally, the paper discusses the benchmark datasets, challenges along with the future directions of meta-learning research, highlighting the need for developing more efficient and scalable meta-learning algorithms. Moreover, the proposed Meta-Learn framework incorporates a hierarchical structure to facilitate knowledge transfer across multiple levels of abstraction, and it also includes a memory component that enables the system to store and reuse previous experiences. The Virtual Reality (VR) Basic Housekeeping Module helps students to gain and experience practical experience even though they are studying from home. Polimedia as a vocational campus that prioritizes practice in transferring knowledge to students must look for new methods so that students continue to gain knowledge. The VR learning module development method that the author uses is the Waterfall SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) method. The system design stages in this research are explained through process design using cases and sequence diagrams. In the design, the results are in the form of a VR application. The importance of higher education's function in knowledge transfer is demonstrated by the rising demand for research that measures its performance. Nonetheless, limited systematic reviews are being performed for studies that employed data envelopment analysis (DEA) in higher education. Thus, this paper aims to review the available literature that uses DEA in the assessments of higher education. A systematic review of Science Direct discovered 23 related studies using the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) method. Further analysis of these articles resulted in four main themes, namely the extension of the DEA model, the integration of the DEA model with other methods applied in HEIs, the application of DEA in HEIs, and network DEA (NDEA). Additionally, the inputs and outputs utilised in every paper were identified in this article. These indicators enable practitioners to select appropriate indicators for their research and improve their understanding of the various DEA-based applications in higher education. Storytelling is a long-established human tradition for entertainment and knowledge transfer. Social robots are emerging as a new storytelling medium, being able to imitate human storytelling using gestures but also extend it by adding, e.g., sound effects to the experience. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we conducted an online video-based study to investigate the effects of congruent respectively incongruent or no gesture usage in combination with additional non-speech sounds, i.e. sound effects and background music, on recipients' transportation into the story told, emotion induction, and perception of the robot. Results indicate no effect of additional non-speech sound integration on the variables listed above. Contradicting with related findings from in-person studies, we found a no significant differences between congruent, incongruent and no gesture usage. Last, no interplay of additional sounds and gesture congruence was identified. Future studies should provide deeper insights into the importance of multimodal congruence in video-taped robots and the possible advantages of adding non-speech sounds to online but also in-person robotic storytelling as well as their interplay in in-person HRI. Robots that work close to humans need to understand and use social cues to act in a socially acceptable manner. Social cues are a form of communication (i.e., information flow) between people. In this paper, a framework is introduced to detect and analyse a class of perceptible social cues that are nonverbal and episodic, and the related information transfer using an information-theoretic measure, namely, transfer entropy. We use a group-joining setting to demonstrate the practicality of transfer entropy for analysing communications between humans. Then we demonstrate the framework in two settings involving social interactions between humans: object-handover and person-following. Our results show that transfer entropy can identify information flows between agents and when and where they occur. Potential applications of the framework include information flow or social cue analysis for interactive robot design and socially-aware robot planning. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents the results of a pilot survey conducted as part of a doctoral research project on the management of tacit knowledge of employees with long scientific seniority (LSS), defined as 25+ years post-doctorate, focusing on knowledge transfer in the academic environment related to construction. This planned research aims to identify the best methods to support the dissemination of tacit knowledge of LSS employees among employees of other generations. The primary goal was to create a model that supports the transfer of LSS tacit knowledge to other employees. The research question is: How should the tacit knowledge of LSSs be managed to preserve and pass their legacy on to younger generations? A pilot online survey was conducted with three groups of respondents: LSSs, their leaders (L-LSS), and coworkers(C-LSS). The anonymous survey included 72 statements in five areas: 1. awareness of tacit knowledge, 2. personal motivation to share tacit knowledge; 3. the traditional approach versus the innovative approach; and 4. organisational support for knowledge sharing; 5. management of generational diversity. The first two areas contained different questions for each of the three groups, whereas areas 3-5 contained identical survey questions. Responses were recorded on a fivepoint Likert scale. The pilot study involved research institute employees who volunteered to participate. The study sample consisted of 22 participants. The group of respondents comprised four generations. The lowest mean (below 3.0) concerned statements in Areas 2 and 4. Similarly, a median (equal to 3) was obtained for these areas. The remaining areas had a mean of 3.1 or above, with a median of 4. The standard deviation ranged from 0.93 (Area 3) to 1.25 (Area 2), which indicates that Area 2 (personal motivation to share tacit knowledge) and Area 4 (organisational support in sharing knowledge) are important areas for further analysis. The next step (February 2024) will be to conduct an online survey of two technical universities and two research institutes in Poland, followed by in-depth interviews (spring/summer 2024). The same procedure will be used for all the four European institutions (2024). The value of this study lies in determining the best practices for generational tacit knowledge sharing. To respond to changes in the global competitive context, organizations must base their competitive advantage on the enhancement of new knowledge within production and decision-making processes. At the same time, the continuous processes of innovation and technological advancement define a higher rate of knowledge obsolescence. With these premises, organizations find themselves constantly introducing new knowledge into their processes and, at the same time, setting aside knowledge that has now become obsolete. Corporate museums represent organizations that collect organizational artifacts of a parent organization. The main theoretical contributions on the phenomenon of corporate museums have offered a focused contribution on the marketing and corporate communication perspective. In fact, there are few studies on corporate museums in knowledge management studies. From the theoretical perspective of knowledge management, corporate museums represent a place where the knowledge of a parent organization is collected and narrated through its organizational artefacts. This study aims to analyze corporate museums as a place for collecting, exploitation and transferring the organizational memory of a parent organisation. The study is based on the analysis of a case study. A corporate museum connected to the agrifood sector was analysed, through interviews and analysis of company documents. The findings of this study can be traced back to theoretical contributions and practical implications. From the perspective of theoretical contribution, this study analyzes the corporate museum as "ba", or as a place for collecting and sharing knowledge. From the perspective of managerial implications, the results highlight that the corporate museum can take on a strategic role in the valorisation and diffusion of organizational memory. It follows that the museum can be considered as a BA capable of generating new knowledge and innovation to be transferred within the parent organization. The results of this study offer new theoretical and empirical contributions to studies on knowledge management, on the phenomenon of corporate museums linked to the agrifood sector. The agrifood sector has demonstrated a greater need to enhance and implement knowledge in its organizational processes, through mechanisms that take into consideration the peculiarities of the sector. Hong Kong S.A.R., China is one of the most economically prosperous areas in the world, with numerous multinational companies (MNCs) operating here. It is of vital importance for MNCs to leverage their knowledge across the entire organization, including both the head office and overseas branches. However, many MNCs struggle with knowledge transfer across borders due to the differences in national cultural and institutional factors. Therefore, this research seeks to explore these factors affecting knowledge transfer in MNCs in the Hong Kong S.A.R., China. Six semi-structured interviews with professional practitioners were carried out. Knowledge is transferred in MNCs mainly by three processes, namely, on-the-job training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and knowledge retention of leaving employees. Cultural differences including language differences, geography differences and power distance, technical factors, and institutional differences, including organizational structure differences, senior management support, and employee motivation do affect knowledge transfer of MNCs. This study adds new insights into knowledge transfer issues across the boundaries of MNCs in Hong Kong. It provides significant managerial implications that are helpful to these multinational organizations to achieve effective knowledge management in the global context to overcome cultural and institutional obstacles. Social innovation grassroots initiatives play a pivotal role in addressing locally occurring problems - such as aging population, high unemployment, and inequality of disadvantaged groups - by recognizing them and responding with adequate answers that are in harmony with the needs of the local community. Therefore, focusing on the even more urgent difficulties of sustainable, bottom-up initiatives of social innovation, the balance of effective governance and locals has an enormous role in fostering real solutions. However, the process to solve these challenges is multifaceted, based on the renewal capacity of the local community that is rooted in the volume of involvement, effort and willingness to adapt and learn, including on the one hand the local inhabitants, and on the other hand the decision-makers, politicians and administrations. By examining the impacts of local developments and effective governance in the context of social innovation the authors seek answers how local developments and effective governance can contribute to enhance social innovation and what are the biggest challenges of local communities they are facing? What kind of instruments can contribute to create a positive change? With respect to the research question, the methodology contains qualitative focus group discussions, where professionals from business, academia, government, and civil organizations were asked. In conclusion, the results and novelty of the research show that local developments supporting the partnerships between the stakeholders, have a massive goal to jointly support the progress of public goods and life-quality, sustain and increase local wealth, knowledge transfer, strengthen the cohesion among locals, and support prosperity in a determined local territory. By drawing attention into real cases the authors introduce how to support social innovation in diverse areas of life through effective governance and local developments. When unexpected incidents occur, such as fire outbreaks or floods, individuals who lack knowledge on how to handle such events are often shocked and unable to act efficiently. Virtual Reality (VR) technology promises to compensate for the lack of traditional teaching environments by immersing users in virtual learning environments with real-life relevance for many emergency scenarios. The primary objective of this paper is to provide a better understanding of how to raise awareness of emergencies and learn to manage unforeseen situations using VR games. Based on a theoretical background examining available literature on Knowledge Transfer (KT), VR and learning theories, we illustrate a case depicting how to handle a fire emergency at a school building. The case describes a VR game to inform students about the necessary steps for preparedness and discuss its utilization as an educational module in a course. Based on this, an Inclusive VR for KT (IVR-KT) framework is proposed that contributes to increasing the understanding of planning and assessing emergency preparedness training in education. The games included in IVR-KT will be developed using retrieved real-time and historical data with a special emphasis on inclusivity aspects by addressing a wide range of users regardless of their personal limitations and constraints. By presenting the framework and providing examples of its key components, the paper introduces new ways of considering KT for emergency preparedness training in education for handling unforeseen incidents. Teaching hospitals are healthcare entities rendering healthcare services to patients. Specialized medical staff not only provide medical services, but also educate future medical staff, conduct clinical research and support the development of medical technologies. The majority of these staff are also research and teaching staff at medical universities. The aim of this article is to identify the determinants of knowledge transfer and the intellectual potential of employees in the relationship between teaching hospitals and medical universities. The inference was made on the basis of the available development strategies of medical universities, including reference to the intellectual potential of employees and the mission of teaching hospitals published on their websites. The following research questions were posed: Is the mission of medical universities consistent with the mission of teaching hospitals? Does the transfer of knowledge and skills of medical staff between a medical university and its teaching hospital contribute to the mission of teaching hospitals? The preliminary findings indicate that the intellectual capital of the scientific-medical staff is of vital importance in the mission of teaching hospitals, which is on a par with the development of the facilities. The analyses were of an expert nature, from the perspective of a statutory auditor and a long-standing researcher of the problems of the functioning of medical entities, namely hospitals. The considerations undertaken in the article are an important voice in the recognition of the determinants for the development of teaching hospitals as entities with intellectual capital useful in solving international health problems. The article is a continuation of the author's research on the development of intellectual capital of employees of teaching hospitals in Poland. The relationship between the findings of the development strategies of medical universities (the founding bodies) and the mission statements of their teaching hospitals confirm their coherence and complementarity. Organizations, particularly those that are knowledge-intensive, such as educational institutions, increasingly recognize the importance of managing knowledge sharing (KS). Consequently, KS in universities is an emerging research area as the transfer of knowledge from universities to the socio-economic environment is growing in importance. This study investigates the relationship between the communication departments and KS in two Brazilian universities. To this end, fifteen interviews were conducted with institution managers, communicators, researchers, and stakeholders involved in KS projects. The interviews were transcribed and subjected to content analysis. The key findings suggest that while communication departments play a vital role in transferring knowledge to various stakeholders, they could be further leveraged. Challenges identified include the complexity of university ecosystems, academic language barriers, and the reluctance of researchers to provide access to the knowledge they generate. Students are identified as the primary recipients of university knowledge, followed by public/political bodies and companies. However, society at large is perceived as the most distant stakeholder. According to the interviewees, the involvement of communication departments in knowledge transfer hinges on the visibility of the projects they undertake. Limitations in this process include restricted access to researchers, limited understanding of the strategic role of the communication department and resource constraints. The research paves the way for more in-depth investigations into the integration of communication departments in the university environment, as well as the construction of more assertive guidelines for the work of communication departments, to enable all the stakeholders, including society in general to make the most of the knowledge generated by the HEIs. Knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer are important processes in the application of knowledge management. Human resources as a source of knowledge each year experience changes and even a decline in government agencies. The application of knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer in government organizations can create innovation and increase organizational efficiency. This study aims to identify factors and mechanisms for knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer in government organizations by conducting a Systematic Literature Review sourced from seven databases that produced 39 kinds of literature. From the research results, it is found that 51 factors influence the application of knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer in governance and the most frequently used factors are trust and organizational structure. Furthermore, the mechanisms used in the application of knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer vary in each organization according to organizational goals. The increasing number of internet users in the world can be attributed to a variety of activities, such as buying and selling, transferring information and currency, and other activities that occur millions of times per minute. This clearly emphasized finding solutions for a more accurate and secure data transfer and retrieval process. Named Data Networking (NDN) is an alternative Internet architecture suggested to solve the problem of identifying data containers by connecting all of the world's computing devices. In this paper, we provide an overview of how to use the TCP/IP protocol for networking and data acquisition, as well as how to use the Named Data Network protocol and the proposed procedure for calling data. As a result, when transferring data, we ensure that each individual receives the correct data at the right time and that the data cannot be accessed by a third party outside of the network. Introduction. Tests (multiple-choice tests), consisting of dichotomous items (a question with one correct and one or more incorrect answers (distractors)) are widely used in modern education, in particular in engineering, to assess students' knowledge. Test developers face the problem of converting the number of correct answers into a numerical grade for the knowledge of the assessed. Usually, the number of correct answers is converted into a grade based on the evaluators' inner sense of fair evaluation. Objective: In the present work, a model for knowledge evaluation through dichotomous tests is proposed, based on the so-called semantic branch of Information Theory. Results: A critical opinion is given for the Classical Test Theory and the more modern Item Response Theory as tools for knowledge assessment. Some concepts in these theories leave the feeling that it could be desired more in respect of assessing knowledge through them. A new, entirely different approach to knowledge assessment by tests is proposed in the paper. In the proposed information model for knowledge assessment, the process of knowledge assessment is considered as an information process with information transfer. The information is generated by a source (the assessed), which has a goal - to get as close as possible to the error-free solution of the test. The information in the form of an information signal (the answers to the test that the assessed gives) is directed to the recipient - the assessor. The assessor evaluates the value (importance) of this information signal, which is a measure of the knowledge of the assessed. The value of the information signal is measured by the progress of the examinee towards reaching the goal. Formulas are obtained, linking the value of the information signal with a numerical grade of knowledge of the assessed. Paragraph writing demonstrates a crucial role for English learners in describing ideas in the basic level of writing skills. It is also defined as the beginner phase in writing material. It needs a relevant strategy to train students' writing skills. This article is aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Information Transfer Technique (ITT) on the ability of female students of the English Language Education Department in descriptive paragraph writing material at the University of Darussalam Gontor. This study employed a quasi-experimental with one-group –pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 20 students who were concerned with English Language Teaching. They were evaluated by pre and post treatment of descriptive paragraph writing. The data analysis applied in this study was paired sample T-test. The finding revealed that there was a significant difference between the mean score of pretest and posttest. The study showed that the students' result in the post-test was better than theirs in the pretest. This method has been applied in a field study. The findings and improvement potentials have been considered in the further development of the method. This paper contributes to the continuous validation of the InKTI method through a second field study at the company Witzenmann GmbH (Witzenmann), which is a world market leader in the area of flexible metal elements. In many cases, the knowledge that workers in the field have is context-dependent and dynamic, unlike the formal knowledge described in manuals. We have developed "kNowledge eXplication AugmenteR (kNeXaR)" and "Smart Voice Messaging System (SVMS)" as methods and tools to support structuring human awareness and thoughts. kNeXaR is a knowledge structuring method and tool for procedurally describing dynamic knowledge such as tasks in a goal-oriented manner while maintaining human readability and machine readability. SVMS is able to collect onsite knowledge in the form of spoken words, which is difficult to collect in the past. Using a smartphone, workers in the field can voice record what they notice and think about while working. In many cases, the messages obtained during the work are recorded with the purpose of the work, the content of the work, what they thought about what they observed in light of their own experience, and unusual situations. In this paper, while introducing the respective functions of kNeXaR and SVMS, we introduce the concept of implementing the Human Centric Digital Twin, which is a structured knowledge component based on messages from SVMS that collects work and observations in the field. In the current work we investigate the transfer of knowledge in the context of the Deep Galerkin Method, an algorithm which uses a certain deep neural network to solve partial differential equations. Specifically, we examine how well that network pretrained on one type of problem, performs on a related problem. To this end, we focus on the Poisson partial differential equation and consider two test cases: transfer of learning (a) between problems admitting different oscillatory solutions of the same form and subject to the same homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions and (b) between problems admitting oscillatory solutions of a different form and subject to different (non-constant) Dirichlet boundary conditions. In both cases we found that there was a successful transfer of learning, when performing the same number of training steps on the pretrained and not pretrained network. That is, pretraining a network on a simpler boundary value problem can significantly improve the performance, convergence and accuracy, of the network compared to a the not pretrained network with the same architecture and hyperparameters. Data collected from pre-test and post-test' score of 55 participants on November 21, 2020 and from pre-test and post-test' score 54 participants on November 28, 2020. The project Cultural Landscapes in Banat aims to identify and inventory the cultural landscapes in the Romanian Banat area and to associate them with a new working tool - Heritage Value Areas (HVA). Through the totality of the proposed actions, the aim is to improve the way heritage and cultural landscape is known, understood, interpreted and managed. Past ideas in which heritage conservation largely consists of classifying individual elements scattered across the territory are not enough. The likelihood that they will survive, be used and valued is low. All elements of heritage value, in well identified areas, can be connected and supported by a common context, whose rules and values are known and accepted. The research has started in 2020, based on biographical and in - site studies, made by the multidisciplinary team in previous years. Until now a first map of the division of Banat into landscape units and sub-units has been produced; a methodological guide - with the methodology proposed in the project for the identification of cultural landscapes - has been finalized and published online; and an online website containing information on these investigations has been launched. The main conclusions of the study are: the inconsistency with which the concept of cultural landscape in Romania is presented and interpreted, but also the lack of knowledge about it; the existence of unaltered areas in Banat from a landscape perspective; the increase of interest in this concept; and the existence of an important documentation database in terms of volume and quality on which this project is partially based. Education in Indonesia has begun to transform to digital due to the times. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic is the reason for the implementation of online learning. Digitalization-based learning is currently an excellent way, and it is believed to facilitate educators in transferring knowledge. This study aims to apply the experiential learning model to Pancasila and Civic Education subjects at Pancasila History material related to the Angkola Batak culture. This research uses a classroom action research method by applying the Kurt Lewin model, including planning, observing, and reflecting. Purposive sampling is the technique of data collection, and the sample is the third-semester students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program at Institut Agama Islam Negeri Padangsidimpuan. Observation, interviews, and tests collected the data, also assisted by the Kahoot application. The data collected were analyzed by using statistics assisted by STATCAL software. Systems complexity is increasing, in particular, when systems become systems of systems (SoS). SoS are composed of constituent systems (CS), have unique goals for the CS and the SoS as a whole, and present new SoS-level properties called emergent properties. Emergent properties are unique because they only appear at the system level. Current research has only revealed some tools focusing on simple emergence for engineers aiming to design emergence at the SoS level. However, forming design tools for the creation or modification of strong emergence will enable engineers to create systematic changes in the SoS. This article proposes a connection between emergence and information streams with the latter being a model of the transfer of information between the different CS in the SoS. A methodology for designing SoS information streams is demonstrated, with encouraging results, using a multi-agent simulation of the propagation of the COVID-19 virus through citizens. By testing several information stream configurations, an SoS with a decrease of 47% in sick agents was found. Life cycle assessment (LCA) has been established as a benchmark for design for sustainability practices. LCA provides detailed technical documents regarding a product's environmental impact, but its use is often limited to trained experts who share the knowledge with designers. Life cycle experts are highly specialized, and the typical designer faces technical barriers and time constraints in extracting information from LCA documents. This work uses knowledge transfer principles to replicate expert practices in LCA information retrieval to support designers. Life-cycle experts (n = 4) were interviewed to understand practices and challenges in information retrieval for LCA documents. Interview findings were used to create a set of guidelines for effectively navigating LCA documents and then tested in a follow-up task where designers (n = 16) annotated an electric toothbrush LCA using the identified guidelines. Results find designers can effectively extract information from LCA documents given provided guidelines, but need detailed support interpreting complex visual entities like charts and figures. Autonomous vehicle solutions (AVS) are regarded as a major enabling technology to support the realization of 'total site solutions' in the construction equipment industry. Their full-scale deployment is hindered today by the need to test autonomous driving capabilities against the varying conditions an AVS is expected to be exposed to during its lifetime. Therefore, using virtual simulation environments is common to overcome the cost and time limitations of physical testing. A caveat in this virtual verification and validation (V&V) work is how to trade off the 'realism' of the V&V output (using high-fidelity models across many scenarios) against computational time. This research investigates expectations and needs for value-driven decision support in the virtual V&V process, proposing an approach and a tool to raise awareness among decision-makers about the value associated with using selected simulation models/components in the virtual verification and validation task for AVS. In integrated product and production engineering (PPE), knowledge transfer is an important success factor. Optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge transfers can, for example, support the avoidance of costly, production-related changes to the product design. The current state of research describes different models of knowledge transfer as well as factors that influence it. Some results show how the speed and quality of knowledge transfer can be improved by implementing so-called interventions. The German design industry is poised to take the next step in its development when it introduced building information modeling (BIM). The German Bundestag is requiring that public construction projects be completed with BIM. Over forty training providers offer a variety of BIM training courses, yet implementation is slowing. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are facing the challenge of implementing BIM. This study explores how SMBs' digital skills can be improved to implement BIM effectively. To this end, interviews with experts from nine companies were conducted and evaluated using the grounded theory. The interviewees express the view that investments in employee training can help build skills. All the same, SMBs only commit to BIM and training in response to growing demand. The interviews reveal that SMBs' low level of knowledge is attributable to their lack of practical experience with BIM. SMBs without any prospect of a pilot BIM project do not invest in training. A major finding is that SMBs do not consider BIM training expedient -- even when it is free - because they do not anticipate any demand for BIM services in the short or medium term. Clear-Air Craiova was a volunteering project, successfully implemented in 2020, in Craiova city. Within this project, an independent network of 13 sensors for air quality monitoring and an awareness campaign were developed. Clear Air Oltenia is a natural continuation in 2021 of the previous project, Clear Air Craiova, expanding the network of sensors throughout SW region of Romania. The results of these projects emphasize the role of academic-community cooperation and knowledge transfer toward the general public, opening opportunities for further initiatives of public engagement as a part of the sustainable development of each community. We present an overview of the measurements derived from the independent sensors network installed in Craiova within the project. The data, which regards in particular measurements of PM10 concentration levels, is provided by 7 sensors which are representative for covering Craiova city, with measurement starting around 9 December 2020 and up to 22 Sept. 2021.
