Educational security is a worldwide concern which importance is growing continuously by the exponentially use of elearning tools and educational web contents, and in other hand more skilled hackers and online students exposed to commit cheat tempted to impersonate or substitute remote students. This problem is particularly important during the assessment process. Researchers on e-learning, psychologists, education professionals and computer sciences developers on related fields, conclude the main problem on online assessments is How can be sure the person we are assessing is really there? In this paper we review the state of the art on Biometrics, and we provide an approach to solve the remote identification problem on real time by means of students' fingerprint recognition on a continuous basis during the online assessment process, in a convenience way at an affordable price. We discuss the new application of the computer technology on testing the level of basic knowledge for a wide spectrum of subjects from theoretical physics to accounting, and business law even. We use client-server technology based on the natural evaluation process where the students (client) are tested for an examiner (server). We focused on the Question and Testing Interoperability stage, the creation of learning objects, and the use of Date Encryption Standard (DES) algorithms to cipher the transmission of information. This technology allows obtaining the document certifying the level of knowledge free of examiner person's prejudices and other conditions; to perform a quick testing of different groups at the remote places on any topics of the subject on a unified system through the Internet. The program runs on training or control regime. By means of possibilities of HTML, the system can use the Greek or national symbols, mathematical or chemical indexed expressions in natural forms and to present both simple and sophisticated materials in the habitual mode for students. At the end of the testing the student will receive a grade and a rating that represents the ratio between the time the student took for answering and the assigned time for each answer in an user friendly way.
