The article presents information about the annual dinner and meeting of the membership of the Gamma Chapter of New York of the sociological society Alpha Kappa Delta at New York University in New York City, held on April 29, 1944. Various members were inducted with the chapter, including Pauline Buirski, Barbara Jean Rich, Rochelle Dworkin, Adele Brown and Rona Raphan from Washington Square College; Abraham Horn from Graduate School; Arthur Bello, Sarah Russell, Selma Herman, Florence Goody, Josephine Judin, Albert Hemsing and Elise King from School of Education and Marie Michels, Edward Savarese, Lester Abberbock, Frederic C. Moyse from School of Commerce. A prize of $25 was awarded to Professor Bradford Chambers for the winning essay in a contest held under the auspices of the chapter. An abstract of the work will be submitted to the Alpha Kappa Delta Quarterly for publication. The guest speaker of the evening was former warden Lewis E. Lawes. After being inducted to honorary membership, he addressed the audience on the "Work of Prisoners in Wartime."
