Taking the case of Yongji high-speed Zaoyuan Yellow River Bridge in Gansu Province, the installation method of high pier and long-span curved light steel girder is discussed in depth. According to the construction characteristics of the project, three construction schemes of overall pushing, cantilever assembly and cable hoisting are proposed, and finite element model calculation, analysis and verification of the same depth are carried out. Finally, the comprehensive comparison and selection of the cost, duration and quality of the three schemes are carried out to determine that the cable crane is the best construction technology, which provides the technical basis for the investment decision of the builder and provides a more comprehensive reference for the construction technology of the same type of bridge. Recently, the Microgrid system has been very widely used and developed. The types that are often used are DC and AC microgrids. In terms of quality, the DC microgrid has higher effectiveness than the AC microgrid. The dc microgrid system contains a battery as an energy backup system, which needs reasonable control to avoid overcharging and over-discharging. It can happen due to differences in the cable type or length of the cable line. Therefore, the droop control based on the SOC is used to control the battery on the microgrid network. Besides balancing the battery charging process, this controller can also be used to limit the bus voltage to the desired nominal voltage. The result of the research that has been done is that the droop control based on the SOC can balance the charging process for batteries that have different resistance cables and SOC with the help of MATLAB software. The process of industrial development is always dynamic, so it must have a high commitment so that companies in the industrialization process should be oriented toward customer desires. A reliable product planning design must maintain quality standards from the beginning of the process to the finished product so that the product unit is still in a good category when it reaches the customer because it is a major part that sustainability can be maintained consistently. Isolation machine engineering is carried out through Six Sigma, an overall approach to improve quality through the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). At the Define stage using the Pareto diagram, the highest product scrap is Pure Cu 51.70%, the measuring stage obtained a sigma value of 3.14, and the Analyze stage uses a hypothesis test on vital factors so that the tub-Jig Printing Roll Single is obtained with the Improve stage which is carried out with a replacement of tub-Jig Printing Roll Double obtained a sigma value of 3.99 with efficiency 84.38% and at the control, stage using SPC (Statistical Process Control) so that the product looks in a good control chart. This paper describes a twisted copper cable fault design using replication of an actual architecture network topology VDSL2 17a technology for ITU-993.2 in the Malaysia network. It focuses on the suburban area for the performance degradation capacity using MSAN and EXFO test gear instruments. Various cable faults emulate the Distribution Point (DP) that replicate in the disconnection module was made. The acquisitions data from MSAN and EXFO test gear based on the Loop Line Testing (LLT) parameters, especially in RC parameter on the correlation of the measurement of these two instruments, was collected. The emulation on the disconnection module based on the TDR for validity data range to MSAN was measured. The TDR signal result shows the wave based on cable faults and the correlation between MSAN and EXFO test gear. The network line or cable faults are classified into four conditions which are ideal, Bridge Tap (BT), short and open conditions. The faults were emulated and introduced in the network line with 100 m, 200 m, and 300 m distances between MSAN and Customer Premises (CP). The validity and data trend for its respective cable faults on RC parameter and observability of the MSAN and EXFO was produced. For open fault condition, the trend and pattern of the capacitance parameter shown that as the transmission line is added in capacitance properties, the capacitance series will also increase. Meanwhile, for short fault condition, the resistance properties were the main highlight. As short fault condition is introduced between Tip [A] and Ring [B], the resistance obtained is the lowest. The correlation between MSAN and EXFO results can significantly input the guideline when imposing cable fault in machine learning algorithm applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article examined cable-driven robots and methods of dealing with vibration. The configurations of cable robots, their advantages, and disadvantages, the problems and methods of reconfiguration of cable robots were considered. The identity of the models of under-constrained and constrained cable robots is shown under certain conditions. A mathematical model of cable vibrations was created, and numerical modeling of axial and transverse vibrations of cables with additional mass was done for constrained and under-constrained cable robots on the equilibrium position in the MSC Adams program. A decrease in the main frequency of longitudinal vibrations is shown, consequently, the cutoff frequency when moving the load away from the pulley and an increase in its mass. The appearance of high-frequency oscillations was also recorded, which were not observed in systems without additional weights. An increase in the frequency of transverse oscillations with a decrease of the distance to the load and a decrease in its mass is demonstrated. A deterioration of the properties of a system with additional weights on cables relative to a system without them is demonstrated for different configurations of a cable robot. Transverse and axial vibrations appeared with frequencies that differed from the main ones at times with different configurations. In some configurations, there are even two such frequencies. The Transmission line Tower is one of the most important life line structures in the distribution of power from source to different places for several purposes. And these towers carry heavy electrical transmission conductors at sufficient and safe height from ground. In addition to their self-weight they need to withstand all forces of nature like strong wind, earthquake. Therefore transmission line towers should be designed considering both structural and electrical requirements for a safe and economical design. The increasing demand for electrical energy can be met more economical by developing different light weight configurations of transmission line towers. In this project, tower is designed for a wind zone carrying 220KV. Tower is modeled using constant parameters such as angle section, wind zone, material etc. The wind loads are calculated using IS: 875(2015) Part-3. After completing the analysis, the study is done with respect to deflection, stresses and axial forces. The main objective of this paper is to determine the most efficient tower and its configuration based on IS: 800. The use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in various fields has developed rapidly. One of them is in the field of parking services. As the number of vehicles grows rapidly, causing an unbalanced growth between the number of vehicles and available land, this can be seen from the increasingly narrow parking spaces in every public place. It's difficult for drivers to find out the availability of parking spaces (parking slots) in a parking lot. This causes ineffective time because the driver takes a long time to find a parking space that is still empty, so that the road conditions become chaotic and often this causes congestion on the main roads. Therefore information about the availability of parking spaces is very important for drivers who will park their vehicles. This mobile-based parking reservation application equipped with parking location map features, parking slot availability information, parking slot booking, and features for parking administrators which include monitoring the status of parking slot availability. This system can solve conventional parking problems into a parking system that is more effective and efficient and benefits many parties, namely the driver, parking manager and other road users. In its application at the Yogyakarta City Hall parking lot, the number of cable loops used is 3 types of sizes, namely a cable with a stretch of 1×2.5 meters with a total loop of 11 loops, a cable with a stretch of 1×2 meters with a total loop of 10 loops, and a cable with a stretch of 1×0, 5 meters with a total of 23 looping. These three types of cables are used at six parking locations. All types of looping cable sizes applied to the parking sensor can work well as evidenced by the green indicator can respond to 300 ms while detecting a four-wheeled vehicle at the parking location. The device being developed is aimed at improving the reliability of power supply to electric power facilities and enterprises that have 6-20 kV power cable lines on their balance sheet, as well as to increase the level of digitalization of electric grid companies through the introduction of smart diagnostic devices with the ability of independent engineering analysis and calculation of non-standard transients in controlled facilities in order to determine the places of damage to the insulation and shells of high-voltage cable lines without human intervention during high-voltage diagnostics of lines. The proposed technical solutions make it possible to determine with high accuracy the places of defective insulation with an error not exceeding 0.2% of the length of the controlled cable. The device allows diagnostics of cable lines up to 10 km long. Any types of insulation breakdowns of single-phase and three-phase cable lines are diagnosed in all standard cross-sections of the current-carrying cable core with high transient resistance at the site of damage based on the developed hardware and software complex. Communication in the IEEE 802.11 protocol or what is known as Wi-Fi, uses open medium such as air to transmit data. This creates a higher vulnerability to data eavesdropping than closed media such as cables. The IEEE has established data security standards using the WEP method, then refined by the Wi-Fi Alliance to become WPA. In 2017 WPA version 2 has arisen a vulnerability so that it can be easily broken into by hackers. To solve this problem, in 2018 the Wi-Fi Alliance has developed a new standard, namely WPA3 which has a better method than WPA2 in securing wireless networks. The test results on the OpenWRT system show that the throughput on the WPA3 network is about 2 Mbps better with 6 times transmission failure. During the testing process with a duration of 1 minute, WPA3 network can deliver 13MB more data than WPA2. CPU utilization in WPA3 is higher when compared to WPA2, which is 6% during the peak-time testing process using the iPerf3 application, but WPA3 offers better security when compared to WPA2. Cable-net structure supported glass facades have been widely used as modern building facades in airports, hotels’ lobby and for the constructions that require a high aesthetic value in terms of appearance. Most of the researchers have neglected the contribution of glass on the stiffness of the cable-net structure. However, glass panels play an important role in the stiffness of the cable net structure when there are damages in cables. This study was carried out to determine the contribution of glass to the stiffness of damaged cable-net structure under static and dynamic loadings. The cable was subjected to 30%, 60% and 100% losses of the initial pre-stress in the cable. The glass stiffness contribution was determined from the deflection and natural frequency of the cable-net structure with and without glass panels under static and dynamic loadings. This paper gives the methodology to get the floor response spectra of the buildings following the results of the probabilistic assessment. On the base of the geophysical and seismological monitoring of locality the peak ground acceleration and the uniform hazard spectrum of the acceleration was defined for the return period 10 000 years. The methodology of the seismic resistance of the cable support structures are presented. The experimental and numerical analysis of the seismic resistance of the technology structures are discussed. This paper presents the dimension optimization of spatial suspended Cable Driven Parallel Robot (CDPR), with only four cables. The dimension of mobile platform as well as the positions of anchor points on to the mobile platform will be optimized, hence the mobile platform will be able to carry a thermal sensor for rapid- life- scan in the disaster area. The CDPR analyzed in this paper is suspended, thus the dimensioning of mobile platform is related to the performance of CDPR, namely its static and kinematic equilibrium. Six different case studies are investigated to determine the dimension of mobile platform and the positions of exit points on the mobile platform on to the mobile platform that minimize the maximum cable tensions and the maximum cable velocities. Mechanical properties of a cable are of great importance in design and strength calculation of flexible cables. The problem of determination of elastic properties and rigidity characteristics of a cable modeled by anisotropic helical elastic rod is considered. These characteristics are calculated indirectly by means of the parameters received from statistical processing of experimental data. These parameters are considered as random quantities. With taking into account probable nature of these parameters the formulas for estimation of the macroscopic elastic moduli of a cable are obtained. The calculating expressions for macroscopic flexural rigidity, shear rigidity and torsion rigidity using the macroscopic elastic characteristics obtained before are presented. Statistical estimations of the rigidity characteristics of some cable grades are adduced. A comparison with those characteristics received on the basis of deterministic approach is given. This paper presents the results of some experimental activities carried out in our specialized electromagnetic compatibility laboratory for equipments emissions analysis. It is in the interest of all sensitive information processing equipments owners to invest in data security measures but with respect to a reasonable budget. At the present the most common methods to prevent electromagnetic data leakage are represented by electromagnetic shielding solutions. Not always these solutions are the most efficient way to solve data security problem, especially from economical point of view. Our paper presents some aspects regarding interconnecting cables influence on the system vulnerability. A new approach for the erection of rigid large scale structures in space—MIC (Magnetically Inflated Cable)—is described. MIC structures are launched as a compact payload of superconducting cables and attached tethers. After reaching orbit, the superconducting cables are energized with electrical current. The magnet force interactions between the cables cause them to expand outwards into the final large structure. Various structural shapes and applications are described. The MIC structure can be a simple flat disc with a superconducting outer ring that supports a tether network holding a solar cell array, or it can form a curved mirror surface that concentrates light and focuses it on a smaller region—for example, a high flux solar array that generates electric power, a high temperature receiver that heats H2 propellant for high Isp propulsion, and a giant primary reflector for a telescope for astronomy and Earth surveillance. Linear dipole and quadrupole MIC structures are also possible. The linear quadrupole structure can be used for magnetic shielding against cosmic radiation for astronauts, for example. MIC could use lightweight YBCO superconducting HTS (High Temperature Superconductor) cables, that can operate with liquid N2 coolant at engineering current densities of ∼105 amp/cm2. A 1 kilometer length of MIC cable would weigh only 3 metric tons, including superconductor, thermal insulations, coolant circuits, and refrigerator, and fit within a 3 cubic meter compact package for launch. Four potential MIC applications are described: Solar-thermal propulsion using H2 propellant, space based solar power generation for beaming power to Earth, a large space telescope, and solar electric generation for a manned lunar base. The first 3 applications use large MIC solar concentrating mirrors, while the 4th application uses a surface based array of solar cells on a magnetically levitated MIC structure to follow the sun. MIC space based mirrors can be very large and light in weight. A 300 meter diameter MIC mirror in orbit for example, would weigh 20 metric tons and MIC structures can be easily developed and tested on Earth at small scale in existing evacuated chambers followed by larger scale tests in the atmosphere, using a vacuum tight enclosure on the small diameter superconducting cable to prevent air leakage into the evacuated thermal insulation around the superconducting cable.
