In the world it is difficult to design in terms of average dimension. For this reason anthropometric plays a great rule in the world in design of products. In Ethiopia T-72 tanks are the most important weapons that give a strong support to the ground force in the battle field. So the question of the correct ergonomically design and analysis of the driver seat especially in terms of comfort is mandatory so due to this fact, study anthropometric of driver's seat is very important. It is necessary to define the drivers' space and seat dimensions by considering the size of the average people according to their body dimensions. The basic questions for this research are (i) To what extent the soviet fabricated tank driver's seat is comfortable to Ethiopia army, (ii) Is there significant different between the body size dimension of soviet and Ethiopian army, and (iii) The Ethiopian military derivers have awareness of the comfort. The main goal of this paper is to conduct descriptive survey on an ergonomics assessment of driver's seat of T72 tank. Following sitting height, popliteal height, sitting to shoulder height, shoulder breadth, buttocks to popliteal length, and hip breadth seated anthropometric dimensions were measured of 45 subjects / respondents (35 males, 10 females) randomly selected from the field study. Mean, standard deviation, and T-test were calculated based on anthropometric data of subjects. Results revealed suggest a mismatch among the dimensions of current T-72 Russian fabricated tank motive force seat and the anthropometric dimensions of military staffs. This recommends that anthropometric information of the Ethiopian army tank drivers changed into not working in the design and manufacturing of the seats. This research is may be cautioned that tank driving force seat of T-72 tank and tank drivers anthropometric measurements are at variance. Therefore, the paper presents anthropometric statistics that may be utilized by the Russian manufacturers of tank seats design and fabrication it. The essential component of the vehicle is the driver seat. The expectation of the customer is increasing continuously to get a comfortable position for driving. The design of seat in an automobile has always been a challenging feat for engineers due to its complexity. The design engineer has to consider the fact that it must satisfy specific design objectives. The primary goals to be considered for design are safety, comfort, and small space. Driver seat recommendations of an automobile preferably of passenger cars are reviewed concerning Indian anthropometry. In this paper, the importance is given to fit parameters related to anthropometric measurements and particular attention of support parameters that deal with the posture of the occupant. The feel parameter is also taken into account during the designing process of the seat. The RULA analysis of the designed seat is carried out to check the comfortability of the driver. The design is done by taking account the people which accommodate the members of the population who lie between the 5th percentile female to 95th percentile male values of Indian manikin. A task to identify occupied seats in government buses for passengers emerges in the digital communicating world. In this project, the second stage is verifying a system with tagged seat sense and a camera for detecting whether the seat is occupied. It sees the availability or occupancy status of seats in any coach. In this work, detection of face overcomes the drawback caused due to seat sensor that indicates the seat is occupied when any objects are placed. The camera is inserted in the buses, connected with Raspberry Pi 3 B+ microcontroller. When the vehicle starts from its corresponding station, the images of people traveling are captured, adjusted, and improved by software communication. The transferred images are processed to count the commuters in the vehicle to find the vacancy of seats so that the passengers waiting in various stops can monitor the seat is available or not. In recent years the population has increased drastically due to which mobility in public transport has become a challenge in our day to day life. To manage with though more facilities has been introduced, People has started using more number of pr ivate transport due to inconvenience caused in the public transport system. A novel technique has been proposed to reduce the inconvenience caused in public transport facility. Major factor in public transport is crowd management and ticket issuing system. This work proposed to make an attempt to have a track of passenger's arrival and departure in to bus at a particular point and the number of vacant seats will be displayed. This would enhance the public to make a decision on boarding of the corresponding transport. We also have the ticket issuing system through cards which when provided the boarding and departure will automatically deduct the amount and the ticket will be generated. Also the number of vehicle arriving at a particular point will also be monitored and the requirement of further vehicles will be intimated to central control unit. By developing a web application, real-time statistics on seat availability and bus location will be displayed, as well as communication with passengers. With a high population density in Metro Manila, and having most of the workforce traveling in and out of the Metro, many transport methods are used to accommodate the commuters. The UV Express vans are one of the most common modes of transportation in the Philippines, 18-seater vans are commonly used for the UV-Express. Due to its popularity, makeshift seats are used to fit more passengers and have 4 passengers per row. This leads to comfortability problems as the passengers fit in a small space. The study was conducted to determine if the current measurements and number of passengers of the vans are suitable for public transport. The study focuses on the 18-seater vans which are the Hi-ace fifth-generation vans. Using statistical analysis such as regression, the determinants that affect the overall comfortability of the passengers were determined. The recommended improvements were proposed using relevant design tools. This can be concluded that the current measurements of the UV-Express vans are not suited to the current number of passengers since the seat width are not enough to fit four in a row and the actual measurement for leg space are below the recommended measurement for the leg space. This paper is about analysis and simulation of the transmissibility characteristics of those materials. Gain and phase depends mainly on visco-elastic behavior of polyurethane foam. The main aim is to analyze dynamic behavior and optimize strain and pre-stress of polyurethane foam and covering material. The objective of this research is to design the layout and identify the suitable fabric for child seat on the modified pickup vehicle using low manufacturing process. The 1800D polyester covered by PVC (polyvinylchloride) and 420D nylon are selected to be candidate specimens because of affordable and abrasive conditions. To identify the strength and elongation, fabric specimens were tested with a tensile testing machine based on ASTM D5035-11 standard with strip method. As a result, the force responses of both fabrics can support Thai students from age of 6 to 14 years old with average of 33.7 kg weight. The specimens from polyester and nylon fabrics had different force responses in principal directions from standard fabric roll. But the specimens from polyester fabric were approximately the same in such directions. However, the experimental results can predict methods of textile production in knitting and woven techniques. Furthermore, the waft and warp densities with such techniques have influences on the force responses and elongation of fabrics. Therefore, the 1800D polyester covered by PVC is suitable candidate because of the knitting technique that can provide thicker and stronger fabrics in both principal and bias directions. Subjectively speaking, the comfort of vehicles is closely related to a number of factors which together generate a state of comfort and satisfaction of those who are inside it and have the effect of moving safely with a sufficiently high speed, without causing physical and mental fatigue or damage the goods which are being carried. Since seat comfort is a feature of the ergonomics, it has been addressed in various ways by engineering firms, but also by various researchers in the field of ergonomics, who have demonstrated that this feature needs to be thoroughly approached by taking into account the anatomical shapes of the drivers and their needs in relation to the vehicle and the activities performed. The article presents a study to determine the whiplash injury prevention mechanisms in the Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS) through the use of simulated rear crashes of a human model of the neck (HUMON). WHIPS is an active injury prevention system used in automobiles to reduce risk to neck injury. The major components of the WHIPS recliner are also cited, including the energy-absorbing element, return spring and pivot shaft.
