Half of manufacturing companies' production capacity is estimated to be compromised due to disturbances. With the upcoming Industry 4.0, this problem is expected to be minimized through technological solutions. The aim of this article is to propose alternatives to handle production disturbances by means of technological support, to minimize their occurrence and impacts. To this purpose, we conducted a literature review and a series of interviews with five companies. We distinguish six stages for handling production disturbances: detection, diagnosis, mitigation/correction, root cause analysis, prevention, and prediction. Our results indicate that all these stages are expected to benefit from Industry 4.0 technologies significantly. Furthermore, our results point out that practitioners perceive the stages of prevention and prediction with the highest potential for improvement. However, focus on the diagnosis and root cause analysis stages is also necessary since those stages are coupled to the prevention and prediction. The contributions of this article are twofold. Firstly, it provides a holistic view of the stages and technologies to handle production disturbances in Industry 4.0, from which practitioners can extract directions for implementation. Health service managers play a crucial role in managing and leading in the digital health environment. Development of the health management workforce that is ready to lead and manage digital health transformation requires partnerships across sectors, in not only developing workforce competence but also in developing supportive mechanisms that can translate competencies into practice. A framework presenting a systematic approach in enabling the development of a competent health management workforce in the digital health era has recently been published. The purpose of this paper is to explore and discuss the application of the framework in the Australian context, informed by the findings of a PhD research project that uses an empirically validated four-step approach to confirm the health service management workforce development needs in the digital health context. The PhD project has already confirmed: 1) the paucity of Australian Health Informatics Competency Framework (AHICF) competencies being included in Australian health service management postgraduate program curricula; 2) five key strategies that contribute to developing health management workforce competency and capacity; and 3) seven key factors that enable health management workforce development in the digital health context. Further understanding of the barriers and enablers for health service managers to develop capability and manage in the digital health environment, and the factors that influence digital health policy and practice will be developed, by critically analysing findings from focus group discussions with health managers and semi-structured interviews with digital health leaders, to be completed by May 2023. The desire to access personal and high-quality health information electronically is increasing, not only in Canada, but globally. With the advent of the COVID - 19 pandemic the desire and demand for telemedicine and timely access to personal health data such as online laboratory (lab) results has increased substantially. This study examines citizens' perspectives of being provided with high-quality information about a specific lab test (i.e., potassium) in the same display as a trend graph. Therefore, the objective of this study is to test how participants managed this additional information about the context of the test, understood, and applied it. The researchers analyzed the responses of semistructured interviews with Canadian participants (N=24) using conventional content analysis. This paper examined four themes related to providing complementary information concurrently with lab results in the same display: 1) Benefits of Collocated Information, 2) Information Overload, 3) Misinterpretation, 4) Confusion. This study provided examples of some of the difficulties that the participants faced accessing their lab values online, while navigating and discerning complimentary high-quality health information available in their patient portal. To improve parents' experience in the pediatric emergency waiting room by means of an information tool, the information needs of parents and pediatric patients need to be determined. It is necessary to find an optimal design for the information needed to be understandable by and useful to the parents. This paper presents the first step of designing an information tool aiming to improve patient/parent experience, encourage the understanding of the care process, and optimize the patient-caregiver relationship. In order to acquire insight into parents' information needs, exploratory interviews were conducted and benchmark research had been performed. Furthermore, one focus group session with parents was conducted to identify their information needs, determine the format of the information tool, and visualize the best ideas by using paper mock-ups. The focus group concluded that parents prefer an information screen to a smartphone application. In Norway there is an overall goal to establish a national digitalization platform for primary healthcare named Akson to improve information exchange. We participated in the work with Akson and through qualitative research including interviews, we found that the project could benefit from other similar infrastructuring processes. First, a national process of defining clinical standards and establishing a governance organization to handle them. Second, improving data exchange between an EHR system and a national quality registry. The aim of the paper is to outline some lessons learned from these previous processes, for Akson and similar large-scale projects focusing on how to govern the digitalization platform at different healthcare levels and how to reuse healthcare information within and across healthcare institutions. Hence, we ask the following research question: Which experiences from previous large-scale infrastructuring processes should be considered when establishing a national digitalization platform for sharing data? Shared Autonomous Vehicles (SAV) are expected to disrupt present shared mobility concepts, contributing to the aspects of the sharing economy. Numerous studies are lately being published in regards of SAV, illustrating future application, customer services but also its positive contribution to sociality and ecology. At present, a perspective from experts and customers mindset to gain future acceptance is extremely important. This paper aims to identify acceptance criteria for the use of a mobility concept combining autonomous driving and carsharing. As both of these innovative mobility concepts arise and become more common, an approach to combine both concepts seems evident. 28 semi-structured expert interviews are conducted in order to gain a widespread insight into possible customer acceptance criteria. Sociological data show that modern society is in a deep crisis from which different profiles seek a way out. The pandemic we are facing today, Covid-19 has created powerful oscillations in the physical and mental world of man. In times of crisis, religion is one of the most important social agents that comes to the aid of man. It manifests itself as a moral prophylaxis, as a hopeful, comforting element. Thus, there is a fair correlation between the increase in the size of the crisis and the strengthening of spirituality or religiosity. In situations of crises, believers experience intense spiritual activity, a closer connection with the supernatural, and even more extreme cases are recorded when even agnostics, non-believers change their perception of "truth here and there." Especially when science, even the most advanced, the most sophisticated, is left speechless in front of a virus that shakes us all, that has plagued us and closed us planetarily. According to Gallup research conducted between March 28 and April 1, 2020, it was found that mental, dietary and exercise life has deteriorated, while religious life has advanced to 19% of respondents, a figure which Newport (2020) describes as a religious renaissance. In this context, the same analyst also mentions the ascending curve of religious persons and entities that perform positive, integrative, charitable tasks. Prof. Bentzen states that interest in information about prayer in Google increased sharply (in 95 countries) during March 2020 when Covid 19 became a global phenomenon. (Glatz, 2020). This paper utilizes the historical and analytical methods and is also based on content analysis, interviews, and empirical data on this very sensitive issue of 21st century, focused on global and local dimensions. Findings from our field research conducted in March 2021 show an increasing religiosity in Covid-19 times: more than 2/3 of respondents feels themselves more religious in the period of Covid-19 and the most frequent words in the interviews were 'belief' and 'God'. The Electronic Health Record (EHR) has been a principal component in transforming healthcare from traditional pen-and-paper documentation procedures to highly digitalized and interoperable environments. Implementation of EHR is complicated, and success is dependent on the users accepting and utilizing the system to its potential. The present qualitative multi-center study investigated health professionals perceived system usability, user resistance and productivity five to eight years after implementation of a modern EHR, across three European cites. Data was collected with semi-structured interviews with experienced health professionals that had work experience before and after implementation of the EHR. Overall, the respondents considered their EHR to have good usability, reported a low degree of user resistance, and were ambiguous on how the EHR affected their perceived workload at the present, but retrospectively reported that the road towards the present state of satisfaction was not without hurdles. Usability testing has historically been an in-person activity where test participants and evaluation researchers are co-located. Recruiting participants into usability studies can be a challenging endeavor especially when potential participants are concerned about time commitments and social distancing. The global COVID-19 pandemic has driven the development of remote usability testing methods. In this paper, we describe remote usability testing as it evolved during a pre-pandemic research study. We adapted our in-person usability evaluation methodology for a commercially available mHealth app to a remote usability testing methodology to accommodate potential participants during a more convenient participant-identified time. In doing so we met the needs, preferences, and availability of our participants and maintained research progress. Adapting to patient-centered needs through remote usability testing has the potential to facilitate continued research and engage potential participants due to its convenience, flexibility, and decrease constraints presented by geographic limits. In Norway, the process of developing a national shared medication list has been underway for several years. The shared medication list provides an overview of all the medications used by a patient. However, its proper use requires that it be maintained regularly through so-called medication reconciliation processes in which health personnel clarify -- and ask patients -- what and how much medication they use. We explore the work embedded in the bedside medication reconciliation process at a hospital, the health personnel conducting this work and the implications for the shared medication list. To address global threats such as climate change, E-Learning modules that deal with sustainable management can contribute to change users' minds and encourage them to address these threats. Thereby, these modules can be the driving force for a transformation towards a more sustainable society. However, studies that examine the benefits and challenges of E-Learning modules for sustainable management are missing. Thus, the main goal of this paper is to identify potentials and challenges of developing, implementing and using these modules. To reach this goal, we conducted a qualitative study by interviewing 23 experts in the E-Learning and sustainability domain. Thereby, we identify three potentials and five impacts of E-Learning modules for sustainable management and show that these modules can encourage users to include sustainability aspects in their decision-making process. Previous studies have emphasized the importance of selecting a project-specific information system development (ISD) method. In addition, timely decision making in ISD projects is increasingly important: nowadays, most ISD projects are outsourced, and all decisions affecting the outsourcing, such as ISD method (ISDM) selection, should be made before contracts are signed. However, although some ISDM selection models are presented, their practical utilization, especially timing of decisions, is seldom discussed. If a pre-project process is not clearly defined, there is a risk that the right moment for decision-making will pass. Thus, it is important to study what the situation is in practice. The data from a systematic literature review and 31 ISD expert interviews were analyzed, and, based on the findings, recommendations for pre-project process and timing of decision-making are presented. The objective of this study was to investigate and analyze the most relevant aspects that influence the development and implementation of electronic informed consent for genetic studies. Interviews were conducted with experts in the area within our institution, the different informed consents available and the number of genetic studies requested in the last 5 years were analyzed. Professionals acknowledged the ethical dilemmas related to the genetic studies and the importance of having an electronic informed consent that not only provides the patient with the information necessary to understand the implications of the study, but also be flexible enough to adapt to the various genetic studies today. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of modern health and safety legislation and of accepted approaches to safety management. However, based on detailed interviews with construction site managers on a mix of small- to mediumsized projects—and by drawing on existing, widely based, risk-perception research—this paper provides evidence that risk perception, as opposed to a formal risk assessment, plays a significant role in safety decision making. It also highlights marked and disturbing differences between on-site risk identification, assessment and decision-making processes and those envisaged in safety management teaching as well as current legislation. The emerging cost-effective and powerful standalone VR hardware is an increasingly viable supplement to traditional clinical educational modalities. These traditional approaches are effective but can be limited by the cost of simulation infrastructure, the requirement to attend at fixed times and locations and instructor availability present challenges in meeting the needs of clinicians. One barrier facing educators looking to develop bespoke VR-based solutions is the lack of guidelines around their design, development, deployment, and evaluation. Our team has produced and deployed a number of VR-based educational applications. Through reflecting on findings from surveys, interviews, observation, we summarise a range of insights into the complexity and nuances of the clinical VR design and deployment in a framework that can inform and guide educators, clinicians and developers looking to create their own VR applications for use in healthcare. Online communities in health care are well established as technologies for facilitating interactions between patients with common conditions and communication between patients and health professionals. Less well known is how health professionals use these platforms to connect with their peers, particularly for interprofessional education or support. We present early results from our exploratory international mixed methods (survey and interview) study of health professionals' experience of engaging with online communities for interprofessional peer education. Our results show that health professionals had relatively high levels of confidence engaging with multiple platforms. They used the platforms to formally and informally share evidence-based content, engage in collegial debate and connect with international colleagues. Health professionals are keen to engage with online communities for education and are aware of how these sites' functionality can promote engagement with interdisciplinary peers. The Learning Health Systems (LHS) framework demonstrates the potential for iterative interrogation of health data in real time and implementation of insights into practice. Yet, the lack of appropriately skilled workforce results in an inability to leverage existing data to design innovative solutions. We developed a tailored professional development program to foster a skilled workforce. The short course is wholly online, for interdisciplinary professionals working in the digital health arena. To transform healthcare systems, the workforce needs an understanding of LHS principles, data driven approaches, and the need for diversly skilled learning communities that can tackle these complex problems together. AI tools are being introduced within health services around the globe. It is important that tools are developed and validated using the available health information of the population where it is intended to be used. We set out to determine what patients thought about the use of their health information for this purpose. In interviews we found that the patients of a health service in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand, are generally comfortable with their health information being used for these purposes but with conditions (around public good, governance, privacy, security, transparency, and restrictions on commercial gain) and with careful consideration of their perspectives. We suggest that health services should take the time to have these conversations with their communities and to provide open and clear communication around these developments in their services. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an information-intense environment where more patient data points are recorded than in other wards. The electronic Record for Intensive Care (eRIC) is an ICU information system that integrates patient data every minute from multiple systems. Once implemented across New South Wales (NSW), eRIC will be one of the largest system-wide ICU clinical information systems in the world. This study explored experiences with the use of eRIC by ICU clinicians at an Australian metropolitan teaching hospital. Semistructured, in-depth interviews relating to physician electronic test management processes were conducted with 11 ICU clinicians and one clinical information system manager was observed in their use of the system. The introduction of eRIC resulted in an additional patient record, which was perceived to hold implications for workflow and patient safety. The purpose of this study was to design, develop, and deploy a visitor management system (VMS) to effectively manage visitors during COVID-19. The VMS was designed using the User-Centered Design (UCD) methodology. The iterative process of UCD includes 3 interviews and 5 usability tests and cognitive walkthrough cycles. This system comprised six parts: the WEB server provides visit scheduling service; the database server stores visit data and provides visit data services; the mobile application server provides security checks and scanning services; the electronic medical record (EMR) server provides ward data service; the Internet application gateway provides health code data service and exchanges health code data with the Sichuan Tianfu Health Code platform, and the service bus enables the centralized exchange and integration of visit data. Patients' online record access is a worldwide phenomenon, where Sweden is one of the pioneers in actual countrywide implementation. Healthcare professionals (HCPs) have previously raised usability issues with e-health systems and proposed several solutions, yet no studies have explored PAEHRs from this perspective. The aim of this study was to describe primary HCPs' suggestions on how the Swedish online record could be improved. They (n=14) were asked what they would like to improve with the system to increase usability and usefulness for patients or for themselves. Suggestions covered expanding what patients could view, simplification of the service for both the patients and themselves, adding feedback functions, and limiting access to only signed records. Capability maturity models have been developed and are widely used within healthcare aiming to assess the degree of digitization of the organization, but empirical assessments of the models themselves has been undertaken infrequently. We present a mixed-method approach to assessing a novel health capability maturity model developed by a state government responsible for the management of 86 health services. The approach was designed to be suitable for system level assessment of services and pooled the wisdom and experience of subject matter experts and key stakeholders using a combination of survey and interviews to test and tune the proposed assessment approach and parameters. We applied the approach to assess the target capability model across a number of public health services in Victoria, Australia. The result showed sufficient validity to be able to generate recommendations for further improvement of the capability model and the assessment approach to enable broader application within Australia. Telemedicine is being used in an increasing number of countries as an alternative to face-to-face traditional healthcare, to reduce the chances of spreading COVID-19. Although the use and benefits of telemedicine have been increasingly demonstrated for a long time, we do not know much about its adoption and use during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the community is confined by the social distancing restrictions. The main aim of this research is to study the factors affecting the adoption and use of telemedicine in patients during the period of COVID-19 restrictions. We also want to investigate the benefits of telemedicine for patients. We used a qualitative approach in this study. We interviewed six patients who used telemedicine during the COVID-19 restrictions. We find that telemedicine applications offered an overall positive experience for patients as a viable alternative way of medical care when physical attendance was restricted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A foundation for digitally enabling healthier living is the safe development and use of technology. The practice of digital health safety has emerged from patient harm attributed to failing technologies. The study aimed to investigate how to adopt and implement digital health safety guidelines at scale. Data was collected through an online survey, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, document review, and data mining of artefacts. The findings of this study capture the emerging practice from Australia in a way that offers insights into the problem of practice, patient safety practice, safety culture, and socio-technical factors. The research findings contribute to better understanding of the complexities of balancing digital innovation with patient safety. Common syntax and data semantics are core components of healthcare interoperability standards. However, interoperable data exchange processes are also needed to enable the integration of existing systems between organizations. While solutions for healthcare delivery processes are available and have been widely adopted, support for processes targeting bio-medical research is limited. Our Data Sharing Framework creates a platform to implement research processes like cohort size estimation, reviews and approvals of research proposals, consent checks, record linkage, pseudonymization and data sharing across organizations. The described framework implements a distributed business process engine for executing BPMN 2.0 processes with synchronization and data exchange using FHIR R4 resources. Journalism university education in a western democracy, like Sweden, is responsible to The National Agency for Higher Education. The education is expected to foster future journalists to work for preserving and developing democracy by comprehensively informing citizens, scrutinizing those with power and giving room for different opinions. The universities are urged to establish good relations with the media sector and make the students employable and well prepared for work in changing media technologies. These requirements of journalism education raise the question if the media sector's view of the role of journalism is coherent with that of the National Agency. Do the working conditions allow the new journalists to fulfil the social responsibility mission? The ongoing study presented in this paper concerns the relation between professional university education and professional praxis in working life. The study is composed of ethnographic-inspired news room case studies and follow-up interviews. The results indicate differences in working conditions according to journalists' different positions and in different media companies in relation to the democratic mission and codes of ethics of journalism. Web working conditions, such as immediacy and "audimat", challenge the professional journalistic work, while an autonomous, solitary, local press newsroom allows for executing responsible journalism. The aim of this study is to generate the preliminary indicators of dynamic marketing capability in the hospitality sector especially in hotel. The component of the dynamic marketing capability consist of market sensing, market learning and market targeting and positioning. The methods of this study using case in selected seven hotels three star to five star in Jakarta, Bandung, and Banten area. The indicators for three dimension of dynamic marketing capability gain from literature study, interview with practitioner in hotel industry such as general managers, director level, and owners. The present research is expected to extend the prior research contributing to the extant literature by investigating an emerging concepts and deeper understanding of dynamic capability especially in marketing of hotel industry. The advent of digital technologies enabled new Product Service Systems (PSSs) grounded by digital capabilities, i.e. digital PSS. Although the literature has already begun to explore some cases of PSS offerings supported by digital technologies, it remains a considerable gap about the role of digital capabilities in new PSS solutions provided by product firms. In this context, the purpose of this study is to answer the important question: how digital capabilities support different types of PSSs? Following Cusumano's et al. (2014) division of PSS offerings according to the role of service, i.e. smoothing, adapting and substituting, we conducted interviews in Brazilian companies representing these types of PSS. These cases were selected because the PSS offerings were supported by digital technologies. Our findings show that the digital capabilities can have different implications in PSS and that their im-portance variates according to the role of services in adding value to the digital PSS offering. Particular-ly, product monitoring digital capabilities were highlighted as relevant for all types of PSSs, while optimization and autonomy digital capabilities were stated as important only to higher value-added offers. This article conducts explorative interviews with employees working in the homeoffice during the Covid-19 pandemic to learn about their strategies and challenges in the management of work and non-work domain boundaries. On the basis of identified challenges to manage temporal, physical, and psychological flexibility of boundaries in the homeoffice, a real-world use case is analyzed to understand the potentials of a technologysided tool in support of employees' boundary management strategies in the homeoffice. The analysis of the iPhone downtime feature reveals implemented digital nudging design mechanisms and conversation-driven elements to influence user decision-making according to their desired behavior. This contributes a practice-oriented solution to the real-life challenge of managing work and non-work domain boundaries and also provides an employee-centric research perspective on how to put nudge design into practice. People with Parkinson's disease (PD) can have dysarthria, a voice disorder that affects speech intelligibility. To fight this disorder people may resort to speech and language therapy. Unfortunately, weekly speech therapy sessions may not be enough, because to achieve and maintain good voice quality, intensive training is required. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic brought attention to the need for alternative speech therapy treatments that complement face-to-face appointments. Here, we propose a serious therapy game to improve voice loudness that can be used for intensive therapy or when face-to-face appointments are not possible. The game integrates three voice exercises used in speech therapy sessions for people with PD and aims to provide motivation for patients to perform the exercises on a daily basis. This application evaluates the vocal intensity, vocal frequency and maximum phonation time, offering real-time visual feedback. The global COVID-19 pandemic has driven innovations in methods to sustain initiatives for the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of clinical support technology in long-term care settings while removing risk of infection for residents, family members, health care workers, researchers and technical professionals. We adapted traditional design and evaluation methodology for a mobile clinical decision support app - designated Mobile Application Information System for Integrated Evidence ("MAISIE") - to a completely digital design methodology that removes in-person contacts between the research team, developer, and nursing home staff and residents. We have successfully maintained project continuity for MAISIE app development with only minor challenges while working remotely. This digital design methodology can be implemented in projects where software can be installed without in-person technical support and remote work is feasible. Advanced chronic kidney disease is a serious and common medical condition with significant treatment choices incurring varying high treatment burdens. Better understanding on how to best collect quality of life (QoL) in this unique situation may help guide critical decisions. This study investigates the acceptability of digital QoL questionnaires completed during routine haemodialysis sessions. Qualitative data was collected from patient (n=23) and clinical researcher (n=2) interviews alongside analysis of data from questionnaires completed by patients (n=101) during a 6-week validation study. Interviews refined the content and format of digital QoL questionnaires and provided novel insights regarding how patients assessed and completed QoL questions. This study suggests collecting QoL data using digital tablet technology during routine haemodialysis clinics is both feasible and acceptable to patients and has provided novel insights that are not routinely available with traditional methods. Especially in chronic diseases, such as shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS), good self-management is important for patients to take personal responsibility for their treatment and make informed decisions in rehabilitation processes. Mobile apps integrating game design elements have great potential to increase patients' self-management skills. A total of 21 functionalities for a self-management app were derived from semi-structured interviews with six patients and three therapists. Thereby, 'welcome messages', a 'personalized home-screen', and 'training plans' are rated as particular useful. Ten of these functionalities could be implemented in a first prototype of 'SISco: your shoulder impingement syndrome companion'. SISco provides possibilities for creating and executing training programs, learning about SIS, checking daily challenges, and making diary entries. The objective of this study was to assess the feasibility of using an electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) to assess inpatient respiratory depression rates following elective primary total hip or total knee arthroplasty using data routinely collected in electronic health records. Measure testing was conducted at two large urban, academic health systems -- Mass General Brigham and a geographically distant system in southern U.S. The risk-adjusted inpatient respiratory depression rates were 3.83 and 2.73% for the two health systems, respectively. Clinician group rates ranged from 1.40 to 4.35%, demonstrating opportunity for improvement. Both the data and measure specifications showed strong reliability and validity to allow for calculation of accurate and comparable rates of inpatient respiratory depression. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Communication between patients and hospital staff is a vital part of patient satisfaction and can contribute to better healthcare outcomes. Especially in emergency departments, where the workload is high, it is difficult to always address the communication needs of patients. In a qualitative study, we interviewed 32 patients in emergency departments in Australia. We found that, in the context of the emergency department, the characteristics of the source assumes an essential role in the appraisal of information. Especially if patients show low health literacy hospital staff needs to engage with them. As Named Entity Recognition (NER) has been essential in identifying critical elements of unstructured content, generic NER tools remain limited in recognizing entities specific to a domain, such as drug use and public health. For such high-impact areas, accurately capturing relevant entities at a more granular level is critical, as this information influences real-world processes. On the other hand, training NER models for a specific domain without handcrafted features requires an extensive amount of labeled data, which is expensive in human effort and time. In this study, we employ distant supervision utilizing a domain-specific ontology to reduce the need for human labor and train models incorporating domain-specific (e.g., drug use) external knowledge to recognize domain specific entities. Dengue is a main public health issue around the world and is an epidemic in Brazil. As part of the Brazilian national program to fight the disease, every municipality has a Zoonosis Control Center responsible for health and case surveillance, among other actions. The fieldwork includes routine visiting of houses and strategic sites (e.g. industries and vacant lands), water sampling, container elimination, and larvicide administration. However, the field data are gathered and summarized by hand. In this work, our goal is to ease the collection and visualization of field data to support decision-making. We have developed a mobile system to collect and georeference field data which could then be used to build geospatial and geo-temporal visualizations of indices such as House, Container, and Breteau1 indices. Electronic Integrated Antenatal Care is a web-based application for antenatal care (ANC) data and information management for independent practice midwives. This study aimed to assess the end-user needs for e-iANC development. Their needs for data and information were represented by a use case diagram. Five key stakeholders were identified related to the development of an e-iANC. Interviewing representatives of each informant provided the functions, and information content and flows for each function. The Extended e-iANC needs and promoted insight among all of the actors' perspectives. The use-case scenario for extended e-iANC includes all of the elements of midwifery care include antenatal care, childbirth, puerperium, immunization, and family planning. The deployment of integrated information of extended e-iANC with the primary healthcare applications and the district health department is necessary for comprehensive information on maternal and child care innovation. Objective: This article presents a mobile application model for the treatment tracking of in-hospital wounds. Methods: A survey of the literature on mobile apps for wound monitoring was carried out. Health professionals were interviewed and wound forms were analyzed to synthesize the application's fields and features. We designed the application model using a prototyping tool. Results: The prototype features interfaces for patient evaluation, different functionalities according to the role of the health professional, a dashboard for monitoring the open admissions, selection of wound locations using a body model, treatment prescribing, tracking the wounds using photos, and generating wound reports. Conclusion: The adoption of this application could optimize wounds' treatment, increase patient safety, reduce material expenditures and time for professionals with rework in the dressing procedure. Teaching foreign languages with online resources is a great source of creativity and innovation. That is why, the Internet use in teaching has become a motivating factor among students. Teaching language competences - listening, reading, writing and speaking – is enriched with the help of online resources used as valuable input for language lessons. The use of internet resources to teach English for Professional Communication offers students the possibility of becoming exposed to realia, that is, to valuable real situations and contexts of interaction. It is one thing to teach students tips about effective interviews, which can be passive and boring to a certain point, and another thing to show them good and bad examples of these. In this way, students become motivated and involved in a dynamic process of thoughtful decisions and understanding. This article shows the importance of teaching English for Professional Communication with online resources as a motivating factor which promotes understanding and learning by discovery. In the main body of this article we are providing a lesson scenario based on internet resources and the motivation for our choices. The lesson covers various aspects of the job interview context intended to make students aware of their own performance in a similar situation. As regards the content of a job interview, students will experience typical questions and answers comparing their theoretical knowledge of how an interview should be with real life performances that are very often far from the ideal. In this way, students can evaluate the interviewees and learn from their good and bad “moves”. As far as the framework of a job interview is concerned, students are also exposed to non verbal communication, rules of behavior, register, dress code, aspects which are highly influential in determining the outcome of a job interview. We conducted a case study in a Dutch supermarket chain in order to explore the emergence of workarounds in the retail environment. We studied what types of workarounds occur during the use of retail information systems and how manager can handle the identified workarounds once they become aware of them. The data was acquired qualitatively through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and validated by means of an online survey. After identifying and classifying 29 workarounds, a conceptual framework was developed that links workaround features to workaround categories and then to certain actions as response to them, namely prevent, redesign, adopt and ignore. This study contributes to existing research by categorizing workarounds in an unexplored domain and developing a conceptual framework of workaround categories and responses. We were able to identify patterns of relationships between types of workarounds, some of them similar to those found for other industries and others that appear to be specific to retail work systems, probably due to the inherent characteristics of retail work systems. This article analyses the challenges of implementing a new electronic identification (eID) framework in Finland. We employ the theoretical lens of dialectics to explain how two opposing forces in the form of public and private actors, the government and banks respectively, engaged in a process of resistance and acquiescence. By interviewing the key organizations from both sides, we identify the rationale of the conflict, mechanisms that have led and may lead to further conflict, and the outcome. The root cause of the problems with the framework include the conflicting goals of the government and banks: the regulators' interests to create more competition in the market, generate cost savings, decrease the dependence on banks vs. the objectives of the banks to maintain the status quo. Moreover, the framework implementation practices, such as the hard enforcement strategy, inherent infrastructuring mindset of the government and communication problems, have considerably contributed to further conflict development. As a result, divergent views on the framework architecture and the pricing models are the outcomes of the confrontation. Our findings emphasize the importance of strategic and operational coherence in the governance of a changing ecosystem with a proprietary banking platform playing a role in a national eID scheme. Atopic dermatitis is a common chronic dermatological disease in childhood that can affect people's quality of life. The aim of this study was to inquire about the difficulties, needs and interests related to the disease that people with eczema and their caregivers have; in order to develop a tool that is useful for the follow-up of the illness. Electronic surveys were sent to potential users and interviews were conducted with professionals who are specialized on the subject. The main findings allowed us to understand the challenges and situations they face on a daily basis, such as the difficulties related to the family support, the queries on the eczema flare-ups, the struggles with the adherence to treatment and the needs of optimizing their quality of life. Providing urgent and emergency care to migrant children is often hampered or delayed. Reasons for this are language barriers when children, and their care givers, don't speak any of the languages commonly spoken in Switzerland, which include German, French, Italian, and English.
