In tropical forests, fruit-bearing trees play a crucial role in species diversity. In developing countries, they have a significant impact on nutrition and local diets, and their diversity is astounding. Due in part to the increased focus on research, development and marketing of exotic fruits, native fruit availability and consumption is declining in most regions. As a result of population growth and severe forest degradation caused by over-exploitation and infrastructure development, native fruits are in short supply. This paper aims to review the community structure of wild fruit tree species within the forest areas of Kuala Keniam, National Park, Pahang. To this date, there is no detailed research to record wild fruit tree composition and diversity in this area. As a place that consists of high diversity and population dynamics, it will be interesting and meaningful to study the diversity of wild fruit trees variation of this area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
