In 2012, the American Pharmacists Association Foundation (APhAF) recognized 17 women and three organizations for their work as pioneers and leaders among female pharmacists. In 2022, the APhAF selected ten additional leaders among contemporary women in American pharmacy to be honored in the Women in Pharmacy Exhibit and Conference Room on the top floor of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) headquarters building in Washington, D.C. These ten leaders gathered at a symposium in their honor in October 2022 at APhA headquarters. This paper summarizes the accomplishments of the ten contemporary women and documents their comments at the symposium, where they discussed their perspectives on practice innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, philanthropy, community service, and mentorship. Abstract The Arctic issues are no longer only of concern to the inter-Arctic, as regards regional matters, rather, they involve the interests of States outwith the Arctic and the overall interests of the international community. In 2018, China issued a White Paper on China's Arctic Policies, which is the first White Paper from the Chinese Government, concerning the Arctic Region. As a proactive actor in Arctic affairs, China is keen to participate in affairs concerning the Arctic, in seeking to build the, 'Ice Silk Road'. In May 2018, Dalian Maritime University organised the 5th Sino-Canadian Exchange on the Arctic, to bring together academics and policy makers, to discuss various issues in this field of research and concern. This brief report provides details of the key issues discussed during the conference which may assist in developing a better understanding, in order to achieve good Arctic governance. The knowledge sharing among researchers, decision makers and practitioners becomes necessary for understanding new transportation trends and incorporating innovative transportation strategies in urban planning according to the economic competitiveness and business needs. The paper presents the tools and activities used in the frame of the “Enhancing excellence and innovation capacity in sustainable transport interchanges” (ALLIANCE) project in order to make knowledge sharing among project partners and stakeholders effective and sustainable. The paper goal is to define the framework to measure the effectiveness of the knowledge sharing activities with linkage to the general H2020 TWINNING programme goals, Transport and Telecommunication Institute (Latvia) Research programme for 2016−2020 and specific goals of the ALLIANCE project. The 4th International Symposium for Arctic Research (ISAR-4) with the theme of “Rapid change of the Arctic climate system and its global influence” was held as the science symposium of the Arctic Science Summit Week 2015, together with the 3rd International Conference for Arctic Research Planning (ICARPIII) with the theme of “Integrating Arctic Research: a Roadmap for the Future,” in Toyama, Japan, from April 27 to April 30, 2015. There were 340 oral and 177 poster presentations, totalling 511 presentations.
