First with Kaldor, who considers it as an independent functions of capital accumulation; later with the substitution of Schumpeter scheme based on a rigorous distinction between the inventive process, which is outside the concern, and the innovatory one, which defines the role of the entrepreneur, with a more fluid scheme that regards large concerns as the subject of imputation of either process; lastly with Arrow's attempt to consider the worker's productive experience as a constituent part of that process of acquisition of Knowledge which culminates in the modification of technology; with these three passages it is possible to draw an outline leading to recognize innovation/invent ion as more and more deeply rooted within the real productive process.
