The theoretical analysis and experimental data on the adsorption and catalysis of H - containing molecules: dipole-like H2, H2O and H2S with slight dipole moment. The feature of the spectra of electron states in nanostructures demonstrates mechanisms responsible for the enhanced gas sensitivity and catalysis. Comparison of experimental results on the electro-adsorption phenomena with theory allows to estimate the characteristic energy bands on the surface Ea for different molecules. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
