This article presents information on the generation of Kasami sequences. Code-division multiple-access, based on spreadspectrum communication systems requires many pseudonoise sequences with sharp autocorrelation and small cross-correlation. Kasami sequences are classified into two sets: the small set of Kasami sequences and the large set of Kasami sequences. It has been proved that the periodic correlation functions of any sequences x and y belonging to the small sets of Kasami sequences. Thus, although the large set of Kasami sequences involves the small set of Kasami sequences and a set of Gold or Gold-like sequences as subsets, the correlation hound equals that of Gold or Gold-like sequences.

This article presents information about variable-frequency oscillators. An oscillator is defined as anything that swings back and forth like a pendulum or travels back and forth between two points. An electronic oscillator is a device used for producing alternating current. Frequency is the number of times that a periodic function repeats the same sequence of values during a unit of time or the number of complete oscillations of a wave per second. There are two basic kinds of oscillators: sinusoidal and relaxation. The mechanisms that produce these two types of oscillations are different, as are the required conditions for oscillation.
