Chapter 30 of the book "Peterson's Principles of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" is presented. It cites the need for physicians to consider odontogenic cysts and tumors in the oral and maxillofacial region in making a differential diagnosis of an expansile process of the jaws. It discusses the clinical and radiographic features of odontogenic cysts and tumors. The author recommends that the odontogenic myxomas should be treated with 1.0 cm bony linear margins resectioning.
