Abstract

Chapter 9 of the book "A History of AIDS Social Work in Hospitals: A Daring Response to an Epidemic" is presented. It discusses a number of factors that led to the foundation of the annual National Conference on Social Work and HIV/AIDS in the U.S. It provides information on key events in the years two and three of the conference. It provides an overview of the developments that have been important and that have contributed to the continuance of the conference.
