A thermodynamic theory for ideally mixed rodlike micelles is used to predict the size distribution and mean aggregation number of mixed dihexanoylphosphatidyl-choline (diC6PC) and diheptanoyl-phosphatidylcholine (diC7PC) micelles. The mixed diC6PC and diC7PC micelles are also studied by small-angle neutron scattering. The measured neutron scattering spectra are analyzed to give the size distribution and mean aggregation number of the mixed micelles by using indirect transform method. The experimentally determined mean aggregation number of the mixed micelles is in general in good agreement with that predicted by the thermodynamic theory. The addition of small amounts of diC6PC to a 10 mM diC7PC solution is found to make the micelles become significantly smaller and the addition of small amounts of diC7PC to a 10 mM diC6PC solution is found to make the micelles grow slightly larger. This paper presents the general solutions of antiplane electro-mechanical field solutions for a piezoelectric finite wedge subjected to a pair of concentrated forces and free charges as shown in Fig.1. The boundary conditions on the circular segment are considered as fixed and grounded. Employing the finite Mellin transform method, the stress and electrical displacement at all fields of piezoelectric finite wedge are derived analytically. In addition, the singularity orders and intensity factors of stress and electrical displacement can also be obtained too. These parameters can be applied to examine the fracture behavior of the wedge structure. After being reduced to the problem of an antiplane edge crack or an infinite wedge in a piezoelectric medium, the results compare well with those of previous studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
