Abstract

The article presents several cases of angioplasty and stenting procedures of the extracranial vessels. One of the cases is about a 68-year-old man who was presented with a posterior circulation ischemic event. He underwent internal carotid artery (ICA) stent placement for better perfusion of the posterior circulation. The other cases include a 63-year-old male with high-grade stenosis of the right ICA and occlusion of the left ICA.

Abstract

The article presents several case studies involving complications of endovascular procedures and other cases. It cites the case of a 45-year-old female who was presented with two days of headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, incoherent speech and urinary incontinence. Based on angiography, she was diagnosed with thrombosis of the sagittal, transverse and sigmoid sinuses. The other cases include a 69-year-old female with Cushing syndrome of unknown etiology.

She underwent selective embolization after a vascular blush of tumor was seen following a selective external carotid artery (ECA) angiography. The other cases include a 43-year-old female with four months of progressive headache and a 41-year-old female with tumor embolization prior to scheduled resection.

Abstract

The article presents several cases involving the treatment of epistaxis. One of the cases involved a 34-year-old male with intractable epistaxis mainly out of the left nare. It claims that epistaxis is among the most common ear, nose and throat conditions. The other cases are a 70-year-old female who experienced episodes of epistaxis with frequent hospitalizations for life-threatening hemorrhage and a 74-year-old male who was presented for embolization for treatment of acute epistaxis.
