Abstract

A chapter of the book "The Plays of Lord Byron" is presented. It highlights Byron's ambition and his apprehension of writing for the stage. Byron's paradoxical psychology is examined as prompted by his utterance about not writing at all if he would not be able to reform the stage. Byron's thought and behavior are explained as complementary whose roots can be traced back from his childhood.
