The implementation of the PCPPCS into value adding is a current strategy to align production processes to the forces of market. Globalisation, shallow diversification of manufacturing and cost-effectiveness enforce the harmonisation of sales-order flows with all relevant value- adding processes. This paper focuses on technical and organisational aspects of turbulence-drivers, which disrupt a planned sequence of production orders (po's) and thus, increase production costs. When implementing the PCPPCS into running processes of series and mass production, it is essential to localise and analyse the instabilities of the whole process. Therefore we describe our approach of process- segmentation and FMEA of relevant process-steps. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
