Chapter 13 of the book "Sociolegal Control of Homosexuality," is presented. It examines the legal regulation of homosexuality in Great Britain. The provisions of the Sexual Offences Act 1967 were also taken into account together with the formal protection of citizens against discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation.

The second part of the chapter discusses the main strands of the arguments for and against deregulation of financial reporting by smaller companies, together with a review of previous research. This is followed by a description of the methodology used for the present study, and a discussion of the research findings. The final section draws conclusions and offers suggestions for further research.

This article deals with diversity issues in non-U.S. military forces. As militaries around the world downsize and streamline their operations, several have decided to move from a conscript-based military to full professionalism. This move reinforces the need to meet equal-opportunity objectives. There are several reasons for this. It can improve access to a wider recruitment pool as the armed services compete with civilian companies for scarce labor both in terms of quantity and quality. In Great Britain, for example, one can point to the fact that ethnic minorities, although comprising about 6 percent of the national population, constitute over 19 percent of the 16-24 age group in the military recruitment pool.

Drawing from a recent ethnographic research on Happiness carried throughout 8 European countries in the 2003/4, Future Concept Lab will illustrate how the use of interactive digital material can be relevant to analyse qualitative and quantitative data in a participatory and creative manner. Our speech will focus on the additional value of presenting data in an interactive and flexible way by using a two-ways insight matrix and a word mapping statistical technique called Semiometrie. In order to exemplify their usage, we will draw on a recent research “The Material Culture of Happiness” based on the collection and the analysis of photo diaries coming from Spain, France, England, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Finland and Russia.
