This article focuses on the hispanic writings of the renowned sociologist of the United States, C. Wright Mills regarding his study in social psychology. Wright Mills achieved fame for his radical, or "critical," sociology as a result of his well-known trilogy on power and social stratification, his polemical tract on the politics of Social Psychology responsibility, and his classic volume on the sociological imagination . However, his "Hispanic writings" have been largely ignored by the sociological community. The corpus of Mills's Hispanic writings consists of four major items which include "The Sailor, Sex Market, and Mexican," a magazine article on Mexican Americans and the Zoot-Suit Riots in Los Angeles; The Puerto Rican Journey: New York's Newest Migrants, a research study on the Puerto Rican migration to New York City during the 1940s etc. The sociologists also ignored Mill's ground-breaking book on social psychology, "Character and Social Structure: The Psychology of Social Institutions." The author states that since he intends to conduct a social-psychological analysis of Mills and his Hispanic writings.
