Delinquent behaviour by young people is a long-standing subject of public and governmental concern. Although 'delinquency' is hard to define, widespread understanding of its core characteristics, main causes, and effects exists. The concept of 'social exclusion' is new and is not widely understood, but the problems it refers to are extensive. This paper provides an overview of both delinquency and social exclusion, and discusses how they relate to one another. The paper focuses on neighbourhoods in order to explain how delinquency can both follow from and add to social exclusion at the local level. Drawing on the author's research in Britain and America, the paper details how attending to the local links between delinquency and social exclusion can be central to addressing both problems. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are normally required to attain dynamic success targets by improvement of their processes, products and services. One way to achieve this could be through quality initiatives and innovation in processes, products and services. In a knowledge based economy, use of quality measures alone may not bring competitive advantage due to severe resource constraints. Therefore, innovation may become a key parameter to define the strategic objectives. This paper focuses on investigating quality initiatives implemented by SMEs and its innovation. Data was collected on these parameters from 38 SMEs and eight measures of innovation were investigated for their importance and use. Pakistani, British and Portuguese SMEs were compared. This article presents information about various key terms and concepts beginning with the letter "g," related to popular music. The "garage" bands of the late 1960s, so called as exponents made the music in the garage or basement, were especially prominent in the United States, where they responded to the British invasion of the American market. A media studies term initially applied to describe how telegraph wire editors selected items for inclusion in local papers, "gatekeepers" became an established approach to analysing the way in which media workers select, reject, and reformulate material for broadcast or publication. "Gender" is the cultural differentiation of females from males, a signifying distinction, compared to sexual differentiation, which is a biological/physical difference. "Genre" can be basically defined as a category or type. A key component of textual analysis, genre is widely used to analyse popular culture texts, most notably in their filmic and popular literary forms.
