Considering the implementation of public policy within the framework of Act 1361 of 2009 and Act 1857 of 2017, that regulate comprehensive family care, against the development plans of the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Lorica and Cereté, Córdoba (2016-2019), and using a socio-legal approach, this paper aims to analyze how these plans understood the concept of family in order to safeguard the so-called core of society. The findings indicate that the comprehensive care of the family, as considered in the Colombian Constitution, the law and the jurisprudence, is far from being implemented in the public policy of the aforementioned places. Consequently, upon analyzing the development plans in the light of a broad concept of family and the comprehensive care required by the referred laws, the authors concluded that it is necessary for the territorial public policy to be decentralized and to start advancing from the periphery inwards, while considering differences in culture, uses and practices, as well as political, economic and social features of the family.

Para estimar los parámetros de crecimiento y mortalidad del moncholo (Hoplias malabaricus Bloch 1794)en la Ciénaga Grande de Lorica (CGL) se aplicó el análisis de frecuencia de tallas (ELEFAN) a la informacióncolectada entre enero y diciembre 2000. Los valores estimados para L¥, K y t0 fueron 48.1 (± 0.09) cm.,0.29 (+ 0.01) año-1 y -0.50 años, respectivamente, con temperatura media anual de 28 °C y límites deconfianza del 95%. Las estimaciones para L¥ y K indican que es un pez de longevidad y tasa de crecimientomedios. La mortalidad total (Z) fue estimada en 2.31 (± 0.23) año-1, la mortalidad natural (M) en 0.70año–1, la mortalidad por captura (F) se calculó en 1.61 año –1, y la tasa de explotación (E=F/Z) 0.70. Latalla de su primera captura (Lc) es de 29.4 cm., LT, y su talla media de captura (TMC) es de 30.0 cm., LT.Como la especie no presenta migración reproductiva, permanece en la CGL, siendo capturada en laausencia de las especies reofílicas tradicionalmente capturadas, la presión pesquera aumenta sobre ella,alcanzando niveles de sobrepesca. La construcción y operación de la hidroeléctrica Urrá (HU) y lacontaminación orgánica e inorgánica durante el año 2000 afectaron la dinámica poblacional de los pecesde la Cuenca del río Sinú, por lo que es necesario que se agilice el ordenamiento de su pesquería en elmediano plazo considerando que el moncholo es la tercera especie en la composición de la captura en lacuenca.

Objective. The feeding habits of Cocobolo (Andinoacara pulcher) in the cienaga Grande de Lorica, Sinu river basin, were studied. Materials and methods. The stomach content was analyzed using the Proportion of empty stomachs, Grade of digestion, Frequency of occurrence, numerical Frequency, Gravimetry, relative importance Index (RII) and the gut length-total length relationship. Results. 39.8% of stomachs were empty, 47.1% of preys were fresh and five food groups were identified. Vegetable remains was the most frequent group (63.8%) and the prey with greatest composition in weight (33.5%), while Rest of fishes was the most abundant group (34.7%). It was observed that in low and rising waters, fishes was the most consumed prey, while that in high and falling waters the most consumed prey was vegetable remains. Vegetable remains, detritus and fishes were food groups of secondary relative importance, while Insects and Others were circumstantial or incidental groups. Conclusions. The results achieved indicate that Cocobolo is a fish with omnivores feeding habits with a preference for fishes and vegetable remains.

Objective. Growth and mortality parameters of Cachana Cynopotamus atratoensis Eigenmann, 1907 in the cienaga Grande de Lorica, Sinu river basin, Colombia, were estimated. Materials and methods. The length frequency analysis to the information collected between January 2001 to December 2002, was applied. Results. The estimated values for asymptotic length, growth rate and age at zero length were 43.4 (±0.52) cm of total length, 0.29 (±0.02) year-1 and -0.53 years, respectively. Total mortality was estimated at 0.97 year-1, natural mortality at 0.72 year-1, fishing mortality at 0.25, the average catch size was 24.8 cm total length, being fully recruited to the fishery with 16.6 cm total length, with low exploitation rate (E: 0.26). Conclusions. Cachana is a fish with medium longevity and growth rate with low exploitation rate, suggesting that there is still no overfishing on the species. However, as it is an very important fish in the food security of fishermen and their families, its necessary to increase the basic biology research pointing to the management and conservation of the species in the cienaga and the Sinu basin.

The article treats of the most famous sort of Irish protective prayer, which name is lorica (breastplate). The author talks over this kind of prayer and inserts its translation. Next, on the base of article of O'Donoghue, the author analyzes every stanza of S. Patrick's lorica. First and eight stanza tells about Trinity and God, in the second and second the power of Christ is invoked in all its main manifestations: his birth, his baptism, his death and burial, his resurrection and his coming in judgment. The third stanza descends from the sphere of deity to the world of the first creation - angels. The fourth stanza dips down from heavenly host to the visible cosmos in its spheres and elements: sun, moon, and firmament, and the four elements: fire, air, water and earth. In the fifth stanza we are back at the source of creation, a natural progression from the invocation of created nature in the fourth stanza. The sixth stanza tells about spells cast by women and blacksmiths and druids.

Se estudió la biología reproductiva del Cocobolo (Andinoacara pulcher Musilová et al. 2009) en la Ciénaga Grande de Lorica, cuenca del río Sinú (Córdoba), Colombia. Se analizaron individuos colectados entre enero y diciembre 2005, con tallas entre 7,2-14,5 cm de longitud total (LT) y peso total (WT) entre 9,1-89,1 g. Las gónadas se conservaron en solución Gilson, se utilizó la escala de Vazzoler y se estimó proporción sexual, índices de madurez sexual, época de desove, talla media de madurez sexual, diámetro de ovocitos y fecundidad. Se estudiaron 169 hembras, 125 machos y 4 indiferenciados, con proporción sexual hembra: macho de 1,4:1, diferente a lo esperado. La talla media de madurez fue estimada en 9,5 cm LT para sexos combinados, el diámetro de los ovocitos osciló entre 1.352 y 1.605 m y la fecundidad fue estimada en 954 ovocitos, con ecuación de mejor ajuste F = 0,185 LT3,67, n = 14, r = 0,70. El Cocobolo es un pez con desoves parciales, con época o periodo de reproducción prolongada que se extiende durante el año, con ovocitos pequeños y fecundidad media.The reproductive biology of Cocobolo (Andinoacara pulcher Musilová et al. 2009) in the Ciénaga Grande de Lorica, Sinú river basin (Córdoba) Colombia, was evaluated. Individuals collected between January and December 2005 were analized, with total length (TL) ranging between 7.2-14.5 cm and total weight (WT) between 9.1-89.1 g. The gonads were placed in Gilson solution, the Vazzoler scale was applied and sexual proportions, a sexual maturity index, spawning season, the length at first maturity, ovocite diameter, and fecundity were estimated. 169 females, 125 males, and 4 undifferentiated individuals were studied, with sexual proportions of 1.4:1 female: male documented, differing from expected. The length at first maturity was estimated at 9.5 cm TL for both sexes; ovocite diameter ranged between 1.352 and 1.605 m and fecundity was estimated in 954 ovocites, with a best-fit equation F = 0.185 LT3,67, n = 14, r = 0.70. The Cocobolo is a fish with partial spawning, with a prolonged spawning season that extends throughout the year, with small oocytes and medium fecundity.

Este es un estudio cualitativo enmarcado en la Investigación Acción Participación (IAP) que constituye una acción autorreflexiva de las prácticas educativas (Kemmis &Taggart, 1988). El objetivo central es determinar cómo influyen las concepciones de creatividad que poseen los maestros de preescolar de la Institución Educativa Instituto Técnico Agrícola (Lorica), en sus prácticas pedagógicas. En consonancia con este objetivo, el estudio se divide en tres grandes etapas: una inicial, de socialización y de encuentro con cada grupo; una segunda fase, de diagnóstico, que se centró en el desarrollo de observaciones y entrevistas. Y una última etapa, de sistematización, acción y proyección. En este artículo se presentan resultados parciales de lo que fue la etapa de diagnóstico. La entrevista hecha a los docentes fue sistematizada y analizada de acuerdo con tópicos asociados con las nociones de creatividad y el papel de ésta en la formación inicial de los niños.

Growth and mortalityparameters of Mojarra amarilla in the cienaga Grande de Lorica were estimated, The estimations (29,7 cm LT, (0,26 año-1) suggest that species is a fish with medium longevity and growth coefficient. Total mortality, natural mortality and fishing mortality were 1,09, 0,74 y 0,25 año–1, respectively. If in the past decade, in the Yellow Mojarra fishery 41.4% of individuals were caught below the length at first maturity, in this decade, the percentage increased to 87%, suggesting that the resource fishery shows growth and recruitment overfishing.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue estimar la prevalencia de Brucella abortus en búfalos de agua domésticos (Bubalus bubalis), pertenecientes a tres explotaciones bufaleras, del municipio de Lorica, en el departamento de Córdoba. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, que incluyó 133 búfalos, de las cuales, 123 fueron hembras y diez, machos, de la raza Murrah y con edades entre los 12 y 96 meses. Las técnicas empleadas para el diagnóstico serológico fueron la técnica de aglutinación rápida en placa Rosa de Bengala y la técnica de ELISA Competitiva, como prueba confirmatoria. Este es el primer estudio efectuado en este municipio, que permitió estimar una seroprevalencia a B. abortus del 12% (16/133), por la prueba de Rosa de Bengala; estos reactores seropositivos fueron confirmados mediante la prueba de ELISA competitiva, siendo la seroprevalencia del 3% (4/16). Estas cifras de prevalencia, aunque son bajas, demuestran que existe la necesidad de mantener una vigilancia activa de casos, como una medida de control de la brucelosis en esta especie susceptible y que se han convertido en una población importante en la ganadería de esta región del país.The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of Brucella abortus in buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) from three farms in the town of Lorica in the department of Cordoba. We performed a descriptive cross-sectional study that included 133 buffaloes (123 females and 10 males) of the Murrah breed, age between 12 and 96 months. Techniques used for the serological diagnosis were rapid agglutination in plate using antigen stained with Rose Bengal and competitive ELISA technique to confirm the positive results by the rapid slide agglutination test. The seroprevalence to B. abortus by the Rose Bengal test was 12% (16/133), these positive reactors were confirmed by competitive ELISA and a prevalence of 3% (4/16) was established. This is the first survey in the area of Lorica in the department of Córdoba which has established a seroprevalence to B. abortus from 3% in water buffalo population of livestock in this region of the country. These results indicate that the prevalence of the infection is low and that measures to control brucellosis as well as to maintain an active surveillance of cases in this species are necessary.

Se estudiaron los hábitos alimentarios de Cocobolo (Andinoacara pulcher) en la ciénaga Grande de Lorica, cuenca del río Sinú, Colombia. Materiales y Métodos. El contenido estomacal se evaluó con el Coeficiente de vacuidad, Grado de llenado, Grado de digestión, Frecuencia de ocurrencia, Frecuencia numérica, Gravimetría, Índice de importancia relativa y la relación longitud intestinal- longitud total. Resultados. El 39.8% de los estómagos se encontró vacío, el 47.1% de las presas en estado fresco y se identificaron cinco grupos alimentarios. Material vegetal fue el grupo más frecuente (63.8%) y con mayor composición por peso (33.5%), mientras que Restos de peces fue el más abundante (34.7%). Se observó que en aguas bajas y en aguas ascendentes, peces fue la presa más consumida, mientras que en aguas altas y aguas descendentes, fue material vegetal. Material vegetal, detritos y restos de peces fueron grupos alimentarios de importancia relativa secundaria, mientras que insectos y otros fueron circunstanciales o incidentales. Conclusiones. Los resultados alcanzados indican que Cocobolo es un pez de hábitos alimentarios omnívoros con preferencia por peces y material vegetal.

Objective. To determine the presence of Contracaecum nematodes in the fish Hoplias malabaricus (moncholo). Materials and methods. A total of 45 fish, captured between July. 2006 and May, 2007 were sampled. In the laboratory, biometric analysis was done on each fish; the fish was gutted and examined for nematodes. Skeletal musculature was extracted, dissected in thin layers and observed with ultraviolet light to evaluate the presence of nematodes. Nematodes were counted, isolated and fixed in formaldehyde. Nematodes tissues were cleared in order to visualize their internal structures, and morphometric keys were used to confirm their identification. Results. Nematodes were found only in viscera and identified as Contracaecum spp in the third larval state (L3). Prevalence was 100% with light (88.9%) and moderate (11.1%) infestation. The condition factor value was 0.036±0.04, the hepatosomatic, branchiasomatic and somatic spleen indices were 1.65±0.37, 3.40±0.43, 0.09±0.04, respectively. There was no significant relationship between these indices and the parasite index (r0.05). Conclusions. Moncholo sampled from Ciénaga Grande de Lorica were infected with Contracaecum spp. The condition factor index and the somatic organ indices were not significant predictors of infection.

En el presente artículo se exponen, tras una profunda revisión de las evidencias y fuentes disponibles, toda una serie de argumentos que ponen de manifiesto la inadecuación de la coraza de placas articuladas de época romana, más conocida como lorica segmentata, a los teatros de operaciones de las fronteras orientales. A estos argumentos se une la ausencia casi total (con una sola excepción) de hallazgos de segmentata en estas provincias del Este mediterráneo, lo que, si bien no es un argumento decisivo, supone un hándicap importante de aquellas teorías que defienden un empleo masivo de este tipo de coraza a lo largo y ancho de todo el Imperio.
