- Abstract
This study had the objective to evaluate the efficiency of potassium phosphite applications (PHOS UP PK 28- 26®) in different dosages and plant growth stages to control of Phaeosphaeria maydis, Cercospora zeae-maydis e Exserohilum turcicum in corn crop in a short season, as well as productivity of hybrids. Two experiments with phosphite, besides control treatments with no application and other with fungicide epoxiconazol + piraclostrobin (Opera®), were carried out to agricultural seasons through, 2008-2010, in the same place. The experimental design was in complete blocks, with random treatment on four repetitions. It was evaluated the disease severity with a diagrammatic scale and productivity. It was observed different performance according to cultivar and seasons evaluated. However, phosphite reduced the disease severity to corn leaves. The treatment 2.0 L ha-1 to stages V6 and V10 presented an intermediate control between fungicide and control with no application, decreasing the severity of evaluated diseases. The treatments with fungicide incresead the productivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
