Abstract Though plenty of research has been conducted to improve the low intrinsic electronic conductivity of NASICON‐structured NaTi2(PO4)3 (NTP), realizing sodium‐ion batteries with high areal/volumetric capacity still remains a formidable challenge. Herein, a multiscale design from anode material to electrode structure is proposed to obtain a gadolinium‐ion‐doped and carbon‐coated NTP composite electrode (NTP‐Gd‐C), in which gadolinium ion doping, oxygen vacancy, optimized structure, N‐doped carbon coating, and bridging on the three‐dimensional network are simultaneously achieved. In the whole electrode, the excellent hierarchical electronic/ionic conductivity and structural stability are simultaneously improved via the synergistic optimization of NTP‐Gd‐C. As a result, excellent electrochemical performances of NTP‐Gd‐C electrode with a high areal/volumetric capacity of 1.0 mAh cm−2/142.8 mAh cm−3, high rate capability (58.3 mAh g−1 at 200 C), long cycle life (ultralow capacity fading of 0.004% per cycle under 10,000 cycles), and wide‐temperature electrochemical performances (97.0 mAh g−1 at 2 C under −20°C) are achieved. Moreover, the NTP‐Gd‐C//Na3V2(PO4)3/C full cell also delivers an excellent rate capacity of 42.0 mAh g−1 at 200 C and long‐term high‐capacity retention of 66.2% after 4000 cycles at 20 C.

IntroductionCurrent social issues such as bullying, online violence, and local conflicts are all prominent topics in the field of psychology and linked to dehumanization. However, research on dehumanization from a non-Western background has been rare. As a key factor influencing individual behavior, attachment has not been sufficiently integrated into studies on dehumanization. Therefore, this study provides empirical evidence to explore the relationship between adult attachment (both trait and state) and dehumanization. The sample consisted of college students from China.MethodsIn Study 1 (N = 705) latent profile analysis was employed to exploring the potential categories of trait adult attachment in China, and to investigate how these categories impact dehumanization. Study 2 (N = 281) focused on activating secure attachment and examined the effects of three state attachment types, security, avoidance and anxiety, on dehumanization.ResultsStudy 1 identified four types of adult attachment: preoccupied, secure, fearful, and dismissing, and revealed that these different attachment types have varying impacts on dehumanization. Study 2 showed that both security and avoidance predict dehumanization.DiscussionThis research established a link between adult attachment and dehumanization, offering new insights into the psychological mechanisms underlying dehumanization and suggesting novel strategies for its prevention and intervention.

Abstract ‘Danmu’ (i.e., comments that scroll across online videos), has become popular on several Asian online video platforms. Two studies were conducted to investigate the relationships between Danmu preference, problematic online video watching, loneliness and personality. Study 1 collected self-report data on the study variables from 316 participants. Study 2 collected eye-tracking data of Danmu fixation (duration, count, and the percentages) from 87 participants who watched videos. Results show that fixation on Danmu was significantly correlated with problematic online video watching, loneliness, and neuroticism. Self-reported Danmu preference was positively associated with extraversion, openness, problematic online video watching, and loneliness. The studies indicate the potential negative effects of Danmu preference (e.g., problematic watching and loneliness) during online video watching. The study is one of the first empirical investigations of Danmu and problematic online video watching using eye-tracking software. Online video platforms could consider adding more responsible use messaging relating to Danmu in videos. Such messages may help users to develop healthier online video watching habits.

IntroductionThe association between social media use and mental health risks has been widely investigated over the past two decades with many cross-sectional studies reporting that problematic social media use (PSMU) is associated with higher mental health risk such as anxiety and depression. The present study examined the relationship between PSMU severity and mental health risks (depression, anxiety, stress, and loneliness) using a three-wave longitudinal design.MethodsA total of 685 first-year Chinese undergraduate students (Mean age = 19.12 years, SD = 0.92) completed surveys at three times points with intervals of 3 to 4 months. Results revealed that PSMU was positively correlated with all the mental health risk variables over the three time points.ResultsThe prevalence of PSMU increased over the three research waves. Cross-lagged models identified bi-directional relationships between PSMU and mental health risks, while such links were not consistent between different mental health risk variables and can change over different research intervals.DiscussionThis study indicates that PSMU and mental health risks could predict each other in a vicious loop, but the differences between specific mental health risks and the research context (e.g., different term times and experiences in university) should not be ignored. Further research attention should be paid to the prevalence of PSMU and mental health conditions among Chinese first-year undergraduates who appear to have difficulties in adapting to university life.

Based on the dynamic monitoring of the water flow in the underground open channel of Yaoqiao Coal Mine, a robot is designed that can automatically measure the sediment thickness of the open channel to solve the problem of inaccurate measurement of open channel flow caused by excessive sediment deposition in the open channel. The robot is coaxially linked by a motor, an encoder and a lead screw, and the motor rotates to drive the screw and the encoder to rotate. The extension length of the mechanical arm is calculated by the number of motor rotation recorded by the encoder and the lead screw lead, and then the measured amount of sediment deposition thickness is calculated. Through repeated measurements, it is confirmed that the measuring robot has the repeat error of less than 1 mm in the range of 500 mm, and the data transmission is stable and reliable.

The species of genus Actinidia are economically and nutritionally important fruits with remarkably high vitamin C content. Here, we assembled and characterized the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of Actinidia fulvicoma (A. fulvicoma) using Illumina paired-end sequencing data. The cp genome is 157,339 bp in length, including a large single-copy region (LSC) of 88,741 bp, a small single-copy region (SSC) of 20,512 bp, and a pair of 24,043 bp inverted repeat (IR) regions. A total of 131 genes, consisting of 85 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes, were annotated in the A. fulvicoma cp genome. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed the evolutionary position of A. fulvicoma within the genus Actinidia.

An accurate estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of the battery is of great significance for safe and efficient energy utilization of electric vehicles. Given the nonlinear dynamic system of the lithium-ion battery, the parameters of the second-order RC equivalent circuit model were calibrated and optimized using a nonlinear least squares algorithm in the Simulink parameter estimation toolbox. A comparison was made between this finite difference extended Kalman filter (FDEKF) and the standard extended Kalman filter in the SOC estimation. The results show that the model can essentially predict the dynamic voltage behavior of the lithium-ion battery, and the FDEKF algorithm can maintain good accuracy in the estimation process and has strong robustness against modeling error.
