The presented work proposes that the self-assembly of amphiphilic compounds in Xiaoqu Baijiu occurs at the distillation and condensation stage of Chinese Baijiu production for the first time. Such phenomena have similitude with the self-assembly nano-particles conducted by evaporation and condensation approaches. Hydrogen-bonding interactions prompting the formation of molecular clusters in the system. Herein, we characterized the variation of dipole moment, hydrogen bond strength, and cluster morphology in Xiaoqu Baijiu, based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and molecular dynamics simulation. The effects of major aroma substances on the self-assembly of Xiaoqu Baijiu were fully investigated, it turns out ethyl lactate had the strongest effect on resulting in self-assembled clusters. It is gradually becoming popular to use multiple cellular-connected UAVs as inspectors to fulfill automatic surveillance and monitoring. However, in actual situations, UAVs should respond to several service requests from different hotspots, whilst the requests usually present randomness in the arrival time, data amount, and the concurrency. This paper proposes a dynamic dual-UAV response policy for multi-hotspot services based on single-agent deep Q-learning, where the UAVs controlled by a ground base station can be dispatched automatically to hotspots and then send videos back. First, this issue is formulated as an optimization problem, whose goal is to maximize the number of successfully served requests with the constraints of both the UAV's energy limit and request waiting time. Second, a reward function based on service completion is designed to overcome the potential challenges posed by the delay reward. Finally, a simulation was conducted, comparing the conventional time priority algorithm and distance priority algorithm, respectively, to the proposed algorithm. The results illustrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve one more response than the others under different service densities, with the lowest failure number and appropriate average waiting time. Objective: Allergen sensitization and high rates of concomitant allergic diseases are characteristic of severe pediatric asthma. The present study was aimed to explore the mechanism of allergic asthma via bioinformatics and experiment investigation. Methods: The GSE27011 dataset contained the expression profiles of normal and pediatric asthma white blood cells was downloaded for analyzing the different expression genes and function enrichment. The allergic asthma model in infant mice was established by ovalbumin (OVA) stimulation. The cellular model was established by house dust mite (HDM)-stimulation in human bronchial epithelial cells. The absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) knockdown was achieved by intranasal lentivirus injection or cell infection. The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was collected for cell counting and ELISA assessment of cytokines. Lung tissues were collected for HE staining and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. Real-time PCR and immunoblotting were used for the determination of key gene expressions in mouse and cell models. Results: upregulation of AIM2 gene expression was observed in pediatric asthma patients based on GSE27011 and OVA-induced infant mouse allergic asthma model. AIM2 knockdown ameliorated OVA caused elevation in airway hyper-responsiveness (AHR), elevation in cell quantities (eosinophils, neutrophils, lymphocytes), and levels of cytokines (IL-4, IL-13, TNF-α, and OVA-specific IgE) in BALF. Moreover, AIM2 knockdown relieved OVA-caused histopathological alterations in mouse lungs, up-regulation of AIM2 levels, and NOD1 and receptor-interacting protein 2 (RIP2) protein levels, as well as p65 phosphorylation. In the cell model, AIM2 knockdown partially ameliorated HDM-induced epithelial dysfunctions by promoting cell viability, down-regulating inflammatory cytokines levels, and decreasing the protein levels of AIM2, NOD1, RIP2, and phosphorylated p65. Conclusion: AIM2 participates in HDM-induced epithelial dysfunctions and OVA-induced allergic asthma progression. The giant panda (GP) was the most endangered species in China, and gut microbiota plays a vital role in host health. To determine the differences of the gut microbiota among the male, female and pregnant GPs, a comparative analysis of gut microbiota in GPs was carried out by 16S rRNA and ITS high-throughput sequencing. In 16S rRNA sequencing, 435 OTUs, 17 phyla and 182 genera were totally detected. Firmicutes (53.6%) was the predominant phylum followed by Proteobacteria (37.8%) and Fusobacteria (7.1%). Escherichia/Shigella (35.9%) was the most prevalent genus followed by Streptococcus (25.9%) and Clostridium (11.1%). In ITS sequencing, 920 OTUs, 6 phyla and 322 genera were also detected. Ascomycota (71.3%) was the predominant phylum followed by Basidiomycota (28.4%) and Zygomycota (0.15%). Purpureocillium (4.4%) was the most prevalent genus followed by Cladosporium (2.5%) and Pezicula (2.4%). Comparative analysis indicated that the male GPs harbor a higher abundance of phylum Firmicutes than female GPs with the contribution from genus Streptococcus. Meanwhile, the female GPs harbor a higher abundance of phylum Proteobacteria than male GPs with the contribution from genus Escherichia/ Shigella. In addition, the shift in bacteria from female to pregnant GPs indicated that phylum Firmicutes increased significantly with the contribution from Clostridium in the gut, which may provide an opportunity to study possible associations with low reproduction of the GPs.

Key Clinical Message: An encephalocele is a congenital malformation characterized by protrusion of the intracranial contents through a cranial defect. We report that a fetus of a pregnant mother who had two consecutive pregnancies with ultrasound‐detected encephalocele carried compound heterozygous variants in B3GALNT2 NM_152490.5:c.[1423C > T (p.Gln475Ter)]; [261‐2A > G] of maternal and paternal origins, respectively, as confirmed by exome sequencing followed by Sanger sequencing validation. The present case implies that mutations in B3GALNT2, a well‐known dystroglycanopathy causative gene, may result in a phenotype of neural tube defect, providing new insights into the clinical spectrum of B3GALNT2‐related disorders. Solid-state distillation is a distinctive process for extracting the baijiu aroma compounds that determine the flavor character of baijiu. In this study, the changes in various chemical properties of the aroma compounds in three classical Jiangxiangxing baijiu fermented grain distillation processes were analyzed. The changes in the aroma compounds in the instantaneous distillates were quantified and correlation analyzes were conducted. The results showed that the effect of the aroma compounds was greater than the differences between the fermented grains. Eleven representative aroma compounds were selected to develop the kinetic models describing two opposing changes. For the regulation of the Jiangxiangxing baijiu aroma compounds, their recovery rates were calculated using a kinetic model. A comprehensive comparison of the recovery rates of the characteristic aroma and other aroma compounds at different cut-off values revealed that the optimum recovery rate of the characteristic aroma of Jiangxiangxing baijiu 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine was 14.53% at cut-off values of 3.9 and 19.8 min. We examine the effect of fund managers' voting on the optimistic bias of sell-side analysts by exploiting the exogenous event of New Fortune Magazine suspending the Sixteenth Star Analyst Contest. Our results show that the disappearance of voting makes analysts face less pressure from funds, which leads to less optimistic bias and lower error in earnings forecasts. Moreover, the effect is more pronounced in the samples of analysts who work in small brokerages and have less star experience. Further, we find that analysts reduce listed firm joint site visits with small fund managers but still conduct single site visits, suggesting analysts are diligent but not catering to small fund managers anymore. In addition, we find the opposite result as the effect of the cancelation reverses. In general, our findings indicate that the voting right of the star analyst ranking has become a self-interest tool for fund managers, driving analysts to provide biased reports and soft services, becoming another source of pressure for analysts. The gut microbiomes of the host are large and complex communities, which helps to maintain homeostasis, improves digestive efficiency, and promotes the development of the immune system. The small mammals distributed in Sichuan Province are the most popular species for biodiversity research in Southwest China. However, the effects of different diets on the structure and function of the gut microbial community of these small mammals are poorly understood. In this study, whole‐metagenome shotgun sequencing has been used to analyze the composition and functional structures of the gut microbiota of seven small mammals in Laojunshan National Nature Reserve, Sichuan Province, China. Taxonomic classification revealed that the most abundant phyla in the gut of seven small mammals were Bacteroides, Proteobacteria, and Firmicutes. Moreover, Hafnia, Lactobacillus, and Yersinia were the most abundant genus in the gut microbiomes of these seven species. At the functional level, we annotated a series of KEGG functional pathways, six Cazy categories, and 46,163 AROs in the gut microbiomes of the seven species. Comparative analysis found that the difference in the gut microbiomes between the Soricidea and Muridae concentrated on the increase in the F/B (Firmicutes/Bacteroides) ratio in the Soricidea group, probably driven by the high‐fat and ‐calorie digestive requirements due to their insectivorous diet. The comparative functional profiling revealed that functions related to metabolism and carbohydrates were significantly more abundant in Muridae group, which may be attributed to their high carbohydrate digestion requirements caused by their herbivorous diet. These data suggested that different diets in the host may play an important role in shaping the gut microbiota, and lay the foundation for teasing apart the influences of heritable and environmental factors on the evolution of gut microbial communities. In this letter, we consider a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) dual-functional radar and communication (DFRC) system, where a co-designed waveform is optimized for dual purposes of detecting multiple targets and serving several single-antenna users. In particular, two novel waveform design optimization problems based on constructive interference (CI) are proposed, where a constraint of waveform similarity error (WSE) and a joint radar-communication objective function are imposed under a Pareto optimization framework, by taking into account different transmit power constraints. To tackle the proposed optimization problems, we propose specifically tailored convex optimization techniques by using manifold algorithms. Numerical results show that the CI-based methods outperform the existing least-squares (LS) based methods, in terms of the symbol error rate (SER), without the need of knowing the exact constellation power. Future Internet of Things (IoT) has high demand for energy-saving communications, especially in remote areas and smart cities. To meet this demand, we propose novel unmanned aerial vehicle-assisted backscatter communications, where a UAV first collects data from multiple terrestrial backscattering tags via time-division multiple access and then flies into the coverage region of a terrestrial base station to upload its collected data to its associated base station. To determine the optimal UAV data collection location, we first analyze the system average outage probability and then optimize the energy efficiency with the optimal backscattering location through the Golden Section method under UAV energy constraint. Our analytical and simulation results illustrate that there is a tradeoff between the UAV data collection location and the outage probability, and the optimal UAV data collection location to achieve maximum energy efficiency needs to be closer to the tags for lower UAV transmit power. To obtain full details of gut microbiota, including bacteria, fungi, bacteriophages, and helminths, in giant pandas (GPs), we created a comprehensive microbial genome database and used metagenomic sequences to align against the database. We delineated a detailed and different gut microbiota structures of GPs. A total of 680 species of bacteria, 198 fungi, 185 bacteriophages, and 45 helminths were found. Compared with 16S rRNA sequencing, the dominant bacterium phyla not only included Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, and Actinobacteria but also Cyanobacteria and other eight phyla. Aside from Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, and Glomeromycota, Mucoromycota, and Microsporidia were the dominant fungi phyla. The bacteriophages were predominantly dsDNA Myoviridae, Siphoviridae, Podoviridae, ssDNA Inoviridae, and Microviridae. For helminths, phylum Nematoda was the dominant. In addition to previously described parasites, another 44 species of helminths were found in GPs. Also, differences in abundance of microbiota were found between the captive, semiwild, and wild GPs. A total of 1,739 genes encoding cellulase, β-glucosidase, and cellulose β-1,4-cellobiosidase were responsible for the metabolism of cellulose, and 128,707 putative glycoside hydrolase genes were found in bacteria/fungi. Taken together, the results indicated not only bacteria but also fungi, bacteriophages, and helminths were diverse in gut of giant pandas, which provided basis for the further identification of role of gut microbiota. This study proposed the evolution of self-assembled amphiphilic colloidal particles in Strong-Flavor (SF) Baijiu based on Ostwald ripening for the first time. The evolution process occurs in two stages: disordered amphiphilic molecules self-assemble into small colloidal particles and subsequently undergo Oswald ripening to form larger hydrophobic particles. Microscopic observations revealed the average size of oil-like spherical colloidal particles in Baijiu increased from 1.86 μm to 2.96 μm while the number of particles decreased by 39.50% during the 16-year cellaring process of SF Baijiu, consistent with the particle size trend observed via laser scattering. During fusion process, the charge-to-mass ratio of positively charged colloidal particles decreased, leading ζ-potential decreased from 23.7 mV to 4.66 mV within 16 years of storage. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy approach tracked the unidirectional variation in the dielectric constant during evolution of SF Baijiu, reflecting the gradual expansion of colloidal particles, which aligns with the evolution trend observed in molecular dynamics simulations. By integrating direct microscopic observations of amphiphilic colloidal particles with electrochemical techniques, the evolution of Baijiu samples is capable to be evaluated in-situ, laying the foundation for intelligent Baijiu aging monitoring technology. This study aims to demonstrate the antibiotic resistance and its association with disinfectant and heavy metal resistance in 152 Salmonella isolates recovered from retail foods of animal origins. Susceptibility testing demonstrated that 92.8% isolates were resistant to at least one antibiotic, and the resistance was highest to oxytetracycline (80.9%), followed by trimethoprim (64.5%), amoxicillin (28.9%), ampicillin (28.3%), levofloxacin (21.7%), ciprofloxacin (16.4%), and gentamicin (10.5%), respectively. The bla TEM and tet A genes (44.7%) were commonly present. The qacF and qacE Δ 1 genes were detected in 18.4% and 8.6% of all isolates. The Cu-resistance genes pco R, pco C, and pco A were the most prevalent (20.4–40.8%), followed by Hg-resistance gene mer A (17.8%) and As-resistance genes ars B (6.6%). The antibiotic resistance was highly associated with disinfectant or certain heavy metal resistance genes. Most notably, the association among Cu-resistance genes ( pco C, pco R), disinfectant resistance genes ( qacF , qacE Δ 1 ), and tetracycline and sulfonamide resistance genes ( tet , sul ) was significant ( p  < 0.05). Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis revealed that Salmonella isolates was associated with supermarkets indicating the possibility of crosscontamination in farms or processing environment. This study indicated that retail meats may be a reservoir for the dissemination of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella and using disinfectants for decontamination or metals in livestock may provide a pressure for coselecting strains with acquired resistance to other antimicrobials. Defined starter cultures, containing selected microbes could reduce the complexity of natural starter, are beneficial for controllable food fermentations. However, there are challenges in identifying key microbiota and constructing synthetic microbiota for traditional food fermentations. Here, we aimed to develop a defined starter culture for reproducible profile of flavour compounds, using Chinese Xiaoqu Baijiu fermentation as a case. We classified all microbes into 4 modules using weighted correlation network analysis. Module 3 presented significant correlations with flavour compounds (P < 0.05) and the highest gene abundance related with flavour compound production. 13 dominant species in module 3 were selected for mixed culture fermentation, and each species was individually deleted to analyse the effect on flavour compound production. Ten species, presenting significant effects (P < 0.05) on flavour compound production, were selected for developing the starter culture, including Rhizopus oryzae , Rhizopus microsporus , Saccharomyces cerevisiae , Pichia kudriavzevii , Wickerhamomyces anomalus , Lactobacillus acetotolerans , Levilactobacillus brevis , Weissella paramesenteroides , Pediococcus acidilactici , and Leuconostoc pseudomesenteroides. After optimising the structure of the starter culture, the profile similarity of flavour compounds produced by the starter culture reached 81.88% with that by the natural starter. The surface of the nickel-based superalloy GH4169 was subjected to high-current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB) treatment. The microstructural morphologies of the material were analysed by means of optical microscope (OP), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results reveal that the irradiated surface was remelted and many craters were formed. The density of craters decreased with the increment of HCPEB pulses. After 20-pulsed HCPEB irradiation, nanostructures were formed in the melted region of the surface. Furthermore, slipping bands and high density of dislocations were also formed due to the severe plastic deformation. The selective purification effect, homogenized composition, nanostructures, and dislocation slips introduced by HCPEB irradiation bring a significant improvement of corrosion resistance of GH4169 superalloy. Flavor components largely depend on microbial activity and environmental conditions during traditional fermented food production. However, the microbial and abiotic contributions to the flavor of Chinese strong-aroma Baijiu (SAB) remain poorly understood. In this study, the composition and functional profiles of the fungal and bacterial communities changed significantly after fourteen days of grain fermentation. Acetilactobacillus jinshanensis , Issatchenkia orientalis and Kazachstani humilis became the dominant species as fermentation proceeded. Pathways related to lipid, protein and secondary metabolite metabolism were enriched during the middle and later stages of grain fermentation. Ethyl caproate, hexyl caproate, and ethyl lactate were identified as the main volatile components in fermented grain. Lactobacillus species were significantly related to volatile components. Compared with fungi, bacterial diversity accounted for 96 % of the variation in volatile components coupled with temperature, acidity and reducing sugar. Light-flavor Baijiu (LFB) fermentation is a representative spontaneous mixed-culture solid-state fermentation process in which sorghum is used as the raw material. Raw materials and microorganisms are crucial to the flavor formation and quality of LFB. However, the microbial and physicochemical dynamics of different sorghum varieties during LFB fermentation, as well as their impact on flavor compounds are still largely unknown. Herein, PacBio single-molecule real-time (SMRT) sequencing and headspace solid-phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) were applied to investigate microbial community succession and volatile flavor formation in glutinous/non-glutinous sorghum-based fermented grains during LFB fermentation. Fermented grains made of glutinous sorghum Liangnuo No. 1 (GLN) had higher bacterial α-diversity and lower fungal α-diversity than those with fermented grains prepared with non-glutinous red sorghum (NRS) ( p  < 0.05). The dominant microbial species were Saccharomyces cerevisiae , Acetobacter pasteurinus , and Lactobacillus helveticus , the latter two of which were the predominant bacteria observed at the end of fermentation in GLN and NRS, respectively. Moisture content and reducing sugar had a more significant impact on the microorganisms in GLN, while amino acid nitrogen, total free amino acids, and residual starch were the main driving factors driving the microbial community in NRS. The correlation network and discriminant analysis indicated that a relatively high content of 4-vinylguaiacol showed a significant positive association with significant differential microbial species in GLN. "Green-covering and red-heart" Guanyin Tuqu (GRTQ), as a type of special fermentation starter, is characterized by the "green-covering" formed on the surface of Guanyin Tuqu (SQ) and the "red-heart" in the center of Guanyin Tuqu (CQ). However, the mechanisms that promote temporal succession in the GRTQ microbial ecology and the formation of "green-covering and red-heart" characteristics remain unclear. Herein, we correlated the temporal profiles of microbial community succession with the main environmental variables (temperature, moisture, and acidity) and spatial position (center and surface) in GRTQ throughout fermentation. According to the results of high-throughput sequencing and culture-dependent methods, the microbial communities in the CQ and SQ demonstrated functional complementarity. For instance, the bacterial richness index of the CQ was greater than that of SQ, and the fungal richness index of the SQ was greater than that of CQ at the later stage of fermentation. Furthermore, Saccharomycopsis , Saccharomyces , Aspergillus , Monascus , Lactobacillus , Bacillus , Rhodanobacter , and Chitinophaga were identified as the dominant microorganisms in the center, while the surface was represented by Saccharomycopsis , Aspergillus , Monascus , Lactobacillus , Acetobacter , and Weissella . By revealing the physiological characteristics of core microorganisms at different spatial positions of GRTQ, such as Aspergillus clavatus and Monascus purpureus , as well as their interactions with environmental factors, we elucidated the color formation mechanism behind the phenomenon of "green" outside and "red" inside. Animal gut microbiota plays an indispensable role in host adaptation to different altitude environments. At present, little is known about the mechanism of animal gut microbiota in host adaptation to high altitude environments. Here, we selected wild macaques, humans, and dogs with different levels of kinship and intimate relationships in high altitude and low altitude environments, and analyzed the response of their gut microbiota to the host diet and altitude environments. Alpha diversity analysis found that at high altitude, the gut microbiota diversity of wild macaques with more complex diet in the wild environments is much higher than that of humans and dogs with simpler diet ( p  < 0.05), and beta diversity analysis found that the UniFrac distance between humans and dogs was significantly lower than between humans and macaques ( p  < 0.05), indicating that diet strongly drive the convergence of gut microbiota among species. Meanwhile, alpha diversity analysis found that among three subjects, the gut microbiota diversity of high altitude population is higher than that of low altitude population (ACE index in three species, Shannon index in dog and macaque and Simpson index in dog, p  < 0.05), and beta diversity analysis found that the UniFrac distances among the three subjects in the high altitude environments were significantly lower than in the low altitude environments ( p  < 0.05). Additionally, core shared ASVs analysis found that among three subjects, the number of core microbiota in high altitude environments is higher than in low altitude environments, up to 5.34 times (1,105/207), and the proportion and relative abundance of the core bacteria types in each species were significantly higher in high altitude environments than in low altitude environments ( p  < 0.05). The results showed that high altitude environments played an important role in driving the convergence of gut microbiota among species. Rhesus macaque (RM, Macaca mulatta ), as an important model animal, commonly suffers from chronic diarrheal disease, challenging the breeding of RMs. Gut microbiomes play key roles in maintaining intestinal health of RMs. However, it is still unclear about more features of gut microbiome as responsible for intestinal health of RMs. In this study, we performed de novo assembly of metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) based on fecal metagenomes from chronic diarrheal RMs and asymptomatic individuals. In total of 731 non-redundant MAGs with at least 80% completeness were reconstructed in this study. More than 97% MAGs were novel genomes compared with more than 250,000 reference genomes. MAGs of Campylobacter and Helicobacteraceae from RM guts mainly carried flagella-associated virulence genes and chemotaxis-associated virulence genes, which might mediate motility and adhesion of bacteria. Comparing to MAGs of Campylobacter from humans, distributions and functions of these MAGs of Campylobacter from RMs exhibited significant differences. Most members of Bacteroidota, Spirochaetota, Helicobacteraceae, Lactobacillaceae and Anaerovibrio significantly decreased in guts of chronic diarrhea RMs. More than 92% MAGs in this study were not contained in 2,985 MAGs previously reported from other 22 non-human primates (NHPs), expanding the microbial diversity in guts of NHPs. The distributions and functions of gut microbiome were prominently influenced by host phylogeny of NHPs. Our results could help to more clearly understand about the diversity and function of RMs gut microbiome.

As a C13-norisoprenoid aroma substance, β-damascenone is a highly important aromatic compound and an active constituent. The purpose of this study was to investigate the change law of β-damascenone during the light-flavor Baijiu brewing process, and screen the indigenous microbial strains that produce this compound and optimize fermentation parameters for improving β-damascenone production using a statistical approach. In this project, Wickerhamomyces anomalus YWB-1 exhibited the highest producing activity of β-damascenone. Fermentation conditions were optimized for β-damascenone production using a one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) approach. A Plackett-Burman design was subsequently adopted to assess the effects of initial pH, incubation temperature, inoculum size, fermentation period, and original Brix degree. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the correlation coefficient ( R 2 ) of the executive model was 0.9795, and this value was significant ( p < 0.05). Three significant variables were optimized at three different coded levels using a Box-Behnken design (BBD) of response surface methodology (RSM). Here, 7.25 μg/L β-damascenone was obtained under the following optimum conditions: initial pH of 3.31, original Brix degree of 10.53%, and fermentation period of 52.13 h. The yield was increased 3.02-fold compared with that obtained under unoptimized conditions. Objectives: To examine primary care physicians' (PCPs) perception of patients' trust and associated factors for enhancing perceived trust in rural China., Design: A cross-sectional questionnaire study., Setting: All township health centres (primary care facilities in rural areas of China) in both developed and less developed counties of Zhejiang province, China, were chosen as the study sites., Participants: A total of 849 questionnaires were distributed from December 2019 to January 2020, and 673 PCPs working in township health centres completed the questionnaires. The response rate was 79.3%., Outcome Measures: PCPs' perceived patients' trust in them, PCPs' practices to meet patients' expectations and PCPs' perceived conflicting patient and employer interests were measured by a self-designed and verified questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analysis was applied to verify the measurement model of PCPs' practices. Multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to explore the association between clinical practice characteristics, discordant patient and employer interests and perceived patient trust after controlling for social-demographic characteristics., Results: Among all participants, 572 (85.0%) PCPs often/always perceived patients' trust in their clinical competence, and over two-thirds of PCPs reported ever perceived patient worries about overprescriptions. After adjustment for social-demographic characteristics, regression model results indicated that, among PCPs' clinical practices characteristics, emotional support (OR=1.23, 95% CI=1.06 to 1.42) and accurate diagnosis and treatment (OR=1.35, 95% CI=1.17 to 1.55) were positively associated with PCPs' perceived patients' trust in their clinical competence. A strong association was found between accurate diagnosis and treatment (OR=1.20, 95% CI=1.08 to 1.34, p<0.001; OR=1.22, 95% CI=1.10 to 1.35, p<0.001), conflicting patient and employer interests (OR=1.35, 95% CI=1.12 to 1.63, p<0.01; OR=1.29, 95% CI=1.07 to 1.54, p<0.01) and PCPs' perceived patient worries about unnecessary medicine or tests, respectively., Conclusions: PCPs' emotional support to patients as well as their abilities to make accurate diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment is positively associated with PCPs' self-reported patients' trust.
