In this article, we study the form of the deviation of geodesics (tidal forces) and the Raychaudhuri equation in a Schwarzschild–Finsler–Randers (SFR) spacetime which has been investigated in previous papers. This model is obtained by considering the structure of a Lorentz tangent bundle of spacetime and, in particular, the kind of the curvatures in generalized metric spaces where there is more than one curvature tensor, such as Finsler-like spacetimes. In these cases, the concept of the Raychaudhuri equation is extended with extra terms and degrees of freedom from the dependence on internal variables such as the velocity or an anisotropic vector field. Additionally, we investigate some consequences of the weak-field limit on the spacetime under consideration and study the Newtonian limit equations which include a generalization of the Poisson equation. Properties of the out-of-phase susceptibility (opMS) of rocks and artificial specimens whose opMS is due to weak-field hysteresis, containing magnetite and titanomagnetite, were investigated and theoretical relation between degrees of the in-phase susceptibility (ipMS) and opAMS was confirmed experimentally. Pure magnetite shows virtually no field dependence of ipMS and zero opMS in fields less than 500 A m−1. In low-Ti titanomagnetite, the intensity of the ipMS variation is very low, hardly reaching 1% of the initial value. In high-Ti titanomagnetite, the intensity of ipMS variation is relatively strong reaching 50% of the initial value and that of opMS variation is even much stronger reaching multiples of the initial value. The anisotropy of ipMS (ipAMS) of artificial specimens consisting of disseminated magnetite powder in plaster of Paris is well defined, while the opAMS is virtually undetectable. In titanomagnetite-bearing volcanic and dyke rocks, the ipAMS evidently reflects the character of lava flow. The opAMS ellipsoids resemble the ipAMS ellipsoids, the degree of opAMS being significantly higher than that of ipAMS. The principal directions of ipAMS and opAMS are related closely in specimens with high-Ti titanomagnetites and only poorly in specimens with low-Ti titanomagnetites. In specimens with high-Ti titanomagnetites, there is a linear relation and very strong correlation (R2 = 0.95) between the degree of opAMS and the square of the degree of ipAMS corresponding to the theoretical relation between these degrees. The understanding of stellar structure represents the crossroads of our theories of the nuclear force and the gravitational interaction under the most extreme conditions observably accessible. It provides a powerful probe of the strong field regime of General Relativity, and opens fruitful avenues for the exploration of new gravitational physics. The latter can be captured via modified theories of gravity, which modify the Einstein–Hilbert action of General Relativity and/or some of its principles. These theories typically change the Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff equations of stellar's hydrostatic equilibrium, thus having a large impact on the astrophysical properties of the corresponding stars and opening a new window to constrain these theories with present and future observations of different types of stars. For relativistic stars, such as neutron stars, the uncertainty on the equation of state of matter at supranuclear densities intertwines with the new parameters coming from the modified gravity side, providing a whole new phenomenology for the typical predictions of stellar structure models, such as mass–radius relations, maximum masses, or moment of inertia. For non-relativistic stars, such as white, brown and red dwarfs, the weakening/strengthening of the gravitational force inside astrophysical bodies via the modified Newtonian (Poisson) equation may induce changes on the star's mass, radius, central density or luminosity, having an impact, for instance, in the Chandrasekhar's limit for white dwarfs, or in the minimum mass for stable hydrogen burning in high-mass brown dwarfs. This work aims to provide a broad overview of the main such results achieved in the recent literature for many such modified theories of gravity, by combining the results and constraints obtained from the analysis of relativistic and non-relativistic stars in different scenarios. Moreover, we will build a bridge between the efforts of the community working on different theories, formulations, types of stars, theoretical modelings, and observational aspects, highlighting some of the most promising opportunities in the field. The trajectory-based method for calculating the probabilities of transitions in the quantum system developed in our previous works and tested for atoms is applied to calculating the photoionization probability for the simplest molecule – hydrogen molecular ion. In a weak field it is established a good agreement between our photoionization cross section and the data obtained by other theoretical methods for photon energy in the range from one-photon ionization threshold up to 25 a.u. Photoionization cross section in the range 25 < ω ≤ 100 a.u. was calculated for the first time judging by the literature known to us. It is also confirmed that the trajectory method works in a wide range of the field magnitudes including superatomic values up to relativistic intensity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Theoretical studies of the processes in multielectron atoms under the exposure of strong electromagnetic fields is intensively developed subject in laser physics. Many interesting features of these processes are difficult to be reproduced by means of the existing theoretical methods. It concerns, for example, the effects of electron–electron correlations in multiple photoionization. In light of the progress in this area for weak and strong fields it may be of interest to develop a method equally efficient for a wide range of field strengths. In this paper the capability of a new trajectory-based method, which works in a wide range of field strengths and reproduces effects attributed to electron–electron correlations, is demonstrated for single- and double-photoionization in helium atom. This paper reports the growth and spectral properties of Cr 3+ :Na 2 Mg 5 (MoO 4 ) 6 crystals. The Na 2 Mg 5 (MoO 4 ) 6 crystal was grown from a flux of Na 2 Mo 2 O 7 by the top seeded solution growth method. The absorption cross-sections are 0.692 × 10 −19 cm 2 at 507 nm and 1.151 × 10 −19 cm 2 at 736 nm, respectively. The emission cross-section is 1.62 × 10 −19 cm 2 at 914 nm with FWHM of 192 nm. Based on the absorption and emission spectra, the crystal field strength Dq , the Racah parameters B and C , effective phonon energy ℏ ω and the Huang–Rhys factor S were calculated. The spectral properties of Cr 3+ :Na 2 Mg 5 (MoO 4 ) 6 crystal demonstrate a good potential for tunable laser material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A generally covariant wave equation is derived geometrically for grand unified field theory. The equation states most generally that the covariant d'Alembertian acting on the vielbein vanishes for the four fields which are thought to exist in nature: gravitation, electromagnetism, weak field and strong field. The various known field equations are derived from the wave equation when the vielbein is the eigenfunction. When the wave equation is applied to gravitation the wave equation is the eigenequation of wave mechanics corresponding to Einstein's field equation in classical mechanics, the vielbein eigenfunction playing the role of the quantized gravitational field. The three Newton laws, Newton's law of universal gravitation, and the Poisson equation are recovered in the classical and nonrelativistic, weak-field limits of the quantized gravitational field. The single particle wave-equation and Klein-Gordon equations are recovered in the relativistic, weak-field limit of the wave equation when scalar components are considered of the vielbein eigenfunction of the quantized gravitational field. The Schrödinger equation is recovered in the non-relativistec, weak-field limit of the Klein-Gordon equation). The Dirac equation is recovered in this weak-field limit of the quantized gravitational field (the nonrelativistic limit of the relativistic, quantezed gravitational field when the vielbein plays the role of the spinor. The wave and field equations of O(3) electrodynamics are recovered when the vielbein becomes the relativistic dreibein (triad) eigenfunction whose three orthonormal space indices become identified with the three complex circular indices (1), (2), (3), and whose four spacetime indices are the indices of non-Euclidean spacetime (the base manifold). This dreibein is the potential dreibein of the O(3) electromagnetic field (an electromagnetic potential four-vector for each index (1), (2), (3)). The wave equation of the parity violating weak field is recovered when the orthonormal space indices of the relativistic dreibein eigenfunction are identified with the indices of the three massive weak field bosons. The wave equation of the strong field is recovered when the orthonormal space indices of the relativistic vielbein eigenfunction become the eight indices defined by the group generators of the SU (3) group. The weak gravitational field expansion method to account for the gravitationally induced neutrino oscillation effect is critically examined, then it is shown that the splitting of the neutrino phase into a "kinematic" and a "gravitational" phase is not always possible because the relativistic factor modifies the particle interference phase splitting condition in a gravitational field.
