This purpose of this study was to construct a participative behaviour model for sports tourists. The subject of the study was marathon runners’ from the International Taroko Gorge Marathon and the reserachers’ used purposive sampling as the sampling method. A total of 446 surveys were issued, and 363 valid surveys were returned. The effective rate was 81.3%. All collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modelling. The results were as follow. Firstly, the participative behaviour model constructed in this study fitted in well in statistics. Secondly, sports tourism attraction and sports event images have a significant influence and effect on the participative motivation of sports tourists. Finally, participative motivation and participative satisfaction have significant influences and an effect on the loyalty of sports tourists. In conclusion, the sports tourism attraction and sports event image have a significant influence on the participative motivation of sports tourists and enhance the willingness to recommend and repeat participation in the sports event. Based on the above results, this study provided some practical suggestion for related sports event units and suggest directions for future research initiatives.

The parent compounds of iron-based superconductors are magnetically ordered bad metals, with superconductivity appearing near a putative magnetic quantum critical point. The presence of both Hubbard repulsion and Hund's coupling leads to rich physics in these multiorbital systems, and motivated descriptions of magnetism in terms of itinerant electrons or localized spins. The NaFe1-xCuxAs series consists of magnetically ordered bad metal (x=0), superconducting (x≈0.02) and magnetically ordered semiconducing/insulating (x≈0.5) phases, providing a platform to investigate the connection between superconductivity, magnetism and electronic correlations. Here we use x-ray absorption spectroscopy and resonant inelastic x-ray scattering to study the valence state of Fe and spin dynamics in two NaFe1-xCuxAs compounds (x=0 and 0.47). We find that magnetism in both compounds arises from Fe2+ atoms, and exhibits underdamped dispersive spin waves in their respective ordered states. The dispersion of spin excitations in NaFe0.53Cu0.47As is consistent with being quasi-one-dimensional. Compared to NaFeAs, the band top of spin waves in NaFe0.53Cu0.47As is slightly softened with significantly more spectral weight of the spin excitations. Our results indicate the spin dynamics in NaFe0.53Cu0.47As arise from localized magnetic moments and suggest the iron-based superconductors are proximate to a correlated insulating state with localized iron moments.

The search continues for nickel oxide-based materials with electronic properties similar to cuprate high-temperature superconductors1-10. The recent discovery of superconductivity in the doped infinite-layer nickelate NdNiO2 (refs. 11,12) has strengthened these efforts. Here, we use X-ray spectroscopy and density functional theory to show that the electronic structure of LaNiO2 and NdNiO2, while similar to the cuprates, includes significant distinctions. Unlike cuprates, the rare-earth spacer layer in the infinite-layer nickelate supports a weakly interacting three-dimensional 5d metallic state, which hybridizes with a quasi-two-dimensional, strongly correlated state with [Formula: see text] symmetry in the NiO2 layers. Thus, the infinite-layer nickelate can be regarded as a sibling of the rare-earth intermetallics13-15, which are well known for heavy fermion behaviour, where the NiO2 correlated layers play an analogous role to the 4f states in rare-earth heavy fermion compounds. This Kondo- or Anderson-lattice-like 'oxide-intermetallic' replaces the Mott insulator as the reference state from which superconductivity emerges upon doping.

Background: Intellectual disability (ID) is a major developmental disability. However, data on changes in the prevalence over time at the national level are limited. Method: Using data from the national disability registry, we conducted an ecological study to evaluate the time trends of ID among children in Taiwan. We calculated the prevalence of ID by age, sex and severity, from 2000 to 2011, and assessed the time trends. Results: During the study period, the overall prevalence of ID in children aged 3–17 years increased from 3.60 to 5.91 per 1000 (β = 0.22, P < 0.001, r2 = 0.97). The prevalence of mild ID (MID, intelligence quotient: 50–69) increased from 1.30 to 3.60 per 1000 (β = 0.21, P < 0.001, r2 = 0.98). However, the prevalence of severe ID (SID, intelligence quotient: <50) was relatively constant, between 2.22 and 2.38 per 1000 (β = 0.01, P = 0.076, r2 = 0.96). Boys had a higher prevalence than girls, and the average boy‐to‐girl prevalence ratio was 1.42 for MID and 1.31 for SID. The boy‐to‐girl prevalence ratios of MID and SID decreased over time (β = −0.01, P < 0.001, r2 = 0.99 for MID; β = −0.01, P < 0.001, r2 = 1.00 for SID). Conclusion: The prevalence of ID in Taiwanese children increased from 2000 to 2011 and was largely attributable to increases in MID. Stereo Visual Odometry (SVO) is a technique used to estimate the continuous position and orientation of a moving platform using a dual-camera system that captures stereo image pairs. To obtain accurate results, A SVO system must be calibrated before use. System calibration is necessary to determine the intrinsic camera parameters (ICPs) and the relative orientation parameters (ROPs) between the cameras at real scale. Compared to monocular visual odometry, a calibrated SVO system can recover the real scale of the translation vector without additional sensors.The proposed method in this study utilizes ROP adjustment for SVO. Instead of conventional bundle adjustment, this method adopts all sets of ROPs as measurements in the designed network adjustment model. Specifically, there are six sets of ROPs among time-adjacent stereo image pairs.A SVO system was designed to implement the proposed SVO method. Two experiments were conducted in outdoor and indoor test fields to evaluate the performance. Several ground check points were set up for distance and position verification. The drift ratio was also evaluated. The results demonstrate that the designed SVO system has great feasibility and accuracy for navigation applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We studied the magnetic excitations in the quasi-one-dimensional (q-1D) ladder subsystem of Sr14−xCaxCu24O41 (SCCO) using Cu L3-edge resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS). By comparing momentum-resolved RIXS spectra with high (x = 12.2) and without (x = 0) Ca content, we track the evolution of the magnetic excitations from collective two-triplon (2 T) excitations (x = 0) to weakly-dispersive gapped modes at an energy of 280 meV (x = 12.2). Density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) calculations of the RIXS response in the doped ladders suggest that the flat magnetic dispersion and damped excitation profile observed at x = 12.2 originates from enhanced hole localization. This interpretation is supported by polarization-dependent RIXS measurements, where we disentangle the spin-conserving ΔS = 0 scattering from the predominant ΔS = 1 spin-flip signal in the RIXS spectra. The results show that the low-energy weight in the ΔS = 0 channel is depleted when Sr is replaced by Ca, consistent with a reduced carrier mobility. Our results demonstrate that off-ladder impurities can affect both the low-energy magnetic excitations and superconducting correlations in the CuO4 plaquettes. Finally, our study characterizes the magnetic and charge fluctuations in the phase from which superconductivity emerges in SCCO at elevated pressures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
