Based on the geological condition of Luohe Formation sandstone aquifer above the deep working face of 4# coal in Gaojiapu Mine, Binchang Mining area, the relationship between aquifer and dynamic disaster breeding is discussed. Firstly, the formation and its setting condition of the aquifer above 4# coal seam are introduced. Based on field water inflow monitoring data, we examined the relationship between the resistance of the support and the change of water inflow. The temporal and spatial correlation between micro seismicity and water movement is analyzed and identified, which will offer significant value for the early-warning of the dynamic hazards and water inrush. We expound the dynamic and static load of confined water movement on the working face after the increase of water inrush, and point out that it is important to pay more attention to the dynamic disaster risk of the working face after the water surge.

Purpose: Autostereoscopic displays have become increasingly common, but their impact on ocular dimensions remains unknown. We sought to identify changes in the crystalline lens dimensions induced by autostereoscopic three‐dimensional (3D) viewing. Methods: Forty young adults (age: 22.6 ± 2.0 years, male/female: 15/25) were consecutively enrolled and randomly divided into two groups (3D and two‐dimensional [2D] viewing groups) to watch a 30‐min movie clip displayed in 3D or 2D mode on a tablet computer. The lens thickness (LT), diameter, curvature, decentration and tilt were measured with anterior segment optical coherence tomography under both non‐accommodating (static) and accommodating conditions. Results: In the static condition, the LT decreased by 0.03 ± 0.03 mm (p < 0.001) and the anterior radius of curvature (ARC) increased by 0.49 ± 0.59 mm (p = 0.001) post‐3D viewing. In contrast, following 2D viewing, the ARC decreased by 0.23 ± 0.25 mm (p = 0.001). Additionally, the increase in the steep ARC post‐3D viewing was greater in high‐myopic eyes than low to moderate myopic eyes (p = 0.04). When comparing the accommodative with the static (non‐accommodative) condition, for 3D viewing the lens decentration decreased (−0.03 ± 0.05 mm, p = 0.02); while for 2D viewing, the posterior curvature radius (−0.14 ± 0.20 mm, p = 0.006) and diameter (−0.13 ± 0.20 mm, p = 0.01) decreased. Conclusions: Viewing with the autostereoscopic 3D tablet could temporally decrease the thickness and curvature of the lens under non‐accommodating conditions. In this study, the microstructural evolution of a Ti-15Mo medical alloy was investigated, when the in situ cyclic tensile strain had 2% amplitude and the tension–compression cyclic deformation had 1%, 2%, and 3% amplitude. The Vickers hardness and wear resistance of the alloy were also optimized due to the grain-refining effect after cyclic deformation and annealing. The twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) was considered the main deformation mechanism of the Ti-15Mo alloy during the tensile–compressive cycle deformation with suitable strain amplitude. The {332}<113> twins and boundaries were the main contributors to the grain refinement. The optimal microstructure, hardness, and wear resistance were obtained in the alloy deformed by tension–compression cyclic strain with a 3% strain amplitude. The wear resistance of the annealed alloy in Hank's solution was excellent in contrast to the original Ti-15Mo alloy due to its reasonable microstructure and hardness. It is clear that abundant twins were formed and retained in the coarse grains of the original alloy after cyclic deformation and annealing, which provided the expected refined grains and performance. 2-Amino-4-hydroxypteridine (pterin) and its derivatives serve as photooxidants and exhibit strong fluorescence. When they interact with hydrogen acceptors such as acetate and phosphate, their fluorescences are significantly quenched in acidic conditions (pH 4.9-5.5) but are retained in basic conditions (pH 10.0-10.5). This pH-related fluorescence quenching mechanism of pterin and its derivatives are fully investigated by using density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT). Pterin and its derivatives are demonstrated to show favorable excited-state proton transfer (ESPT) abilities in acidic conditions that induce the experimentally observed fluorescence quenching. In contrast, the ESPT processes are found to be retarded due to the lack of strong hydrogen-bonding interactions in basic environments, which sustain their fluorescence. Interestingly, these ESPT processes are found to show different site specificities depending on the 6-site substituents. The introduction of electron-donating substituent activates the N1 site, making it the preferred ESPT site. By contrast, the introduction of an electron-withdrawing substituent activates the N5 site, making it the favorable ESPT site. The substitutions of different functional groups are found to affect the locations of acidic centers during the excitation and relaxation processes. This further affects the hydrogen-bonding patterns and ultimately brings site specificity to the ESPT process. La pterine et ses derives ont presente des capacites favorables de transfert de proton a l'etat excite (TPEE) en conditions acides, lesquelles induisent l'extinction de fluorescence observee experimentalement. En revanche, on observe un retard des processus de TPEE dans les milieux basiques, en raison de l'absence de liaisons hydrogene fortes dans ces conditions, lesquelles maintiennent la fluorescence. Faitinteressant, on remarque que ces processus de TPEE presentent une specificite pour differents sites selon la nature des substituants en position 6. L'ajout d'un substituant electrodonneur active le site N1, ce qui en fait le site privilegie pour le TPEE. A l'inverse, l'ajout d'un substituant electroattracteur active le site N5, le rendant ainsi le plus favorable au TPEE. Purpose: To investigate the relationship between corneal tomographic or biomechanical parameters and risk of keratoconus in very asymmetric ectasia (VAE).Methods: This retrospective case-control single-centre study included patients with VAE and normal controls. The VAE group had clinical ectasia in one eye and normal topography (VAE-NT) in the fellow eye; VAE-NT eyes were selected for analysis. The control group was selected from corneal refractive surgery candidates; the right eye was enrolled. Scheimpflug-based corneal tomography (Pentacam) and corneal biomechanical assessment (Corvis ST) were performed. Univariate and multivariable logistic regression were performed using Cox proportional hazards models to evaluate keratoconus-associated risk factors. A two-piecewise linear regression model was applied to examine the threshold effect of selected vital paragmeters on the risk of keratoconus according to a smoothing plot.Results: Threshold effect between tomographic integration and risk of keratoconus was observed. Discrepancy between the central corneal thickness and thinnest corneal thickness (discrepancy CCT vs TCT) greater than 5 μm, discrepancy between the apex corneal thickness and thinnest corneal thickness (discrepancy ACT vs TCT) greater than 3 μm, vector distance between CCT and TCT (distance CCT vs TCT) greater than 0.65 mm indicated a significant increased risk of keratoconus. Risk of keratoconus decreased when distance CCT vs TCT was less than 0.65 mm.Conclusion: Discrepancy CCT vs TCT, discrepancy ACT vs TCT, and distance CCT vs TCT can be used as indicators for risk assessment of early keratoconus. The accurate estimation of a regional ecosystem's carbon storage and the exploration of its spatial distribution and influencing factors are of great significance for ecosystem carbon sink function enhancements and management. Using the Yellow River Basin as the study area, we assessed the changes in regional terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage through geographically weighted regression modeling based on a large number of measured sample sites, explored the main influencing factors through geographic probe analysis, and predicted the carbon sequestration potentials under different scenarios from 2030 to 2050. The results showed that (1) the total carbon storage in the Yellow River Basin in 2020 was about 8.84 × 109 t. Above-ground biological carbon storage, below-ground biological carbon storage, and soil carbon storage accounted for 6.39%, 5.07%, and 89.70% of the total ecosystem carbon storage, respectively. From 2000 to 2020, the carbon storage in the basin showed a trend in decreasing and then increasing, and the carbon storage in the west was larger than in the east and larger in the south than in the north. (2) Forest ecosystem was the main contributor to the increase in carbon storage in the Yellow River Basin. Elevation, temperature, and precipitation were the main factors influencing the spatial pattern of carbon storage. (3) The ecological conservation scenario had the best carbon gain effect among the four future development scenarios, and appropriate ecological conservation policies could be formulated based on this scenario in the future to help achieve the goals of carbon sequestration and sink increase. Impervious surfaces (IS) are one of the most important components of the earth's surface, and understanding how IS have expanded is vital. However, few studies on IS or urbanization have focused on the cradle of the Chinese nation—the Yellow River Basin (YRB). In this study, the Random Forest and Temporal Consistency Check methods were employed to generate long-term maps of IS in the YRB based on Landsat imagery. To explore the dynamics and differences in IS, we developed a spatiotemporal analysis and put forward regional comparisons between different research units of the YRB. We documented the remote sensing-based ecological index (RSEI) in multiple circular zones to discuss the ecological effects of the expansion of IS. The IS extraction strategy achieved excellent performance, with an average overall accuracy of 90.93% and kappa coefficient of 0.79. The statistical results demonstrated that the spatial extent of IS areas in the YRB increased to 18,287.36 km2 in 2020 which was seven times more than that in 1986, at rates of 166 km2/a during 1986–2001, 365 km2/a during 2001–2010, and 1044 km2/a during 2011–2020. Our results indicated that the expansion and densification of IS was slow in core urban areas with high initial IS fraction (ISF), significant in the suburban or rural areas with low initial ISF, and obvious but not significant in the exurb rural or depopulated areas with an initial ISF close to 0. The multiyear RSEI indicated that environmental quality of the YRB had improved with fluctuations. The ecological effects of the impervious expansion slightly differed in urban core areas versus outside these areas. When controlling the urban boundary, more attention should be paid to the rational distribution of ecologically important land. The impact of low-molecular-weight organic acids (LMWOAs) on the sorprion--desorption of phenanthrene, used as a representative of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, was investigated with a laboratory batch technique. Experiments were conducted with three types of soil samples containing various organic components: citric, oxalic, and malic acids. The sorption of phenanthrene by soils could be well described by a linear-type model irrespective of the addition of LMWOAs. The simulated distribution constant ([K.sub.d]) and C-normalized distribution constant ([K.sub.oc]) for phenanthrene sorption decreased significantly with the addition of LMWOAs to the soils (P < 0.05). In contrast, the desorption amounts of phenanthrene were clearly enhanced by the addition of LMWOAs, and the impact of citric acid on the sorption--desorption of phenanthrene was generally more significant than those of oxalic or malic acids, probably due to their chemical structures and properties. Compared with the baseline soil samples, the desorption amounts of phenanthrene in the presence of LMWOAs were significantly decreased in soils after 60 d of cultivation (P < 0.05), whereby the level of the fractional soil organic C content [[florin].sub.oc], %) increased proportionally with the inhibition strength of phenanthrene desorption in the presence of LMWOAs. Based on these observations, we suggest that the availability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons can be enhanced with suitable types and concentrations of LMWOAs. Grazing is very common in the grassland ecosystem, and it has a significant impact on the C stocks and cycle. One of the most important drivers of soil C stocks is functional diversity. However, limited studies have attempted to explore the effects of functional diversity on soil C stocks associated with grazing disturbance. This study was carried out in Hulunbeier grassland, Inner Mongolia, and four grazing intensities (no grazing (NG), light grazing (LG), moderate grazing (MG), and heavy grazing (HG)) were identified. The plant functional traits and important soil properties under different grazing intensities were measured. Functional identity and diversity were calculated based on the measured functional traits. The impacts of functional identity and diversity on soil organic carbon stocks (SOCstocks) were analyzed using a multi-model inference (MMI) approach. Our study showed that the functional diversity effect on soil C stocks varies depending on grazing intensity. We identified that functional richness has a significant impact on SOCstocks in NG. The community weighted mean of leaf area became the best predictor of SOCstocks in LG. As grazing intensified, functional divergence best explained SOCstocks in moderate and heavy grazing sites, and their relationship was positive. Objective: To investigate the differential expression of genes and microRNAs (miRNAs) in patients with lung adenocarcinoma and the relationship between such changes and patient prognosis. Methods: We analyzed the expression levels of genes and miRNAs in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and adjacent normal tissues using The Cancer Genome Atlas database (TCGA). We analyzed the function of the differentially expressed genes and miRNAs in a co-expression network. Finally, we performed survival analysis of differential genes and miRNAs in the co-expression network using clinical data from the TCGA database. Results: We successfully identified 6064 differentially expressed genes: 5324 upregulated genes and 740 downregulated genes. And we identified 161 differentially expressed miRNAs: 126 upregulated miRNAs and 35 downregulated miRNAs. We identified several genes that were related to each other in the co-expression network. Further analysis revealed that the high expression levels of G6PC, APOB, F2, PAQR9, and PAQR9-AS1 genes were associated with poor prognosis. However, there was no significant correlation between the expression of hsa-mir-122 with regards to patient prognosis. Conclusions: Our data showed that hsa-mir-122 and a number of related genes may affect the prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma by regulating the cytoskeleton, thus promoting tumor angiogenesis and the metastasis of tumor cells. The high expression levels of some differentially expressed genes was associated with the low survival rate in patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Lung cancer is characterized by high morbidity and mortality rates, and it has become an important public health issue worldwide. The occurrence and development of tumors is a multi-gene and multi-stage complex process. As an oncogene, ribosomal oxygenase 2 (RIOX2) has been associated with a variety of cancers. In this article, we analyzed the correlation between RIOX2 expression and methylation in lung cancer based on the databases including the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) (https://portal.gdc.cancer.gov/) and the gene expression omnibus (GEO) (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/). It was found that RIOX2 is highly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) tissues, whose expression is negatively correlated with its methylation level. In this regard, methylation at cg09716038, cg14773523, cg14941179, and cg22299097 had a significant negative correlation with RIOX2 expression in LUAD, whereas in LUSC, methylation at cg09716038, cg14773523, cg14941179, cg22299097, cg05451573, cg10779801, and cg23629183 is negatively correlated with RIOX2 expression. According to the analysis based on the databases, RIOX2 gene could not be considered as the independent prognostic biomarker in lung adenocarcinoma or squamous cell lung cancer. Via a specific fluorescence quenching response, organic compound L serves as an excellent probe for Hg2+ in aqueous solution. The underlying detection mechanism is proposed based on the analyses of orbital interactions between probe L and Hg2+, which is new and intrinsically different from the previously proposed one. By investigating the excitation process and the excited state deactivation process of the organometallic compound formed by L and Hg2+, two non-emissive channels, namely intermolecular electron transfer and intersystem crossing, are observed. The co-effect of the two channels leads to the significant fluorescence quenching of L. Hopefully, the newly proposed mechanism can inspire experimentalists to encapsulate the two channels into one probe to achieve accurate detection of metal ions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To investigate the genetic basis of erythromycin resistance in Riemerella anatipestifer, the MIC to erythromycin of 79 R. anatipestifer isolates from China and one typed strain, ATCC11845, were evaluated. The results showed that 43 of 80 (53.8%) of the tested R. anatipestifer strains showed resistance to erythromycin, and 30 of 43 erythromycin-resistant R. anatipestifer strains carried ermF or ermFU with an MIC in the range of 32–2048 μg/ml, while the other 13 strains carrying the ereD gene exhibited an MIC of 4–16 μg/ml. Of 30 ermF + R. anatipestifer strains, 27 (90.0%) carried the ermFU gene which may have been derived from the CTnDOT-like element, while three other strains carried ermF from transposon Tn4351. Moreover, sequence analysis revealed that ermF, ermFU, and ereD were located within the multiresistance region of the R. anatipestifer genome. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Xingbei antitussive granules (XB) is a classic Chinese Medicine prescription for treating post-infectious cough(PIC), based on the Sanao Decoction from Formularies of the Bureau of People's Welfare Pharmacies in the Song Dynasty and Jiegeng decoction from Essentials of the Golden Chamber in the Han Dynasty. However, the therapeutic effects and pharmacological mechanisms are still ambiguous. In the present study, we endeavored to elucidate these underlying mechanisms. This study aimed to explore the potential impact and mechanism of XB on PIC, and provide a scientific basis for its clinical application. Cigarette smoking (CS) combined with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) nasal drops were administered to induce the PIC guinea pig with cough hypersensitivity status. Subsequently, the model guinea pigs were treated with XB and the cough frequency was observed by the capsaicin cough provocation test. The pathological changes of lung tissue were assessed by HE staining, and the levels of inflammatory mediators, mast cell degranulating substances, and neuropeptides were detected. The protein and mRNA expression of transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1(TRPV1), proteinase-activated receptor2(PAR2), and protein kinase C (PKC) were measured by Immunohistochemical staining, Western blot, and RT-qPCR. Changes in the abundance and composition of respiratory bacterial microbiota were determined by 16S rRNA sequencing. After XB treatment, the model guinea pigs showed a dose-dependent decrease in cough frequency, along with a significant alleviation in inflammatory infiltration of lung tissue and a reduction in inflammatory mediators. In addition, XB high-dose treatment significantly decreased the levels of mast cell Tryptase as well as β-hexosaminidase (β-Hex) and downregulated the expression of TRPV1, PAR2, and p-PKC. Simultaneously, levels of neuropeptides like substance P (SP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), neurokinin A (NKA), and nerve growth factor (NGF) were improved. Besides, XB also can modulate the structure of respiratory bacterial microbiota and restore homeostasis. XB treatment alleviates cough hypersensitivity and inflammatory responses, inhibits the degranulation of mast cells, and ameliorates neurogenic inflammation in PIC guinea pigs whose mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of Tryptase/PAR2/PKC/TRPV1 and the recovery of respiratory bacterial microbiota. Riemerella anatipestifer infection is a severe disease confronting the duck industry worldwide. However, little is known about the molecular basis of R. anatipestifer pathogenesis. In this study, we screened 3580 transposon Tn 4351 insertion mutagenesis mutants of the highly virulent strain YZb1 in a duckling infection experiment and found 29 of them to be attenuated and 28 potential virulence-associated genes were identified. Molecular characterization of transposon insertion sites showed that of the 28 screened genes, two were predicted to encode TonB-dependent outer membrane receptor (plugs), sixteen encoded enzymes, and seven encoded hypothetical proteins. In addition, of the 28 affected genes, 19 were only found in bacteria belonging to the phylum Bacteroidetes and 10 were only found in the family Flavobacteriaceae. The median lethal dose of the mutants M11 and M29, which was affected in Riean_0060 and Riean_1537 respectively, were about 1700-fold and 210-fold higher than that of the wild-type strain YZb1, and those of the complemented strains M11(pRES-Riean_0060) and M29(pRES-Riean_1537) were decreased by 25- and 3-fold respectively compared to those of the mutants M11 and M29. Additional analysis indicated that the blood bacterial loading of ducklings infected with M11 or M29 was decreased significantly, as compared with that in ducklings infected with the wild-type strain YZb1. Precise detection of Al 3+ with the aid of a fluorescence sensor is of fundamental importance in the fields of water pollution control and food safety. A comprehensive understanding of the photophysical process of the sensor as well as its underlying detection mechanism is a precondition for the design of highly efficient sensors. This contribution performs a thorough investigation of the ratiometric fluorescence sensing mechanism of an Al 3+ sensor with the aid of density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory. Two excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) processes are observed on the S 1 state potential energy surface, which leads to emission around 565 nm. A twisted intramolecular charge transfer state is observed after one of the ESIPT processes via cis-trans isomerization of the C═N bond. However, the large energy barrier hinders its occurrence, which is quite unusual. Al 3+ is found to form three strong coordination bonds with the sensor, which eliminates ESIPT processes and induces a significant blue shift of the emission spectrum to 480 nm. The origination of the sensor's selectivity is also uncovered by investigating the interaction between the sensor and interfering metal ions.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ex vivo and in vivo biomechanical characteristic of cornea in myopic eyes., Methods: Fifty-one corneal stromal lenticules were obtained from myopic eyes during the SMILE procedure and were tested by a biaxial tensile system within 24 hours postoperatively. The material properties of the lenticules were described using stress-strain curves and were compared among axial length (AL) <26 mm and AL ≥ 26 mm group. Pre-operative stress-strain index (SSI) parameters were used to evaluate the biomechanical properties of the cornea in vivo., Results: Compared with AL < 26 mm, the tangent modulus significantly decreased in horizontal and vertical directions when AL ≥ 26 mm (P < 0.05); SSI also significantly decreased when AL ≥ 26 mm (P < 0.05). Anisotropic parameter is positively correlated with AL (r = 0.307, P < 0.05). Compared with AL < 26 mm, anisotropic parameter significantly increased when AL ≥ 26 mm (P < 0.05). SSI was negatively correlated with AL (r = -0.380, P < 0.05) in the AL < 26 mm group but not in the AL ≥ 26 mm group (P > 0.05). Compared with 26 mm ≤ AL < 27 mm group, the tangent modulus significantly decreased in the horizontal direction (P < 0.05) but not in the vertical direction when 27 mm ≤ AL < 28 mm (P > 0.05)., Conclusions: The biomechanical properties of cornea decreased with the increase of AL. Tangent modulus significantly decreased in the horizontal direction compared with vertical direction. AL should be taken into account during calculation of corneal biomechanical parameters in order to improve validity.
