The study investigates inclusivity practices and bullying management in a group of teachers. The study involved 18 volunteer teachers from upper secondary school in Italy (12 of them were women). They ranged in age from 33 to 66 years of age (M = 44.53). A semi-structured interview was adopted to explore their knowledge on inclusivity within teaching interventions or programmes, and experiences about bullying management. Data were collected using online interviews through specific platform such as Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet. The interviews were carried out between April 2020 and October 2020 in the participant's native language. Using thematic analysis, we identified themes within individuals' brief narratives. Analysis was inductive and involved line-by-line coding with codes deriving from brief narratives. Four major themes emerged: (1) Contact with the phenomenon of bullying (i.e., direct experience versus lack of experience); (2) Educational-didactic practices (i.e., lack of specific knowledge regarding educational-didactic practices versus attempted solutions); (3) Awareness of the bullying phenomenon and its effects on students; (4) Avoidance solutions of topics concerning bullying incidents (i.e., disengagement and disconfirmation responses). Theoretical and psycho-educational implications are discussed. Highlights: The study suggests some critical issues in teacher training. This study suggests how sometimes bullying is not considered by teachers in a proper way. These findings highlight how teachers should apply critical awareness to their inclusivity practices, starting with a revision of educational curricula, and appropriate training. Background: The investigation of sexual fantasies is a delicate issue within sex research. Most studies have focused on the content of these fantasies, rather than on use, experiences, attitudes, and sharing issues, which are fundamental aspects within sexual therapy. The main aim of the present study was to develop and validate the "Sexual Desire and Erotic Fantasies questionnaire-Part 2. Use of Erotic Fantasies (SDEF2)". Methods: The SDEF2 was completed by 1773 Italian participants (1105 women, 645 men, and 23 other genders). Results: The final 21-item version presented a five-factor structure (fantasies frequency, fantasies normality, fantasies importance, negative emotions, and sharing and experiencing). The SDEF2 showed good psychometric properties, internal reliability, construct, and discriminant validity, appearing to be able to differentiate between sexually clinical and functional women and men (based on the FSFI and IIEF cut-off scores). Conclusions: The possibility of assessing fantasies frequency, attitudes, and emotions may be extremely useful both for research and clinical purposes. The current study seems to validate that the SDEF2 is a useful measure of assessing the different aspects related to a fantasizing activity, which was shown to be associated with sexual functioning and satisfaction. Background: Erotic fantasies are the most common sexual experiences and provide valuable clinical material for understanding individual and relational emotional dynamics. The primary objective of this study is to validate the Sexual Desire and Erotic Fantasies questionnaire (SDEF) Part 3–Inventory of Erotic Fantasies. This questionnaire was designed to be a sex-positive and inclusive measure of the content of erotic fantasies, accessible to individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship/romantic status, and sexual behaviors. Methods: The SDEF3 was completed by 1773 Italian participants (1105 women, 645 men, and 23 participants identifying as other genders). Two factorial structures were presented and discussed: a 20-dimension structure for clinical and explorative use and a 6-dimension structure for research purposes. Results: The six-factor version was preferred due to its robust statistical properties and its ability to differentiate between sexually clinical and functional men and women, based on cut-off scores from the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). Differences in the frequency of themes in fantasies between gender and sexual orientation were reported and discussed. Conclusions: The current study indicates that the SDEF3 is a valuable and comprehensive measure for assessing various scenarios related to fantasizing activity. Difficulties related to sexual desire discrepancy are among the most common complaints in people seeking help in therapy. The aims of the current study were to test a mediation model using a bootstrapping procedure where the quality of the dyadic sexual communication plays a key role in increasing or diminishing the degree of perceived sexual desire discrepancy through sexual satisfaction. An online survey was administered through social media to N = 369 participants involved in a romantic relationship, measuring the quality of dyadic sexual communication, sexual satisfaction, the degree of the perceived sexual desire discrepancy, and a series of relevant covariates. As expected, the mediation model showed that a better quality of dyadic sexual communication is related to a lower degree of perceived sexual desire discrepancy through increased sexual satisfaction (β = −0.17, SE = 0.05, [95% CI = −0.27, −0.07]). The study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the Italian versions of the 12-item Sexual Distress Scale (SDS) and the 5-item Sexual Distress Scale-Short Form (SDS-SF). A total sample of 2291 adults (1361 women, 930 men) participated through a web survey completing the SDS, the FSFI, the IIEF, the PANAS and the SCL-90-R. The results supported the adequacy of both the SDS and SDS-SF factor structures, good reliability (respectively, α =.96 and.92), discriminant validities and strong associations with satisfaction, fear, depression, and psychoticism. This study is a psychometric evaluation of the Sexual Activity Questionnaire, a 20-item tool that is focused on the relational, emotional, and behavioral aspects of sexual activity in the general population. The Italian Federation of Scientific Sexology proposed this tool. The study sample comprises 618 subjects (ages 18–80) from several cities in Italy. The instrument's dimensionality assessment is based on parallel analysis and exploratory factor analysis, and the evaluation of items' fit and differential functioning (with respect to the respondents' gender, age, and education) are based on the partial credit model. The statistical analyses reveal the presence of two latent variables, as measured using the Satisfaction and Complicity and Non-Penile–Vaginal Practices subscales. The items have satisfactory fit, and the two subscales' scores have good reliability. The Satisfaction and Complicity subscale is correlated with age and personal well-being but not with gender, relationship length, or the tendency to give socially desirable responses. The Non-Penile–Vaginal Practices subscale is correlated with gender and social desirability. The Sexual Activity Questionnaire shows good psychometric properties and is well-suited for use in clinical and research settings. The use of Dating Applications (DAs) is widespread, and in some cases could be associated with psychosexological issues. Hence, we decided to investigate hypersexual behavior and depression symptoms among DA users and non-users. We recruited a snowball convenience sample of 1000 subjects through an online platform in 2020 for a cross-sectional study. One hundred and nineteen (11.9%) were classified as DA users and 881 as non-users. All subjects completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Hypersexual Behavior Inventory (HBI), to assess hypersexuality, and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) to evaluate depression symptoms. We primarily found higher levels of hypersexual behavior and depression symptoms in DA users compared to non-users. In particular, HBI Total (users = 42.27 ± 16.37 vs. non-users = 31.85 ± 12.06; p < 0.0001), HBI Coping (users = 17.92 ± 8.01 vs. non-users = 13.52 ± 6.03; p < 0.0001), HBI Control (users = 14.73 ± 6.68 vs. non-users = 10.71 ± 4.95; p < 0.0001), HBI Consequences (users = 9.62 ± 4.33 vs. non-users = 7.60 ± 3.37; p < 0.0001), PHQ-9 Depression (users = 12.82 ± 6.64 vs. nonusers = 10.05 ± 5.84; p < 0.0001). On the whole, we found that hypersexual behavior and depression symptoms strongly characterize DAs users; this evidence could represent an important associated factor in DA use for sexual purposes. Sexual desire represents the most complex and subjective part of the sexual response and erotic fantasies are one of its common manifestation. Over the years, efforts have been made to promote a more positive and informed approach to sexuality and the following study has the general aim of exploring whether and how desire and fantasies have been changed in this process. The study inquires sexual desire, solitary and dyadic, and the erotic fantasies in a group of women with the aim of highlighting any differences between some sexual orientations (heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual). Methods: participants were recruited by social network (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and voluntarily agreed to fill in an online selfreport questionnaire. The group is composed by 1094 women (mean age 27.86 ± 9.09 years) with three different sexual orientation, most of them are students and in a relationship. We used three different questionnaires: a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Sexual Desire Inventory-2 (SDI-2; Spector et al., 1996) to investigate levels of solitary and dyadic sexual desire, and the Sexual Desire and Erotic Fantasy Inventory (SDEF) to investigate levels of solitary and dyadic sexual desire and the erotic fantasies. Results: bisexual women report a higher level of solitary sexual desire (SDI-2: F(2,1090)=28.14; SDEF: F(2,1091)=26.93) and dyadic sexual desire (SDI-2: F(2,1090)=9.29). They also report a higher frequency in almost all erotic fantasies presented by SDEF, For example, in BDSM fantasies (Bondage - Domination/Discipline - Submission/Sadism - Masochism) such as "being handcuffed, bound and/or gagged" (F(2,1994)=16.821), "being hit (spanked, slapped etc.)" (F(2,1994)=15.407) and "being dominated/submissive" (F(2,1994)=18.934) bisexual women report a higher frequency, as well as in fantasy "having sexual intercourse with two people" (F(2,1994)=44.180). The results highlight a significative difference between the three groups in the solitary sexual desire with a higher level in bisexual women. In the dyadic sexual desire levels, there is a difference only between bisexual and heterosexual women. From the analysis of the erotic fantasies, it emerged that bisexual women report a higher frequency in almost all the 120 fantasies on the SDEF list. The results show that women's fantasies tend to be more personal, with imaginary partners they are in relationship with or know about.
