Linear increase in crystallite size (16–24 nm) of MnxZn1−xFe2O4 nanostructures and mixed behavior of lattice constant (8.429–8.462 Å) is reported. The system exhibits considerable promise for microwave applications due to its elevated dielectric constants and minimal dispersion losses from 20 Hz to 20 MHz. With x = 0.75, sample is good for energy storage devices like supercapacitors due to large specific surface area (53 m2/g) and dielectric constant. These samples exhibit maximum relaxation times ranging from 1.97 × 10−7 s to 2.43 × 10−4 s, with corresponding relaxation energy values spanning from 159.22 meV to 341 meV for x = 0 and x = 1 samples. The Cole-Cole plots reveal that grains exhibit conductive behavior at lower frequencies, while grain boundaries contribute significantly to the resistive behavior. Additionally, we have introduced Bode diagrams and equivalent electronic circuit models for the first time, offering valuable insights into the electrical behavior of the nanomaterial samples.

The green synthesis approach was used to manufacture the lanthanum modified spinel ferrites, which had the formula Zn0·6Ni0·2Mg0·2Fe2-xLaxO4 and were heated at 100 °C for 2 h. Through the use of XRD, FTIR, UV–visible, RLC study, four probe I–V, and PL spectroscopy the structural, optical, dielectric, electrical, and photoluminescence features were examined. XRD results confirmed that spinel ferrite have a cubic network. The substitution of La ions causes an overall increase in sample's lattice constants, which was credited to the disparity in ionic radii between Fe3+ (0.63 Aͦ) and La3+ (1.061 Aͦ) ions. From the XRD data, it was possible to compute the cationic distributions, oxygen positional parameters, tolerance factor, interatomic distances, bond lengths, bond length angles, and positional parameters. The computed Eg from the UV–Visible spectroscopy was decreased from 2.5 to 1.8eV. FTIR results revealed octahedral absorption band having 557.32–550.57 cm−1 range. The value of force constant from FTIR was revealed in the range of 2.27–2.21 dyne cm−1. The dielectric losses and constant are decreasing, whereas ac conductivity exhibited expanding behavior with high frequency. PL test result shows that La doping improves the material's light response, so the result showed that La-doped materials are suitable for magneto-optic devices. Electrical properties show that DC electrical resistivity decreases in the range of 1.65 × 10°5–5.01 × 10°3 Ω-cm. So, they are suitable for high-frequency circuits.

Mobile traffic in cellular networks is increasing exponentially, mainly due to the use of data intensive services like video. One way to cope with these demands is to reduce the cell-size by deploying small-cells along the coverage area of the current macro-cell system. The deployment of small-cells significantly improves indoor coverage. Nevertheless, as additional spectrum licenses are difficult and expensive to acquire it is expected that the macro and small-cells will coexist under the same spectrum. The coexistence of the two systems results in cross-tier/inter-system interference. In this context, we design several interference alignment based techniques for the downlink of heterogeneous networks, in order to cancel the interference generated from macro-cell at small-cell user terminals. More specifically, in this contribution we design interference alignment methods under different levels of inter-system coordination and the constraint that the performance of macro-cell system is kept close to the case where small-cell system is switched-off. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed methods achieve close to the optimal performance with low overhead.

Minimal hepatic encephalopathy is more common than the acute syndrome. Losartan, the first angiotensin-II receptor blocker (ARB), and candesartan, another widely-used ARB, have protected against developing fibrogenesis, but there is no clear data about their curative antifibrotic effects. The current study was designed to examine their effects in an already-established model of hepatic fibrosis and also their effects on the associated motor dysfunction. Low-grade chronic liver failure (CLF) was induced in 3-month old Sprague-Dawley male rats using thioacetamide (TAA, 50 mg·kg−1·day−1) intraperitoneally for 2 weeks. The TAA-CLF rats were randomly divided into five groups (n=8) treated orally for 14 days (mg·kg−1·day−1) as follows: TAA (distilled water), losartan (5 and 10 mg/kg), and candesartan (0.1 and 0.3 mg/kg). Rats were tested for rotarod and open-field tests. Serum and hepatic biochemical markers, and hepatic histopathological changes were evaluated by H&E and Masson's staining. The TAA-CLF rats showed significant increases of hepatic malondialdehyde, hepatic expression of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and serum ammonia, alanine aminotransferase, γ-glutamyl transferase, TNF-α, and malondialdehyde levels as well as significant decreases of hepatic and serum glutathione levels. All treatments significantly reversed these changes. The histopathological changes were moderate in losartan-5 and candesartan-0.1 groups and mild in losartan-10 and candesartan-0.3 groups. Only candesartan significantly improved TAA-induced motor dysfunction. In conclusion, therapeutic antifibrotic effects of losartan and candesartan in thioacetamide-induced hepatic fibrosis in rats are possibly through angiotensin-II receptor blocking, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory activities. Improved motor dysfunction by candesartan could be attributed to better brain penetration and slower “off-rate” from angiotensin-II receptors. Clinical trials are recommended.

Background. Accurate determination of phonological cycle of vegetational growth is essential for increase of effectiveness of agriculture. The issues of monitoring the phenology of vegetation development in an optimal mode are considered. The goal is to optimize the research of vegetation phenology by measuring the induced fluorescence radiation of chlorophyll. The object of the study is the phenology of vegetation development. The subject of the study is the research method for investigating the phenology of vegetation, which consists in measuring the induced fluorescent radiation of chlorophyll instead of the LAI (Leaf Area Index). Materials and methods. In the model study of the average integral value of the fluorescent radiation of the crown, solar radiation was replaced by laser radiation, which avoids the negative influence of atmospheric factors. The variational method was used to reach the formulated goal. Results. The optimization made it possible to determine the worst-case model dependence L = L(φ), where L is the distance between the lidar and the tree; φ is the quantum yield of the fluorescent signal, which leads to the smallest value of the measured average integral value of the fluorescence signal. Conclusion. It is recommended not to use such a measurement mode in the practice of monitoring plant phenology using the results of measuring the fluorescent signal of chlorophyll radiation.

In this paper, we studied transformations of structured light and its angular momentum in a three-coil optical snake – a coil resonator composed of 3 evanescently uniformly coupled coils of a multimode fiber. We have suggested a fully vectorial theory of normal modes of the 3-coil resona-tor, which takes account of the spin-orbit interaction. On the basis of the analytical expressions for such normal modes and their propagation constants we have studied transmission of some types of structured light beams – optical vortices, Hermite-Gaussian-like and Laguerre-Gaussian beams – through such a system. We have shown the possibility of a super-efficient parametric control over the topological charge, orbital and spin angular momenta of the outcoming optical field by this system. We have theoretically demonstrated implementation of logic X and Y Pauli gates for light beams carrying orbital angular momentum on the basis of such a 3-coil resonator.

We study the propagation of optical vortices in a system which consists of a tandem of a multi-helical and twisted anisotropic fiber. We show that at certain resonance regimes of the optical fibers such a system allows one to control sign flipping of the topological charge and the circular polarization of the input optical vortex. Moreover, parameters of the multihelical and the twisted anisotropic fibers are established for the implementation of a logical operation that corresponds to the sequential executing of two fundamental SWAP and CNOT gates over the states of circularly polarized optical vortices.

данной статье рассматриваются основные проблемы, которые возникают в деятельности правоохранительных органов при использовании полиграфа (детектора лжи). Доказывается, что опрос с использованием полиграфа представляет собой процедуру оценки субъективной значимости стимула, в связи с чем обосновывается необходимость включения данной процедуры в систему методов и средств отечественной судебной психологической экспертизы. На сегодняшний день инструментальный метод психофизиологического выявления скрываемой информации, иными словами обследование с использованием полиграфа (детектора лжи), широко применяется в Республике Казахстан. По данным Общественного объединения «Евразийская ассоциация полиграфологов» только в 2015 году правоохранительные органы и специальные службы Казахстана ввели в строй не менее 75 новых полиграфов самых разных систем и моделей. В Учебном центре Ассоциации за год подготовлено 168 специалистов-полиграфологов для всех правоохранительных органов. Стоит отметить тот факт, что использование научно-технических средств способствует быстрому и эффективному раскрытию преступлений, а также уменьшению числа судебных ошибок. В криминалистике и практике оперативно-розыскной деятельности приобретает большое значение использование методов, позаимствованных из других дисциплин. В настоящее время более чем в пятидесяти странах мира (США, Японии, Канаде, Израиле, Турции, Польше, Венгрии и др.) в правоохранительных органах используются методы регистрации психофизиологических реакций людей с целью установления их причастности к преступлениям с помощью полиграфов.
