Introduction: This reflective article seeks to formulate a theoretical matrix to approach collective processes that allows recovering knowledge, reflection, and the articulation of experiences and essential knowledge to produce -or preserve- conditions for the reproduction of life. Objective: It reflects on the processes initiated in popular pots and merenders as a response to food insecurity, accentuated by the pandemic and the mitigation measures that were initiatives of neighbors or groups of neighbors implemented in the Department of Maldonado, Uruguay, between 2020 and 2021. These processes must be observed in the context of public policies implemented at the national and departmental levels, with deficit apprhes and budgy otros locations. Method and technique: The methodological framework of analysis, reflection and systematization of secondary information was chosen, taking into account various articles and updated information in this regard. Results: Some of the results of the article refer to the construction of a referential framework that made it possible to illustrate gaps and theoretical nodes that enable mechanisms of reflexivity in relation to the «new needs», senses and meanings of communities and civil society organizations focused on food security in the Department of Maldonado. Conclusions: This approach is strategic for the analysis of practices aimed at strengthening rights, solidarity, community care and the potential of building «the common«, its tensions, contradictions and challenges. Abstract: BACKGROUND: Ecuador exports two major types of cocoa beans, the highly regarded and lucrative National, known for its fine aroma, and the CCN‐51 clone type, used in bulk for mass chocolate products. In order to discourage exportation of National cocoa adulterated with CCN‐51, a fast and objective methodology for distinguishing between the two types of cocoa beans is needed. RESULTS: This study reports a methodology based on computer vision, which makes it possible to recognize these beans and determine the percentage of their mixture. The methodology was challenged with 336 samples of National cocoa and 127 of CCN‐51. By excluding the samples with a low fermentation level and white beans, the model discriminated with a precision higher than 98%. The model was also able to identify and quantify adulterations in 75 export batches of National cocoa and separate out poorly fermented beans. CONCLUSION: A scientifically reliable methodology able to discriminate between Ecuadorian National and CCN‐51 cocoa beans and their mixtures was successfully developed. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With this research, will describe the characteristics of free software and its legal implications. In this scenario, it is not unaware of the intellectual effort of those producing technology (hardware, software, expertise, among others). Except that is practiced has been distorted by creating risks to keep its knowledge and access to a select group of hegemony. As a result, today there is a possibility that through general public license rights to be enshrined authors, in a framework of greater flexibility (copyleft). The methodology is descriptive - explanatory, with a review Bibliographic and library records on the subject. This paper addresses some considerations about the free software, their opportunities but also its challenges, while sets out the legal framework for this figure since its implementation in Venezuela. It has used a methodology narrative - explanatory, based on the review and bibliographic in conjunction with national legislation on the subject. It was also consult FUNDACITE ZULIA, through the Mission Science. Concluded that free software is an opportunity to develop programs that address particular needs, and there are those who believe it is a particularly useful tool to democratize access to information in developing countries, however, raised the realities of a digital divide between in developing countries and developing countries. The article discusses the work of International Union on Telecommunications in relation to electronic commerce in poor countries. The electronic commerce has been assertive rather than limited to recommendations and declarations without any kind of obligation. The author also pointed out that the public organisms have been created to supervise the agreements about technical matters and to guarantee the interconnection and the operability of the networks.

This research uses batch sizing as a strategy that complements machine scheduling in the companies. The objective is analyze the flow shop production system behavior when it uses different batch transfer size, under the performance measures.makespan and mean flow time. The experimental design includes the transfer batch size policy, the demand level and the mix products. It results in 192 different analysis situations; these were represented under a mixed integer programming formulation and then were solved in GAMS, using CPLEX as optimizer. Results indicate that use transfer batch improve the production system performance. However, by the setup influence, select the transfer batch size more appropriate depends of the amount of products made. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
