Massive open online courses (MOOCs) have gained popularity among sales professionals who use them for self-directed learning and upskilling. However, research related to their intentions to continue learning is scarce. Drawing from the social cognition theory, this research aimed to address this gap by investigating the role of task-technology fit, self-development, and social recognition in sales professionals' continued use of MOOCs. The study hinged on empirical research and used a survey to collect data from 366 sales professionals. The results suggest that task-technology fit, self-development, and social recognition play a significant role in sales professionals' continued use of MOOCs. The study has practical implications for organizations promoting employee learning and development. The findings provide valuable information for MOOC designers and providers to develop more effective courses that meet the needs of sales professionals.

Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a significant stressor worldwide and reports of psychological distress, depression, sedentary lifestyles, and overall decreased wellbeing are increasing. Yoga practices have been found to improve mental and physical health. The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to compare Isha yoga practitioners to controls on perceived stress, resilience, wellbeing, and protection and recovery from COVID-19. Trial Design. In this prospective randomized control trial, the effects of yoga practices are being compared between seasoned yoga practitioners with two controls who are age (±3 years), gender matched, and living in the same neighborhood. Methods: Participants will be asked to complete a series of web-based surveys at baseline, six weeks, and 12 weeks. These surveys include validated scales and objective questions on COVID-19 infection and medical history. The validated questionnaires assess stress, mood states, resilience, and overall wellbeing. Questionnaires, weekly activity diaries, and medical history, will be collected using REDCap. Results: We hypothesize that routine yoga practice during the COVID-19 pandemic will reduce stress, enhance well-being, and provide protective effects against COVID-19. Conclusion: With the growing concern about the physical and mental impacts of COVID-19 and increased interest in alternative practices such as yogic practices, this study will contribute to the growing body of evidence about the safety and efficacy of yoga for emotional, mental, and physical health conditions.

The North-Western Indian States and the North-Eastern Indian States of Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) are rich of various temperate horticulture fruits such as the Apple, Pear, Peach, Plum, Apricot, Sweet Cherry and Sour Cherry. These horticulture fruits are majorly grown in North-western region comprising of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) and Uttarakhand (U.K.). These states of IHR share the same type of geographical and climatic condition and having nearly common flora and fauna. Out of the various horticulture temperate fruit crops apple and apricot have the potential to make a positive impact on economy of these states. Hyper-spectral remote sensing due to its capability of identifying the small variations within a particular feature (or land cover) is an important tool for discriminating or mapping the specific land cover among the various existing classes. Contrary to multispectral remote sensing, it is not only capable of mapping the vegetation class among the various classes in the land but also has the potential to discriminate within the different classes of vegetation as well as diseases identification within a class. This specific class level discrimination of vegetation is an important tool for mapping. In hyper-spectral remote sensing this variation is observed through the possible discrimination of spectral signatures of various vegetation classes. Thus, due to its fine spectral bands this type of remote sensing data has the potential to map the horticulture crops. However, the processing of hyper-spectral data always require the in-situ measurements or existing spectral library. Such a type of spectral library is never generated for the horticulture crops of IHR. This can be further useful for identifying the disease affected crops and input for developing model for estimation of biophysical and biochemical parameters. Therefore, in this study, a need for the development of spectral library for temperate horticulture crop has been highlighted. Further, a methodology for the processing of hyperspectral data has also be proposed.

Telehealth abortion has become critical to addressing surges in demand in states where abortion remains legal but evidence on its effectiveness and safety is limited. California Home Abortion by Telehealth (CHAT) is a prospective study that follows pregnant people who obtained medication abortion via telehealth from three virtual clinics operating in 20 states and Washington, DC between April 2021 and January 2022. Individuals were screened using a standardized no-test protocol, primarily relying on their medical history to assess medical eligibility. We assessed effectiveness, defined as complete abortion after 200 mg mifepristone and 1,600 μg misoprostol (or lower) without additional intervention; safety was measured by the absence of serious adverse events. We estimated rates using multivariable logistic regression and multiple imputation to account for missing data. Among 6,034 abortions, 97.7% (95% confidence interval (CI) = 97.2-98.1%) were complete without subsequent known intervention or ongoing pregnancy after the initial treatment. Overall, 99.8% (99.6-99.9%) of abortions were not followed by serious adverse events. In total, 0.25% of patients experienced a serious abortion-related adverse event, 0.16% were treated for an ectopic pregnancy and 1.3% abortions were followed by emergency department visits. There were no differences in effectiveness or safety between synchronous and asynchronous models of care. Telehealth medication abortion is effective, safe and comparable to published rates of in-person medication abortion care.

OBJECTIVES: Mosaic gain of chromosome 1q (chr1q) has been associated with malformation of cortical development (MCD) and epilepsy. Hyaline protoplasmic astrocytopathy (HPA) is a rare neuropathologic finding seen in cases of epilepsy with MCD. The cell-type specificity of mosaic chr1q gain in the brain and the molecular signatures of HPA are unknown. METHODS: We present the case of a child with pharmacoresistant epilepsy who underwent epileptic focus resections at age 3 and 5 years and was found to have mosaic chr1q gain and HPA. We performed single-nuclei RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) of brain tissue from the second resection. RESULTS: snRNA-seq showed increased expression of chr1q genes specifically in subsets of neurons and astrocytes. Differentially expressed genes associated with inferred chr1q gain included AKT3 and genes associated with cell adhesion or migration. A subpopulation of astrocytes demonstrated marked enrichment for synapse-associated transcripts, possibly linked to the astrocytic inclusions observed in HPA. DISCUSSION: snRNA-seq may be used to infer the cell-type specificity of mosaic chromosomal copy number changes and identify associated gene expression alterations, which in the case of chr1q gain may involve aberrations in cell migration. Future studies using spatial profiling could yield further insights on the molecular signatures of HPA.
