The calculated radon areal exhalation rate from a wall, based on the one- dimensional diffusion description by Fick's law, is found to be different from that calculated from a building material sample based on the three-dimensional description. This paper is aimed to analytically clarify the origin of this difference and to relate the rates to each other. This allows finding the radon areal exhalation rate from a wall if that from the constructing building material sample is known. More importantly, it gives a more accurate estimation for the radon areal exhalation rate from a wall, which is required to calculate the indoor radon concentration, and accordingly to calculate the radon inhalation doses. Nous trouvons que le calcul du taux d'exhalation du radon par unite de surface, base sur la diffusion en une dimension decrite par la loi de Fick, donne un resultat tres different de celui calcule pour un echantillon de materiel de construction dans une description tridimensionnelle. Nous cherchons ici a clarifier analytiquement les origines de cette difference et a relier les deux taux. Ceci permet de trouver le taux d'exhalation de radon d'un mur par unite de surface si nous connaissons la nature de l'echantillon de materiel de construction. Benlamri Web 2.0 technologies such as wikis, podcasts/vodcasting, blogs and semantic portals could be quite effective tools in e-learning for health professionals. If effectively deployed, such tools can offer a way to enhance students', clinicians' and patients' learning experiences, and deepens levels of learners' engagement and collaboration within medical learning environments. However, Web 2.0 requires simplicity of use as well as integration with modern web technologies. This article presents a Web 2.0 telemedical portal, which provides a social community-learning paradigm from the desk of the physician, the student, the hospital administrator, or the insurer. The presented portal utilises RESTful web services and techniques like content syndication, mushups and Asynchronous JavaScript API and XML (AJAX). The designed portal is based on the Apache Cocoon RESTful framework for sharing Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) medical case studies. Central to this article is the integration between Cocoon and AJAX. The proposed AJAX-Cocoon portal utilises a JSP portlet architecture, which manages the interaction dynamics and overcomes the shortcomings of the JSR 168 and WSRP 1.0 standards.

This paper develops an innovative telemedical education system that enables peer learners to share medical multimedia such as DICOM Learning Objects (DLOs). In this system, facilitators and other student peers can publish such DLOs as Sharable Content Object Reference Model podcasts, where other peers can subscribe to it through their feeds. Such DLO podcasts can automatically be downloaded on the interested peer's devices for review and annotation. The new telemedical education system represents a collaborative network of peers linked in a Friend-of-Friend fashion built on the JXME enabling mobile infrastructure.

A new simplified control scheme is proposed for AC–DC electrolytic capacitor‐less converters operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The proposed method has a single‐loop controller responsible for both regulation and power factor correction (PFC). In comparison with the two‐loop conventional CCM current mode controller, the proposed scheme does not need a multiplier or extra sensors hence simplifying the control circuitry and its design procedures. This investigation was carried out at Sakha Experimental Station, Agricultural Research Center during four seasons 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Five populations (P1, P2, F1, F2 and f3) for the four barbadense cotton crosses namely (Uzbekstanl x C.B 58), (TNB x C.B 58), (BBB x C.B 58) and (Giza 94 x Giza 45) were~ used in this investigation to study the genetic behavior of yield and its components and fiber traits. The aim of the present investigation was to study heterosis, inbreeding depression and type of gene action in four intra-specific crosses to obtain additional information about some genetic parameters to help the breeder to select effective breeding methods. The results showed that the potence ratio estimates indicated over dominance for seed cotton and lint yield/plant, boll weight, lint percentage and number of bolls/plant, while the quality traits exhibited partial dominance. Highly significant positive heterotic effects relative to mid-parent and better parent were obtained for seed cotton yield, lint cotton yield and number of bolls/plant, while it was for lint percentage. The inbreeding depression effects were highly significant for number of bolls/plant, seed cotton yield and lint cotton yield. Highly significant values of additive and dominance were found for seed cotton yield, lint cotton yield and number of bolls/plant. Dominance effects for Micronaire value and fiber length were of greater magnitude than additive effects. Highly significant epistasis values were found for additive x additive and dominance x dominance with complementary action with non additive effect. High broad sense heritability values were calculated for all studied traits, while narrow sense heritability values were of low values for seed cotton and lint cotton yield. on the other hand the fiber quality traits exhibited high values in three crosses as well as the heritabilities of regression. This paper deals with a fuel cell (FC) model to be integrated into the energy management algorithm for a stand-alone residential photovoltaic (PV) power system. The FC system is added to guarantee continuous power supply taking account of the photovoltaic intermittent nature. FC models are generally relatively complex especially when they should be introduced in a complete hybrid system model. This paper investigates a simple FC model derived from the FC electrical circuit model. Analytic expression of each element of this simple circuit is established. Experimental tests are conducted to identify the model parameters. FC model is simulated using PSIM software and validated with corresponding experimental polarization curves. To verify FC model effectiveness for energy management algorithm, simulations are carried out with specific load shape and a hybrid system (FC and PV systems with storage batteries). This paper present an improved SL Z-source inverter topology. Because of the limitation of classical Z-source inverter the SL Z-source inverter has been proposed to increase the voltage gain but still have limitation such as stress, so with improved SL Z-source inverter topology the capacitor voltage stress can be reduced. In previous calculations we considered some α systems with local and non-local αα potentials, and we have shown that the nonlocality nature of the cluster-cluster interaction is indispensable. In those calculations we investigated systems in which we had a maximum of three αα pairs, and we succeeded, although it was not so easy, to remove the forbidden states with a satisfactory degree. In this paper we try to apply the same techniques and same potentials in describing O as a 4 α system, where now we have a six αα pairs, but unfortunately we find out that it is difficult to remove the forbidden states in this system.
