Background: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. Previous studies have determined that IL-36, IL-37, and IL-38 may play a role in the pathogenesis of various inflammatory diseases. Aims and Objectives: The present study aims to evaluate the relationship of these cytokines with rosacea. Materials and Methods: A total of 100 individuals, including 50 patients with rosacea and 50 healthy controls, were included in the study. IL-36, IL-37, and IL-38 levels were measured using the ELISA method by taking serum samples from all participants. Results: The mean serum levels of IL-36, IL-37, and IL-38 in the patient group were 52.17 ± 24.07 pg/ml, 18.46 ± 8.18 pg/ml, and 25.74 ± 8.36 ng/l, respectively. The mean serum levels of IL-36, IL-37, and IL-38 in the control group were 32.99 ± 19.90 pg/ml, 44.61 ± 22.27 pg/ml, and 45.61 ± 17.32 ng/l, respectively. The difference between the serum levels of IL-36, IL-37, and IL-38 in the patient and control groups was statistically significant (P < 0.001). Conclusion: Based on these findings, an increase in IL-36 and a decrease in IL-37 and IL-38 may contribute to the pathogenesis of rosacea. Future rosacea treatments could target and/or interact with these possible steps in the pathogenesis of rosacea.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, son zamanlarda enerji tüketiminde yerini alması için üretiminin desteklenip teşvik edildiği yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının neden önem arz ettiğinin değerlendirmesini yapabilmektir. Yöntem olarak literatür ve arşiv çalışmaları incelenmiş, konunun güncelliği sebebiyle güncel kaynak ve verilerin kullanılmasına özen gösterilmiştir. 1970’li yıllardan sonra yaşanan enerji krizlerinin etkisiyle yenilenebilir enerji kaynakları alanındaki çalışmalarda bir hareketlenme yaşanmaya başlamıştır. Avrupa Birliği ülkeleri yenilebilir enerji alanında öncü olmuşlardır. Çünkü, Avrupa Birliği ülkeleri yenilebilir enerji kaynaklarından enerji ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek adına enerji üretimindeki payı arttırmak için hedefler koymuşlardır. Dolasıyla ülkeler bu hedeflere ulaşabilmek için politikalarla teşvikler verip bu alandaki uygulamaları ve programları desteklemişlerdir. Hidrokarbon enerji kaynaklarına göre yenilebilir enerji kaynaklarından üretilen enerjinin payı çok düşük kalmaktadır. Fakat yenilebilir enerji kaynaklarının fosil kökenli olmaması, çevreye olan zararının hidrokarbonlara göre daha minimum seviyede kalması, daima kendini yenileyebilmesi ve doğa tarafından sürekli takviye edilebilmesi gibi avantajlarının bulunması alternatif bir enerji kaynağı olması açısından önem teşkil etmektedir.

China’s enormous economic development and modernization since 1980s has enabled China to become center at international stage. For last 30 years, China has transformed itself from a weak country to a production base economically; it has politically become a global power, whose views are taken into account for international problems. Especially in 2013, the declaration of the Belt and Road Initiative by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has raised questions about new global order. When the scope and goals of the New Silk Road are analyzed, it is put forward that China will complete its development and modernization and balance the USA by easing transition from unipolar world to multilateral world. Doubtlessly, this will precipitate the competition between the USA. This competition has effects on global scale.

Background : Acupuncture and myofascial meridians show great anatomical and clinical compatibility. Objectives: We aimed to compare the effects of myofascial meridian stretching exercises and acupuncture in patients with low back pain. Methods : We randomized 81 subjects with acute/subacute low back pain into three groups: an acupuncture (A) group, a myofascial meridian stretching (MMS) group, and a control (C) group. We recorded the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and Roland- Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMQ) scores at baseline and weeks two and six. We evaluated posterior pelvic tilt and transversus abdominis muscle strenghth with a pressure biofeedback unit, back extensor muscle strength by the Sorenson test, and lumbar range of motion (ROM) with an inclinometer. Group A received acupuncture (BL 57 and BL 62 acupoints) and stretching exercises according to the posterior superficial line were applied to the MMS group. Results : Improvements in the NRS score were more prominent in group A than in group C (p = 0.004). The RMQ score improvement between baseline and weeks two and six was more prominent in groups A and MMS (p < 0.001, p = 0.001, respectively). The Sorenson test showed significant improvement between the baseline and week two in groups A and MMS (p = 0.004, p < 0.001, respectively). The increase in lumbar ROM measurement in the MMS group between baseline and week two was significantly higher than in groups A and C (p = 0.009, p < 0.001, respectively). Conclusion : Stretching exercises according to the myofascial meridian system and acupuncture contributed to improved symptoms in the first two weeks in patients with acute/subacute low-back pain.

Objective: The aim of the study is to increase the participation level of women in screening programs by increasing the level of knowledge about early diagnosis and screening methods for breast cancer (BC).Materials and Methods: This was a pretest-posttest one group design study held in Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Turkey. The sample consisted of 405 women in all departments of the University. Data were collected using socio-demographic forms and questionnaires. Training about BC was provided for participants. The questionnaire used prior to the training to measure levels of knowledge about BC was re-administered 3 weeks after the training.Results: Results: The women were most commonly aware of the breast self-examination (68.1%). The ratio of women who had had mammography in the previous year was 11.4%. The BC knowledge level significantly increased after the training (p=0.001).Conclusion: This study determined that the level of knowledge about BC in terms of early detection and screening was low and that the percentage of participation in screening was also low.
