Enhanced dewatering remains a major challenge in sludge disposal. In this paper, a thermal solidification treatment under low temperatures was first and successfully employed to improve the dewaterability of sludge from water-based ink wastewater. A total of 95.1% of dewatering ratio, 36.6% of moisture content, and 91.9% of sludge volume reduction could be acquired at 75 °C and 30 min setting time by the reported approach. The DSC results indicated that a large amount of bound water trapped in sludge could be released into the bulk solution to become free water after thermal solidification treatment. The bound water content of sludge can be reduced from 3.40 to 0.20 g g−1 dry solid. The reported thermal solidification treatment is a thermophysical process that does not involve the solubilization of solid substrates and does not cause an increase in the COD value of dehydrated water. The obtained sludge after cooling was a clot of compacted cake with a uniform coralline-like structure. The softening and shrinking of acrylic resin within the sludge during heating contributed to the formation of compacted cake and thus enhanced the dewaterability. This study offers an economical and efficient treatment of sludge for the water-based ink printing industry.

At the same time, COVID-19 led to many offline stores being constrained in many ways, accelerating the conversion of shopping. The purpose of the study is to enable users to effectively use mobile products and optimize their service experience during furniture consumption. This study compares the relevant theories and the current state of research. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, user needs are investigated and data analysis is conducted to summarize interface improvement suggestions. The high-fidelity prototype design was conducted, and the interactive prototype was delivered to users for testing to verify the effect and feasibility of interface optimization and to propose improvement suggestions for the mobile terminal of furnishings.

Based on the water quality monitoring data of 12 voyages in Hangzhou Bay from 2017 to 2019, the distribution characteristics of petroleum in the water quality survey project were analyzed. It was found that the content range of petroleum in the waters of Hangzhou Bay were 0.008~0.042 mg/L, 0.011~0.046 mg/L, 0.007~0.094 mg/L respectively, from 2017 to 2019, and the annual average content were 0.023 mg/L, 0.023 mg/L and 0.016 mg/L, all met the Class I sea water quality standard. In terms of seasonal change, the petroleum indicators in water quality were not obvious due to the influence of physical factors such as tidal current, sediment content and wind force, and they all belonged to fluctuations at low contents. In terms of interannual changes, the petroleum pollutants content were generally the same in 2017 and 2018, compared with the first two years, there was a significant decrease in 2019, with a certain downward trend. In terms of plane distribution, it mainly presented multipoint source distribution, and high value areas mainly appeared in coastal waters of Jiaxing and the south coast of Hangzhou Bay. Through correlation analysis and research, it was found that the content of petroleum was significantly negatively correlated with the suspended solids. The suspended solids in seawater had adsorption effect on petroleum pollutants, Thus the greater the mass of suspended solids in seawater, the lower the content of petroleum.

BackgroundTo explore the surgical outcomes between patients with perforated and non-perforated neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and identify indications for surgical intervention.MethodsThe surgical outcomes of 271 children with NEC admitted to the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital between August 2009 and August 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into the non-perforated and perforated groups. The preoperative factors, including gestational age, birth weight, intrauterine infection, cholestasis, platelet change, white blood cell count, and C-reactive protein level were compared between the two groups, along with postoperative factors including infection status, complications, enteral and parenteral nutrition time, ICU time, ventilator use time, and intestinal necrosis length. Bell staging was performed for the two groups and the mortality of different Bell stages was explored. The risk of death and predisposing factors of patients with NEC were analyzed.ResultsIn total, 271 children undergoing surgery were included in this study. A total of 188 children were observed without perforation, including 57 deaths (30.3%), and 83 children with perforation, including 24 deaths (28.9%). Preoperative cholestasis and time from NEC diagnosis to surgery were significantly different between the two groups (P < 0.05). Postoperative factors, including parenteral nutrition time (32 [3–94] days vs. 23 [1–53] days), enteral nutrition time (27 [0–86] days vs. 18 [0–81] days), NICU time (44 [5–125] days vs. 29 [1–92] days), and length of intestinal necrosis (15 [0–92] cm vs. 10 [2–70] cm), were significant. The mortality rate of patients with Bell stage IIIA was higher than that of patients with Bell stage IIIB. A total of 81 patients had 30-day postoperative mortality (57 non-perforated cases). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that non-perforation was a poor prognostic factor for survival outcome (hazard ratio 2.288, 95% confidence interval [1.329-3.940], P = 0.003).ConclusionsPreterm infants in the non-perforated group had more serious complications and had a longer recovery time after surgery. Bell staging is not accurate in diagnosing severe NEC that needs surgical intervention.
