In this study, 50% iron ore tailings (IOTs) were used to prepare the cemented mortar at low economic costs and with great environmental benefits. Basalt fiber (BF) and polyacrylonitrile fiber (PANF) were added to the tailing mortar to improve the comprehensive performance of tailing mortars, including BF (0~0.5%), PANF (0~0.05%) and the combination of them. The results show that the addition of BF and PANF can significantly improve the ultrasonic velocity, uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), split-tensile strength (STS), flexural strength (FS) and toughness of the tailing mortar. A novel finding is that the enhancement of hybrid fibers is much better than single fiber, and the best hybrid fiber combination is B0.25P0.05 (0.25 wt% BF and 0.05 wt% PANF), because this combination not only causes the most considerable increase in strength but also possesses great cost-effectiveness. Compared to the B0P0 group without fibers, the maximum increments of B0.25P0.05 in UCS, STS and FS are 45.74%, 52.33% and 15.65%, respectively. It is evidenced that the improvement in STS is the largest because the fibers have good cracking resistance and bridging effect in the tailing mortar. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) further confirms that too many hybrid fibers will agglomerate and produce more voids, which is harmful to the development of the internal structure. Beyond B0.25P0.05, the hydration products are also reduced due to the decrease in nucleation sites, observed by combining X-ray diffraction (XRD) tests. In recent years, electrocatalytic degradation of pollutants based on nanogenerators has gradually emerged. Compared with the huge energy consumption of traditional electrocatalysis, this method can effectively use displacement current to induce charge transfer and complete catalysis, so it can directly use the existing water flow energy and other energy sources in nature. This work will explain the basic principles, methods, and measurement methods of preparing nanogenerators from waste plastics, as well as the classification of electrocatalytic principles and methods relative to nanogenerators, which provides important support for the research in this emerging field. In order to solve image blurring, distortion and discontinuousness caused by unstable movement speed of scanning probe of panoramic scanner for draw shaft, structure of movement device of panoramic scanner was analyzed and relationship model between movement speed of scanning probe and angular speed of rotary drum was established, which was taken as theory evidence for setting angular speed of rotary drum. A closed-loop PI control method with anti-windup for integral was adopted to control movement speed of scanning probe. The experiment and application results show that the movement speed control strategy realizes movement with stable speed of scanning probe, and scanning images are clear and without distortion.

The homogeneous distribution of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in the Cu matrix and good interfacial bonding are the key factors to obtain excellent properties of carbon nanotube-reinforced Cu-based composites (CNT/Cu). In this work, silver-modified carbon nanotubes (Ag-CNTs) were prepared by a simple, efficient and reducer-free method (ultrasonic chemical synthesis), and Ag-CNTs-reinforced copper matrix composites (Ag-CNTs/Cu) were fabricated by powder metallurgy. The dispersion and interfacial bonding of CNTs were effectively improved by Ag modification. Compared to CNTs/Cu counterparts, the properties of Ag-CNTs/Cu samples were significantly improved, with the electrical conductivity of 94.9% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard), thermal conductivity of 416 W/m·k and tensile strength (315 MPa). Deep learning artificial intelligence technology, which has the advantages of nonlinear mapping ability, massive information extraction ability, spatial-temporal modeling ability, and so on, provides new ideas and methods for further improving the accuracy of weather and climate extreme event prediction. A transfer learning CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) classification model is established to classify the circulation patterns, along with the newly reconstructed dataset of regional persistent historical heavy rain events, daily rainfall data of 2474 observational stations, and the NCEP/NCAR global reanalysis data of daily geopotential height field in 1981–2018. Different from previous classifications, usually with one level variable, here, in addition to 500 hPa heights, 200 hPa zonal winds and 850 hPa meridional winds over the key areas are also considered in the model. The results show that the multi-level circulation pattern classification based on the transfer learning CNN network has a higher accuracy in the independent test than the single-level model, with the accuracy reaching 92.5% (while only 85% for the single-level model). The spatial correlation coefficient of precipitation between each typical mode and related patterns obtained by the multi-level transfer learning CNN classification is greater than that obtained by the single-level transfer learning CNN, and the variance of 500 hPa heights between each typical mode and the associated patterns is also greater than that obtained by the single-level transfer learning CNN. These results show that the performance of the classification by the multi-level transfer learning CNN model is better than that by the single-level transfer learning CNN. The study is helpful to develop circulation classifications related to large-scale weather or climate disaster events and then to provide a physical basis for further improving the forecast effect and extending the valid time of the forecast through combining the numerical model products. The role of inter-pulse delay on plasma dynamics and spectral emission in dual-pulse fiber-delivery plasma has been investigated using fast imaging, optical emission spectroscopy, and laser shadowgraphy. The detection on the return spectrum in dual-pulse fiber-optic laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy showed that the self-reversal and self-absorption were reduced as the inter-pulse delay increased from 50 to 1000 ns. Using scanning electron microscopy, the ablation depth showed a changing trend of increasing first and then decreasing, and a maximum of ∼2.8 μm was achieved at 250-ns inter-pulse delay. Experimental results confirmed that the improvement was due to the reduction of the plasma thickness from 1.161 mm to 0.964 mm, and the calculation of electronic excitation temperature along the photon collection path showed that the excited atom densities became more spread, which both contributed to the self-absorption reduction. At a long inter-pulse delay, the plasma trailing edge would gradually separate from the target surface with a little further expansion distance of the leading edge, resulting in the reduction of plasma thickness after a time delay of several hundred nanoseconds. The heating of the peripheral cold particles by the second-generation plasma in the later expansion led to the rapid reduction of the peak temperature. Also, the early expansion trajectory of the second-generation plasma was tracked by laser shadowgraphy, which started to appear at an inter-pulse delay of 100 ns, and the average expansion velocity reached its maximum of ∼3.8 km/s. The paper deals with the influence of the spatial confinement on the evolution of laser bubbles and shock waves by means of the shadowgraphy technique. Due to the constraint of walls, the bubble center shrinks faster than the bubble edge and collapses before the edge of the bubble, splitting into left and right small bubbles that continue to shrink down. The result validates that the Bjerknes force has little effect on bubble evolution at the expansion stage but a great influence on it at the collapse stage. We study the evolution of laser bubbles with different Al-plate intervals for displaying a gradual transition from constrained conditions to unconstrained conditions. In addition, we describe the dynamics of the first bubble at the expansion stage using the Rayleigh-Plesset equation. Understanding of amplitude symmetry and its variation of synthetic spin valve heads for high density recording is discussed. A good linear correlation between LFA-SYM and the Fl canting angle was obtained, indicating that the large LFA-SYM variation was mainly due to a wide range of free layer canting.

A microgrid is a typical cyber-physical system. The coordinated control of each unit in a microgrid mainly relies on the cyber system. Once performance degradation of the cyber system happens, such as outages or transmission delay, the stable operation of the microgrid will likely be affected. In this paper, an analytical method is presented to quantify the impacts on the microgrid operation reliability from cyber system element failures and transmission interference. First, the link model and the information transmission model of the cyber system are established to describe the cyber routing path and the information transmission service quality, respectively. Then, the sequential Monte Carlo method is employed to simulate the operation of the microgrid. Finally, the impacts of the element failure and the transmission interference of the cyber system on microgrid operational reliability is quantitatively analyzed. Additionally, sensitivity analysis is carried out, focusing on the impacts of the cyber network topology, element failure rate and different types of information transmission quality indexes including delays, routing error, and information transmission error. Solar energy is a clean energy resource, so the large-scale deployment of photovoltaic ( PV) power generation is of great significance for achieving carbon emission reductions in the electric power industry. This paper proposes models and methods for evaluation of the low-carbon benefits of grid-connected PV power generation projects. The carbon emission (or emission reduction) characteristics and the economic benefits of PV generation are analyzed using the following four metrics: generation capacity revenue, PV cost, loss efficiency improvement, and reserve capacity cost. The corresponding low-carbon benefit models and economic benefit models are then established. By combining the low-carbon and economic characteristics of photovoltaic power generation, a model is proposed for evaluating the low-carbon comprehensive benefits ( LCBs) of photovoltaic power generation and the concept of a carbon emission payback period ( CPP) is put forward. Examples with typical operating data from real-world applications are used to verify the validity of the models and methods proposed in this paper. Strain-induced martensite transformation (SIMT) commonly exists around a crack tip of metastable austenite stainless steels. The influence of the volume expansion of the SIMT on the hydrogen diffusion was investigated by hydrogen diffusion modeling around a crack tip in type 304L austenite stainless steel. The volume expansion changed the tensile stress state into pressure stress state at the crack tip, resulting in a large stress gradient along the crack propagation direction. Compared to the analysis without considering the volume expansion effect, this volume expansion further accelerated the hydrogen transport from the inner surface to a critical region ahead of the crack tip, and further increased the maximum value of the hydrogen concentration at the critical position where the strain-induced martensite fraction approximates to 0.1, indicating that the volume expansion of the SIMT further increased the hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility. Background/aims: Upper gastrointestinal bleeding of portal hypertension cases may result from gastric mucosal lesions due to portal hypertensive gastropathy. The pathological changes in the vessels of the gastric wall are very important in the pathogenesis of portal hypertensive gastropathy. However, the mechanisms of these pathological changes are not completely understood. In this study, we examined the expression levels of PEDF and VEGF in the gastric wall in rats with prehepatic portal hypertension., Methodology: Eighteen healthy Wistar rats were randomly divided into groups A and B. Group A was used to establish the prehepatic portal hypertensive model and group B to evaluate a sham surgery. The VEGF and PEDF expression in the rat gastric wall were detected by immunohistochemical staining and western blotting., Results: VEGF and PEDF were mainly expressed in the basal layer of the mucosal glands. The expression levels of VEGF and PEDF in group A were higher than that in group B at 7, 10 and 14 days after surgery. The expression levels of VEFG and PEDF in group B did not show significant changes., Conclusions: The results from the present study showed a significantly elevated expression of both VEGF and PEDF in the gastric walls during the development of portal hypertension. The expression of these proteins was mainly located in the basal layer of the gastric mucosa.
