Coal production enterprises at present are facing immediate urgency to reduce their high carbon emissions so as to meet the "dual carbon" targets. This study therefore analyzed their potential in carbon emission reduction from the perspective of their coal products, mining processes and emission types. Specifically, this study proposed pathways for 1)upgrading coal production equipments, including the application of advanced clean technologies, upgrading and retrofitting production equipments, and implementing energy efficiency management strategies; 2)technology updates for coal exploration, mining, beneficiation and monitoring; 3)upgrading new energy vehicles and intelligent platforms for logistics management, and improving energy-consuming equipments for personnel in mining areas, all targeting at the major factors causing high carbon emissions; 4)upgrading coal and gas co-capture technologies and carbon sequestration methods during coal mining and beneficiation processes, based on which specific suggestions are offered for coal production enterprises. A comprehensive pathway for carbon emission reduction is thus constructed for coal production enterprises to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

The Tonga volcano erupted on 15 January 2022, at 04:15:45 UTC, which significantly influenced the atmosphere and space environment, at the same time, an unprecedented opportunity to monitor ionospheric anomalies is provided by its powerful eruption. In current studies of traveling ionospheric disturbance (TID) triggered by the 2022 Tonga volcanic eruption, the particular phenomenon of ionospheric disturbances in various parts of the world has not been reasonably explained, and the vertical ionospheric disturbances are still not effectively detected. In this paper, we calculate the high-precision slant total electron content (STEC) from more than 3000 ground-based GPS stations distributed around the world, then we obtain the radio occultation (RO) data from near-field COSMIC-2 profiles and investigate the horizontal TID and the vertical ionospheric disturbances by the singular spectrum analysis (SSA). Horizontal TID propagation captured by GPS STEC results indicates that acoustic-gravity waves dominate the energy input at the beginning of the ionospheric disturbance with an approximate speed of 1050 m/s initially. With the dissipation of the shock energy, lamb waves become a dominant mode of ionospheric disturbances, moving at a more stable speed of about 326 m/s to a range of 16,000 km beyond the far-field. Local characteristics are evident during the disturbance, such as the ionospheric conjugation in Australia and the rapid decay of TID in Europe. The shock-Lamb-tsunami waves' multi-fluctuation coupling is recorded successively from the COSMIC-2 RO observation data. The shock and Lamb waves can perturb the whole ionospheric altitude. In contrast, the disturbance caused by tsunami waves is much smaller than that of acoustic-gravity waves and Lamb waves. In addition, influenced by the magnetic field, the propagation speed of TID induced by Lamb waves is higher towards the northern hemisphere than towards the southern hemisphere. COSMIC-2 is a remote sensing satellite mission that mainly provides scientific data for weather forecasting, ionosphere, and climate research. High precise orbit is the basis for the application of remote sensing satellite data. In order to realize the precise orbit determination (POD) of COSMIC-2, we have assessed the quality of space-borne GPS observation in detail, including the utilization of GPS observations, cycle slip ratio (o/slps), multipath error, single-noise ratio (SNR) and ionospheric delay rate ( I O D ) of the data, realized the POD of COSMIC-2 with the reduced dynamic (RD) method, and evaluated the accuracy of the solved orbit by means of the carrier-phase residual, overlapping orbit comparison and the reference orbit comparison. The data quality assessments show that the data is less affected by the multipath effect, the utilization of the data is low, cycle slips occur frequently, and the carrier-phase data is often interrupted. The POD results indicate that the root mean square (RMS) values of the carrier-phase residuals of six COSMIC-2 satellites are between 6.0 mm and 7.5 mm, The mean RMS values of the overlapping orbit are better than 0.92 cm, 1.33 cm and 1.03 cm in the radial (R), tangential (T) and normal (N) directions respectively, and the mean RMS values of the six satellites in the 3D direction are between 1.38 cm and 1.75 cm. The mean RMS values in R, T and N directions orbit determination accuracy of the reference orbit comparison are better than 5.61 cm, 6.59 cm and 2.29 cm respectively, and the mean RMS values of the six satellites in the 3D direction are between 7.35 cm and 8.79 cm. This study aimed to explore the impact of ozonated water (OW) disinfestation on soil fungal community composition in continuous ginger field. All soil samples were collected in continuous ginger field. There were two groups and 5 time points (0, 1, 3, 5, 9 day) in our study, including OW disinfestation treatment group (O3 group) and control group (CK group). Via internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequencing and further analysis, the changes of fungal community composition were determined. As a result, at 0 and 9 days after aeration, the operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in O3 group were significantly higher than that in CK group. Compared with the CK group, in O3 group: the ACE and Chao1 index significantly increased on day 1, and the Shannon index significantly decreased while Simpson index significantly increased on day 0 after aeration. In O3 group, there were dynamic changes of top 10 abundance fungi from the genus-level and the growth of Trichoderma and Rhodotorula had been promoted while Hannaella was inhibited. In conclusion, OW disinfestation had complicated impacts on fungal communities in continuous ginger fields. The growth of Trichoderma and Rhodotorula has been promoted during disinfestation, which provided more reference information for soil OW disinfestation research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The industrial experiments were carried out to study the bituminous coal blending in a 660‐MWe supercritical down‐fired boiler with anthracite combustion system under low load. The influence of the bituminous coal ratio on the boiler thermal efficiency, flue gas temperature, flue gas species, and heat transfer of various heating surfaces was analyzed in detail. The ignition distances of three experimental coals were measured, and the influence mechanism of bituminous coal blending on the combustion, heat transfer, and NOx emission in the furnace was proposed. The results show that increasing the bituminous coal blending ratio is beneficial to reduce NOx emissions. However, it leads to the rise of the exhaust gas temperature and the decrease of the boiler efficiency, which can be ascribed to the large amount of the cold primary air sent into the pulverizing system to control the air pulverized coal flow temperature at the mill outlet. The ignition distances of three experimental coals are different. The ignition distance from short to long follows the following order, that is, bituminous coal, lean coal, and anthracite. The earlier ignition of the bituminous coal leads to a sharp rise in the temperature of the airflow at the burner nozzle outlet, a rapid expansion of the airflow volume, and a sharp attenuation of the airflow rigidity, resulting in a short flame downward penetration depth and the upward movement of the flame center in the furnace. As the bituminous coal is blended, the change of the flame center and the flame fullness in the furnace affects the flue gas temperature distribution. Similarly, the change of the radiant heat transfer intensity and the convective heat transfer intensity affects the heat absorption distribution of the heating surface in the furnace. Using algebraic approach, we show which elements of a basis (in the reduced form) of Temperley-Lieb algebra can be obtained as Kauffman states of lattice crossing and generalized crossing. In addition, we give an algorithm for finding them and we obtain further results concerning coefficients of the Catalan states that can be obtained as Kauffman states of lattice crossing. • The SCPCF with high mechanical strength and four air holes were used to form modal interferometer. • Seawater temperature and salinity can be simultaneously measured in one integrated all-fiber sensor. • The proposed structure has the advantages of high mechanical strength and simple manufacturing process. • The temperature sensitivity of 1.486 nm/°C and salinity sensitivity of 2.495 nm/‰ were realized. An optical fiber sensor for simultaneous measurement of seawater temperature and salinity was designed and implemented based on a lateral offset Modal interferometer (MI) using a suspended core photonic crystal fiber (SCPCF). The MI was made by fusing single mode fiber and multimode fiber (SMF-MMF) structures with a lateral offset SCPCF coated with UV adhesive film on the inner wall. In the experiment, the response of the sensor to the change of seawater temperature and salinity was measured respectively. The results have shown that the temperature sensitivity of 1.486 nm/°C was obtained within the temperature range from 5 °C to 45 °C and the salinity sensitivity of 2.495 nm/‰ was obtained within the salinity range from 0‰ to 50‰. The sensor resolves the problem of cross-sensitivity between seawater temperature and salinity and provides a simple structure with low cost and high sensitivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Psittacosis is a well-recognized zoonotic infectious disorder caused by Chlamydia psittaci (C. psittaci). Human-to-human transmission of C. psittaci has rarely been reported previously, especially in the case of healthcare-associated infections., Case Report: A 32-year-old man was admitted to the intensive care unit with severe pneumonia. An intensive care unit healthcare worker contracted pneumonia 7 days after performing endotracheal intubation on the patient. The first patient, a duck feeder, had been closely exposed to ducks, while the second patient had not been exposed to any birds, mammals or poultry. C. psittaci sequences were obtained by metagenomic next-generation sequencing analyses of bronchial alveolar lavage fluid of both the patients, and they were diagnosed with psittacosis. Objective: To explore the application of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in combination with vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in the identification of endometrial cancer stages., Methods: Clinical data of 84 patients with endometrial cancer who underwent surgery in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Before surgery, they were received inspection by CT and MRI and examination by VEGF-C and EGFR measurement. The pathological results after surgery were used as the gold standard, which was applied to compare the diagnostic accuracy of endometrial cancer stages by CT, MRI, and CT+MRI and to analyze how VEGF-C and EGFR expression and CT+MRI diagnosis correlated with relevant pathological parameters., Results: Using pathological results as the gold standard, the diagnostic accuracy of endometrial cancer stages via CT+MRI combined with VEGF-C+EGFR immunostaining was significantly higher (96.43%) compared with CT+MRI, CT, and MRI (91.67%, 70.24%, and 77.38%, respectively) (P<0.05). The positive rates of VEGF-C and EGFR expression in patients with different endometrial cancer stages identified by CT+MRI were significantly different (P<0.05). Spearman's rank correlation coefficient showed that the positive rates of VEGF-C and EGFR expression were both positively correlated with CT+MRI identified stages (r>0, P<0.05). The accuracy of CT+MRI diagnosed lymph node metastasis, myometrial infiltration, and interstitial infiltration was 90.48%, 92.86%, and 84.52%, respectively. The positive rates of VEGF-C and EGFR expression were significantly higher by lymph node metastasis compared with non-metastasis; the positive rates of VEGF-C and EGFR expression were significantly higher by deep myometrial infiltration compared with superficial infiltration; the positive rates of VEGF-C and EGFR expression were significantly higher by interstitial infiltration compared with no interstitial infiltration (P<0.05)., Conclusion: CT and MRI combined with VEGF-C and EGFR can effectively identify endometrial cancer stages., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)
