As microalgas são microrganismos heterogêneos, versáteis e disponíveis em todo o mundo. Seu uso tem sido descrito em várias áreas, com vários objetivos, especialmente na remediação de resíduos de variadas origens. Neste artigo, é apresentado um levantamento bibliográfico de trabalhos publicados em periódicos de alto impacto, utilizando como critério de pesquisa as palavras chave “chlorococcum” e “bioproducts”. Posteriormente, esses trabalhos foram filtrados, sendo considerados apenas aqueles publicados em revistas com fator de impacto igual ou superior a 5. Por último, foi realizada uma triagem dos resultados para separar artigos de pesquisa de artigos de revisão. Foram obtidos, após a pesquisa em três bases de dados e triagem, 238 trabalhos, entre revisões e artigos de pesquisa. Ao fim dos filtros, o número final de artigos utilizados no relatório foi de 128 trabalhos. Após análise, pôde-se perceber o crescimento recente do interesse do uso de microalgas para remediação de águas residuárias e outros resíduos, bem como para a produção de moléculas de interesse, principalmente carotenoides, e também do uso dessa biomassa para produção de combustíveis, em especial o biodiesel.

Studies indicate that student teachers' engagement in continuous professional learning, (i.e., student teacher professional agency [STPA]), can improve their readiness for their careers. Unlike earlier qualitative studies often from the Global North, this research contributes geographical and methodological relevance to the literature by investigating STPA in a Brazilian teacher education program using a quantitative approach that aligns with an ecological understanding of STPA. A questionnaire assessing STPA, environmental (i.e., curriculum coherence and learning environment), and individual (i.e., teacher identity) factors was administered to 283 student teachers. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and network analysis. The student teachers' perceptions of (1) coherence between parts of the program, theory, and practice; (2) positive climate with their peers and mentors' recognition; and (3) teacher identity were the most relevant factors regulating STPA. These findings offer insights into developing a Brazilian teacher education curriculum to strengthen STPA.

This study utilised thesis process as a case to investigate how its digitalisation can improve operational and pedagogical processes. A thesis management system (Wihi), developed during thesis process digitalisation in a Finnish university, was piloted at the University of Ghana. The purpose was to see if the system supported the thesis process at the University of Ghana and if good practices were transferable. A total of 44 system users from the University of Ghana participated in the pilot to develop a more fluent and effortless thesis process for students, supervisors and coordinators. Eight of them were selected as informants for the study through interviews and a focus group. The data were coded and analysed using theory-based content analysis. The study's findings reveal that the manual thesis process in use was laborious and dispersive, resulting in supervisors and coordinators frequently losing track of students' work progress. The digitalisation improved the administrative and educational experiences of all the parties concerned, helping students and supervisors to maintain a transparent thesis process-based discussion and to better plan writing schedules. Additionally, coordinators were able to use data from thesis processes to support their decision-making. The results demonstrate that the good practices of thesis process digitalisation can be transferred across these two universities.

The European Commission calls for schools to move towards becoming open to their communities, integrating external social, civil, and expert stakeholders into authentic learning experiences’ development alongside teachers and students, particularly in terms of science education. However, little research or practical implementation has been reported on how community actors could participate in the development of such curricular learning activities. In this study, we present an implementation of the open science schooling (OSS) approach to science learning, where community involvement in the development of science missions takes a vital role. During the study, students developed science missions related to local societal issues that interested them in collaboration with their teachers and community experts, with frequent hands-on investigations outside their classrooms or laboratories, in five European countries and Israel. Questionnaires with quantitative and qualitative questions concerning students’ and teachers’ views and perspectives about implementing science education using OSS were administered after the participants finished their science missions. The results indicate the effectiveness of the OSS approach to science learning involving the community from both students’ and teachers’ perspectives. This study is a step towards supporting schools in becoming active agents of change through the implementation of contextualized learning experiences alongside external stakeholders.

The purpose of this study is to analyse how important are specific environmental conditions and skills of early childhood education (ECE) teachers as predictors of collaboration with immigrant parents. The study included 348 ECE teachers in Slovenia. The results revealed that environmental conditions (e.g., gender, level of education, job position, educational environment support) are important predictors of collaboration with immigrant parents. Male teachers, teachers whose job position is ECE teacher rather than assistant teacher, and teachers who have higher levels of education reported a significantly better collaboration with immigrant parents than female teachers and teachers with lower educational levels. Regarding ECE teacher skills, results revealed that interpersonal and professional skills (e.g., positive values, positive attitudes towards teaching immigrant children and perceived immigrant child misbehaviour) are important predictors of reported collaboration with immigrant parents in ECE. The results are of practical significance for ECE teachers, immigrant parents and ECE management staff.

The current study aimed to explore primary schoolteacher’s emotional stress-coping strategy and to examine its possible relationships with stressful situations caused by pupils’ misbehaviours in Finland context. A total of 12 items in four subscales with second-order model was the most appropriate structure to understand teachers’ emotional coping strategy. In the student-related stressful situations, the most relevant emotional coping strategies were religion/mindfulness,social support from family members, and self-blame. In addition, when teachers use self-blame to acknowledge their stressful emotions, they use another emotional strategy simultaneously, and vice versa. Those results showed significance of future studies on understanding more effective emotional strategies for student-related stress and investigating how teachers use several types of emotional coping strategies coincidently.

O trabalho tem papel central para a compreensão do homem como ser social. Portanto, mudanças nas suas configurações alteram a forma de socialização do homem e seus modos de ser, o que torna fundamental analisar suas repercussões nos processos de subjetivação. A emergência do neoliberalismo e do capitalismo financeiro provocam uma ruptura no modo como o trabalho vinha produzindo os processos de identidade. Neste texto pretende-se compreender como as tais transformações emergem no discurso de um trabalhador cuja atividade é típica da sociedade contemporânea, um agente autônomo de investimentos – ou corretor da bolsa de valores. O estudo de caso deu-se por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Observou-se o aumento do individualismo, e da responsabilização do indivíduo por tudo o que possibilita o trabalho e advém dele; o esmaecimento das fronteiras entre a vida profissional e pessoal; a permanência da alienação do trabalhador em relação ao fruto de sua atividade; a mobilização que o trabalho realiza sobre as características do indivíduo, fazendo com que a construção da identidade ocorra em torno de sua ocupação. Não se defende uma nostalgia da sociedade salarial, mas destaca-se a multiplicidade de produções subjetivas que derivam da lógica laboral cada vez mais difusa e vulnerável.
