The influence of transition metals (Zn, Cd and Ni) on bismuth magnesium niobate (Bi3.5Mg1.8Nb2.7O13.8, BMN) pyrochlores was investigated. Considering the difference in their ionic radii, Cd was postulated to substitute Mg at the eight-fold coordinated A-site whereas Zn and Ni were to replace Mg at the six-fold coordinated B-sites of the host structure. Solubility limits in these substitutional pyrochlore solid solutions were determined to be 0.4, 0.1 and 0.3 for Zn, Ni and Cd, respectively. Upon introducing these divalent cation dopants, notable changes in the lattice parameters and grain sizes were observed with increasing dopant concentration. The high dielectric constants, ε′ of Zn, Cd and Ni doped BMN pyrochlores were discernible with their bulk values of 195-216, 173-195 and 153-195, respectively. The highest ε′ of 216 was recorded for the composition with Zn = 0.1 in contrast to the lowest value of 153 found in the composition with Ni = 0.1. Meanwhile, these highly insulating divalent cation doped BMN pyrochlores also exhibit low dielectric losses, tan _ whose values are in the order of 10−3. The excellent dielectric properties allow these novel pyrochlore phases to be potentially applied for the energy storage applications.

Objective: To solve the problems of low accuracy and poor efficiency in existing apple defect detection methods. Methods: Based on a fruit image acquisition system, an improved convolutional neural network was proposed for detecting surface defects in apples. Deep separable convolution was Introduced to replace the original network standard convolution, to improve the speed of feature extraction. The Leaky ReLU activation function was introduced to replace the ReLU activation function to improve the calculation efficiency and accuracy. Global average pooling was introduced to replace the fully connected layer, to reduce the computational complexity of the network model. After each layer of convolution, a batch normalization layer was added, and its superiority was verified through comparative analysis between experiments and conventional methods. Results: Compared with conventional methods, the proposed method had higher detection accuracy and speed in apple defect detection, and had fewer model parameters, with an accuracy rate of 99.60%, a detection speed of 526 FPS, and a model parameter quantity of 389 072. Conclusion: This apple defect detection method can effectively reduce model parameters and detection time, with high accuracy and speed.

The emergence of keyword search encryption algorithms solves this problem. When users use keywords to search encryption algorithms, they can search for cipher text keywords to find the files or data they want in the cloud environment. At present, it has been widely used. In addition, this article also improves the keyword search plan and the user's query plan according to the dynamic changes of keywords, and proposes a user's multi-dynamic keyword search encryption plan. Through this program, users can search for encrypted files by keywords and change them, and the changed data will be dynamically updated. In this way, the program can realize multi-user data sharing, and can realize efficient search and dynamics.

Objective: This paper aimed to improve the accuracy of identification of small individual betel nuts and the degree of automation of betel nut processing plant by combining with deep learning. Methods: In this study, a novel feature extraction network named Mob-darknet-52 was proposed to construct a method of betel nut location and recognition based on improved YOLO algorithm by using multi-scale detection size. Results: the test showed that the proposed method had a detection accuracy of 94.8%, an accuracy rate of 94.5%, a recall rate of 95.1%, and a detection time of 6.679 ms in betel nut classification. Conclusion: The optimized algorithm based on improved YOLOV3 network can realize the rapid location and identification of betel nut in dense environment.

In the context of the rapid advancement of big data and artificial intelligence, there has been an unprecedented surge in text-based information. This proliferation necessitates the development of efficient and accurate techniques for text summarization. This paper addresses this need by articulating the challenges associated with text summarization and key information extraction. We introduce a novel model that integrates multi-task learning with an attention mechanism to enhance the summarization and extraction of long texts. Furthermore, we establish a loss function for the model, calibrated against the discrepancy observed during the training phase. Empirical evaluations were conducted through simulated experiments after pre-processing the data via the proposed extraction model. These evaluations indicate that the model achieves optimal performance in the iterative training range of 55 to 65. When benchmarked against comparative models, our model demonstrates superior performance in extracting long text summaries and key information, evidenced by the metrics on the Daily Mail dataset (mean scores: 40.19, 16.42, 35.48) and the Gigaword dataset (mean scores: 34.38, 16.21, 31.38). Overall, the model developed in this study proves to be highly effective and practical in extracting long text summaries and key information, thereby significantly enhancing the efficiency of processing textual data.

China’s National Key Ecological Function Zones (NKEFZs) currently represent the largest and most extensive ecological conservation policy in China, with one of the core objectives of this policy being to improve eco-environmental quality (EEQ). This study regards the establishment of NKEFZs as a quasi-natural experiment. Based on panel data from 130 counties in Sichuan Province from 2001 to 2021, a multi-period difference-in-differences (DID) model was employed to evaluate the impact of NKEFZ establishment on EEQ. The findings indicate the following: ① The establishment of NKEFZs can significantly enhance the EEQ of the covered areas, albeit as a gradual long-term process. This conclusion not only meets the parallel-trends assumption but also holds true in a series of robustness tests such as placebo tests. ② Mechanism analysis reveals that NKEFZs can enhance EEQ through the effects of optimizing land spatial allocation and upgrading industrial structure. ③ Heterogeneity analysis demonstrates that the beneficial effect of NKEFZs on EEQ varies across different functional zone types, geographic spaces and ethnic regions. Our study not only contributes to the accumulation of empirical evidence and institutional refinement in the sustainable implementation of ecological policies in China but also offers valuable insights and references for other countries in formulating policies for eco-environmental protection.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of colonoscopy, fecal immunochemical test(FIT) and risk-adapted screening strategies in population-based colorectal cancer screening. Methods Based on the randomized controlled trial of colorectal cancer screening(TARGET-C) which was carried out in 6 centers of 5 provinces in China from May 2018 to May 2021, the participants who met the inclusion criteria of the study were randomly assigned to one of the following screening intervention groups in a ratio of 1∶2∶2, which were colonoscopy group, FIT group and risk-adapted screening group(participants evaluated to be at high risk were recommended to undertake colonoscopy, those at low risk were recommended to undertake FIT and FIT positive people received colonoscopy). The 3 groups received different schemes of colorectal cancer screening, in which the colonoscopy group only received baseline screening, whereas the FIT group and the risk-adapted screening group received annual follow-up screening on the basis of baseline screening. The main outcome was the detection rate for advanced colorectal neoplasm(including colorectal cancer and advanced adenoma). The participation rate, detection rate for any neoplasm and resource load of colonoscopy among different screening groups were further analyzed. Results A total of 19 373 participants meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled, including 8082 males(41.7%) and 11 291 females(58.3%), with an average age of (60.5±6.5) years. Among them, 3883 were in the colonoscopy group, 7793 in the FIT group, and 7697 in the risk-adapted screening group. After 1 or 3 rounds of screening(2 rounds of follow-up screening completed in FIT group and risk-adapted screening group), the overall participation was the highest for the FIT group(99.3%), followed by the risk-adapted screening group(89.2%) and the coloscopy group(42.3%). According to the intention-to-treat analysis, the detection rates of advanced neoplasm in the colonoscopy group was higher than that in the FIT group(2.76% vs. 2.17%, ORcolonoscopy vs FIT=1.30, 95% CI: 1.01-1.65, P=0.037); there were no statistically significant differences regarding the detection rates of advanced neoplasm between the colonoscopy group and the risk-adapted screening group(2.76% vs. 2.35%, ORcolonoscopy vs risk-adapted screening=1.19, 95% CI: 0.93-1.51, P=0.156), and between the risk-adapted screening group and the FIT group(2.35% vs. 2.17%, ORrisk-adapted screening vs FIT=1.09, 95% CI: 0.88-1.34, P=0.440). The number of colonoscopies needed to be performed to detect one advanced neoplasm was used as an indicator to evaluate the resource load of colonoscopy. The number was the highest for the coloscopy group(15.4), followed by the risk-adapted screening group(10.2) and the FIT group(7.8). Conclusions The risk-adapted screening strategy is feasible and effective in population-based colorectal cancer screening, and could serve as an effective supplement to the traditional colonoscopy and FIT-based colorectal cancer screening strategies.

Abstract Tendon regeneration is difficult because detailed knowledge about tendon progenitor cells (TPCs), which produce tenocytes to repair tendon tissue, has not been revealed. Mohawk homeobox (MKX) is a marker of TPCs or tenocytes, but a human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)-based reporter system that visualizes MKX+ cells has not been developed. Here, we established an hPSC-derived MKX-tdTomato reporter cell line and tested the induction ratio of MKX-tdTomato+ cells using our stepwise/xeno-free differentiation protocol. MKX-tdTomato+ cells were generated with high efficiency and expressed tendon-specific markers, including MKX, SCX, TNMD, and COL1A1. Our MKX-tdTomato hPSC line would be a useful tool for studying the development or regeneration of tendon tissue.

This paper presents a new dynamic tensile test based on the Taylor impact technique for application on metallic materials. The Taylor impact test is a well-known technique to characterize the behavior of metallic materials in compression because it allows us to reach very high strain rates (105s−1). In this dynamic tensile test, we launch a projectile with an initial velocity into a specially designed target in order to generate tensile deformation in its central area. In this paper, the geometry of a tensile target previously published in our laboratory was modified and optimized to achieve higher plastic strains and strain rates without reaching the critical state of target failure. Numerical simulations and experimental tests validate the new geometry. Experimental tests have been performed with this new geometry to show the gains allowed. Numerical simulations by finite elements on Abaqus show the equivalent plastic deformations and elongation of the two versions of the targets and the correlation of these results with the tests.

In the finite element simulation process, it is very common to use simplified models to replace the original complex models to reduce the computational cost. To improve the accuracy of simulation with simplified numerical models in Abaqus Explicit, we propose an inverse identification procedure to evaluate the equivalent loading conditions to be applied to these simplified models. We construct an objective function to test the correlation between the final deformed shape obtained by simulation on the full models and the simplified models. A Python identification program using the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm is implemented to optimize this objective function. In parallel to this approach, we propose a data processing step, validated by a dynamic tensile test, to obtain more accurate numerical responses, including data extraction and estimation. Full numerical models for the Taylor test, dynamic tensile test, and dynamic shear test were constructed using Abaqus Explicit FEM code. The complete models were then replaced by simplified models, in which some non-essential parts were removed and some boundary conditions were modified. In order to obtain the same results in terms of the final geometry, the proposed inverse identification procedure is then used to calculate the equivalent impact velocities for the simplified models.

Objective: Based on intra-set correlation analysis, this paper deconstructs the clinical medical records of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Master ZHOU Zhongying in treating thyroid cancer, and analyzes the experience in “mechanism-syndrome-medicine-prescription” for thyroid cancer. Methods: Through Medcase data processing platform, based on Frequent Pattern (FP)-Growth enhanced correlation analysis algorithm, the medical records of Professor ZHOU Zhongying for the treatment of thyroid cancer from June 1, 2001 to February 28, 2015 were analyzed within the set. Results: This study involved 43 medical records, 43 patients, and 167 visits. After processing intra-set correlations, 28 groups of highly correlated symptoms, 21 groups of highly correlated tongue images, 10 groups of highly correlated pulse conditions, 28 groups of highly correlated pathogenesis, 34 groups of highly correlated herbs, and 26 groups of highly correlated western medicine diagnosis were selected. Professor ZHOU Zhongying treats thyroid cancer according to syndrome differentiation. Symptoms with more association rules included neck swelling, neck pain, cough, and dry mouth; tongue images with more association rules included dark purple tongue, dark red tongue, and fissured tongue; pulse conditions with more association rules were wiry pulse, thready pulse, small pulse, and slippery pulse; the pathogenesis with more association rules was phlegm and blood stasis, damp-heat accumulation, and impairment of both Qi and Yin; herbs with more association rules were Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Zeqi (Sun Euphoribiae Herb), and Tiandong (Asparagi Radix); western medicine diagnosis with more association rules included thyroid cancer, insomnia, and chronic gastritis. Conclusion: Thyroid cancer mostly presents as deficiency in origin and excess in manifestations. The basic pathogenesis is phlegm and blood stasis, damp-heat accumulation, and impairment of both Qi and Yin, which are closely related to liver, kidney, and spleen. Professor ZHOU Zhongying adopts both attack and supplement approaches as the general treatment principle, with a strong emphasis on regulating Qi and relieving depression, eliminating phlegm and resolving stagnation, eliminating dampness and turbidity, clearing fire and destroying poison, moistening dryness and softening hard mass, invigorating Qi and nourishing Yin, and paying attention to nourishing liver and kidney, invigorating spleen and stomach, while protecting the heart and lungs.

Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (GEP-NEN) is a rare heterogeneous tumor. The heterogeneity in pathology, differentiation, grade and clinical stages results in different prognosis and treatment strategy. Patients with recurrent or metastatic NEN have limited treatment options and poor prognosis.Programmed cell death 1(PD-1) blockade has played indispensable roles in management of cancers recently.Immunotherapy is being explored in NENs in the world with emerging clinical trials. The results of the trials provide evidence and guidance in the application of NEC.The article analizes and summarizes of the findings of major investigations in this field.

The slip of the packer is the core part of the anchoring system. Unreasonable design of the slip structure can easily cause damage to the anchor claw of the slip, unstable anchoring, and even damage to the casing. At present, the main methods of slip anchoring performance tests are indoor design and field tests, and slips with different structural parameters need to be processed to verify their anchoring performance. In order to ensure that the slips can play a good anchoring effect and reduce the damage to the casing, this study uses a combination of finite element analysis, BP&NSGA-II, and indoor tests to study the mechanical behavior of the slips during the anchoring process. A prediction model was established to optimize the key parameters affecting anchoring performance, such as slip angle, inclination angle, inner cone angle, the radius of curvature, and spacing. Indoor experiments show that the prediction method can greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of the design and test the anchoring performance of slips.

Background and purpose: Free flap has become the main way of reconstruction after surgery for head and neck tumor. Vascular crisis is easy to cause skin flap necrosis, and hypercoagulability is the main cause of vascular crisis. This study explored the factors influencing postoperative hypercoagulability of free flap reconstruction for head and neck tumor, and provided reference for the prevention and treatment of hypercoagulability. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted according to the medical records of 243 patients admitted to Department of Otolaryngology, Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from Apr. 2017 to Jul. 2020 who underwent free flap reconstruction for head and neck tumor. The patients were divided into the hypercoagulable group and the non-hypercoagulable group according to whether postoperative hypercoagulable state occurred, and the incidence of postoperative hypercoagulable state and related influencing factors were statistically analyzed. Results: Among the 243 patients, 128 patients had postoperative hypercoagulability, and the incidence was 52.7% (128/243), including 73.4% (94/128) of two postoperative coagulation abnormalities, 21.1% (27/128) of three abnormalities and 5.5% (7/128) of four abnormalities. Results of single factor analysis showed that gender, age, alcoholism, diabetes, tumor stage, surgical repair, intraoperative blood loss, intraoperative blood transfusion, operative time, postoperative leukocyte, postoperative triglyceride, postoperative high-density lipoprotein and postoperative Ca 2+ were the possible influencing factors of postoperative hypercoagulability (all P

The purpose of this study was to conduct an integrative review of the factors connected with why nurses in China, Japan, and Korea stay in their current workplace.

Introduction Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) have the characteristics of cancer stem cells and play an important role in the recurrence and metastasis of tumors. CD44 is a surface marker molecule for gastric cancer stem cells (GCSCs) and can be used to identify and isolate GCSCs. Here, we investigated the effect of CD44 protein expression, circulating tumor cells, and CD44-positive CTCs on the prognosis of gastric cancer (GC). Material and methods Blood samples from 58 GC patients being treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from August 2015 to October 2016 were obtained before surgery. The cancer tissues from 58 GC patients after surgery and the same amount of adjacent normal tissues 5 cm away from the center of the cancer tissues were collected as controls. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect CD44 expression in cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues. Immunomagnetically negative enrichment combined with im-FISH was used to detect CTCs and CD44-positive CTCs in gastric cancer patients. Results Circulating tumor cells were detected in 44 of 58 patients, and CD44 protein was positive in 34 cases of GC. The presence of CTCs and CD44 is significantly associated with depth of tumor infiltration, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, and recurrence (p < 0.01). Twenty-nine of 44 CTC-positive patients had CD44-positive CTCs. The patients with CD44-positive CTCs were more likely to develop recurrence than patients with CD44-negative CTCs (p < 0.01). Furthermore, 28 of 29 patients with CD44-positive CTCs developed recurrent disease, and the mean time to recurrence was shorter than that in patients with CD44-negative CTCs (16.030 ±5.268 and 21.800 ±4.601 months; p < 0.01). The Cox proportional hazards model indicated that the presence of CD44-positive CTCs and TNM stage were independent predictors of recurrence for GC (p = 0.044 and 0.035). Conclusions The detection of stem cell characteristics of GC CTCs can provide more prognostic information than simply detecting GC CTCs and GC CD44 expression.

The damage of high-voltage terminal shed of composite insulators can influence the flashover performance of the insulators. The study was carried out experimentally to investigate the flashover characteristics of composite insulators with sheds damage at different voltage levels. The results show that sheds damage would decrease pollution flashover voltage, creepage distance flashover voltage gradient EL and the dry arc distance flashover voltage gradient EH, and such decrease range was proportional to damage degree. Besides, with the increase of composite insulator's dry arc distance, effects of sheds damage on pollution flashover voltage, creepage distance flashover voltage gradient EL and the dry arc distance flashover voltage gradient EH were gradually decreasing. With the ESDD ranging from 0.1 mg/cm to 0.3 mg/cm2, AC pollution flashover voltage of 35 kV, 110 kV and 220 kV composite insulators decreased by up to 35.92%, 15.03%, 9.11% respectively; the creepage distance flashover voltage gradient EL decreased by up to 19.15%, 6.05%, 1.34% respectively; the dry arc distance flashover voltage gradient EH decreased by up to 35.92%, 15.03%,9.11% respectively.

According to the urban geographical location of the central region, combined with the existing tourism economic conclusions, this paper studies the urban tourism economic data of the central region by using the method of social network, so as to understand the economic development of tourism in the central region in 2019. Through the research, it can be concluded that the correlation of urban tourism economy in Central China is not high among cities, and the tourism economy of cities is relatively different. The strength and influence of tourism economy of central cities with better tourism economic development are much higher than those without tourism economic strength. The tourism economy of each adjacent city circle is relatively close and develops relatively evenly, which shows that the development of tourism economy is closely related to the tourism economic development of adjacent cities. In the urban agglomeration in the central region, there is a high connection between the tourism economy of the cities in the six urban circles. In addition, it can be seen from the tourism economic network diagram of the urban agglomeration in the central region that among the six sub urban agglomerations, the cities in the sub urban agglomerations are closely related to the tourism economy of the central cities in the sub urban agglomerations, but from the perspective of the overall tourism economy, the tourism economic relations among cities are layered, This paper puts forward some suggestions conducive to the integrated development of urban tourism economy in Central China.

This paper first analyzes the commonness and current problems in the systematic construction of the university history museum, and then, combining with the experience and practice in the systematic optimization construction of the university history museum in our college, focuses on the conception of the content setting and spatial hierarchy optimization of the history museum, as well as the specific construction organization and working mechanism. It provides an example and reference for the systematic optimization and construction of history museums in other universities.

The study aimed to clarify the potential immune-related targets and mechanisms of Qingyihuaji Formula (QYHJ) against pancreatic cancer (PC) through network pharmacology and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). Active ingredients of herbs in QYHJ were identified by the TCMSP database. Then, the putative targets of active ingredients were predicted with SwissTargetPrediction and the STITCH databases. The expression profiles of GSE32676 were downloaded from the GEO database. WGCNA was used to identify the co-expression modules. Besides, the putative targets, immune-related targets, and the critical module genes were mapped with the specific disease to select the overlapped genes (OGEs). Functional enrichment analysis of putative targets and OGEs was conducted. The overall survival (OS) analysis of OGEs was investigated using the Kaplan-Meier plotter. The relative expression and methylation levels of OGEs were detected in UALCAN, human protein atlas (HPA), Oncomine, DiseaseMeth version 2.0 and, MEXPRESS database, respectively. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was conducted to elucidate the key pathways of highly-expressed OGEs further. OS analyses found that 12 up-regulated OGEs, including CDK1, PLD1, MET, F2RL1, XDH, NEK2, TOP2A, NQO1, CCND1, PTK6, CTSE, and ERBB2 that could be utilized as potential diagnostic indicators for PC. Further, methylation analyses suggested that the abnormal up-regulation of these OGEs probably resulted from hypomethylation, and GSEA revealed the genes markedly related to cell cycle and proliferation of PC. This study identified CDK1, PLD1, MET, F2RL1, XDH, NEK2, TOP2A, NQO1, CCND1, PTK6, CTSE, and ERBB2 might be used as reliable immune-related biomarkers for prognosis of PC, which may be essential immunotherapies targets of QYHJ.

This article summarizes the preparation and functionalization of graphene, and introduces the fabrication methods of graphene/NBR nanocomposites including emulsion blending, solution blending, and mechanical blending. The mechanical properties, cure characteristics, fatigue properties, electrical conductivity, thermal behavior, tribological properties along with gas barrier properties are reviewed. With the further study of the molecular interaction between graphene and NBR, the structure and properties graphene/NBR are gradually perceived. Finally, it is pointed out that the development of graphene/NBR nanocomposites in the fields of medium corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, damping and flame retardancy has more room to be expanded.

An efficient and eco-friendly protocol for the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives employing a condensation reaction between 1,2-diketone and 1,2-diaminobenzene derivative has been developed. The reaction of 1,2-diketone and 1,2-diaminobenzene derivative was carried out in water at room temperature using 10 mol% of task-specific dicationic ionic liquid as a catalyst. The results show that the reactions catalyzed by the dicationic ionic liquid proceeded smoothly to give the corresponding products. High yields of the products, short reaction times, mild reaction conditions and simple experimental procedure make this protocol complementary to the existing methods. Further, the catalyst can be reused for several times without obvious loss of the catalytic activity.

Abstract The Spectacled Fulvetta (Fulvetta ruficapilla) is the type species of Fulvetta, an evolutionarily distinct group whose species show a high degree of sympatry in distribution and phenotypic convergence. To pave the way for insights into their adaptive evolution and speciation, we have assembled the first high quality reference genome for F. ruficapilla using high-fidelity (HiFi) long-read and Hi-C sequencing technologies. The resulting assembly spans a total of ~1.21 Gb with a contig N50 of 18.8 Mb and scaffold N50 of 75.9 Mb, and has a BUSCO completeness of 97.0%. The quality assessment suggests a high standard in base accuracy, continuity, and completeness of the assembly, comparable or close to that of Vertebrate Genomes Project. On this basis, we have annotated 23,774 protein-coding genes, of which 18,832 are functionally identified. The availability of this high-quality genome provides a solid foundation for the future studies of evolution and local adaptation in birds.

The stability mechanism of large-diameter steel cylinder under fill load has not yet formed a complete theory. In order to calculate the stability of the steel cylinder island arm structure in a certain project, the limit equilibrium and finite element method are used in this paper. The limit equilibrium method is based on the limit equilibrium of the soil inside and outside the steel cylinder, taking into account the earth pressure and friction force on the cylinder, and using moment equilibrium to calculate its stability coefficient. Secondly, the finite element strength reduction method is adopted to analyze the stability of the steel cylinder island arm structure by using strength parameters to correlate with the temperature field and changing the boundary conditions of the temperature field. The results and analysis methods of this paper provide references for the construction and design of the same type of projects.

With the increasing requirements of environmental protection, the slope reinforcement method is becoming environment-friendly. In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the study of slope reinforcement by vegetation, and the mechanism of vegetation reinforcement has been initially established, but it is not common to study vegetation reinforcement by numerical reappearance. On the basis of reviewing the mechanism of slope reinforcement by vegetation, this paper studies the vegetation reinforcement scheme of a slope by finite element method. The results show that the finite element method can be used for vegetation reinforcement simulation, and the simulation results are combined with reality. The method in this paper provides a reference for the analysis of similar problems, and also provides a reliable analysis tool for the analysis of slope reinforced by vegetation.

Tensile strength of frozen soil is an important index for frozen soil engineering design. It is found that uniaxial tensile strength, three-point bending and four-point bending tensile strength values of frozen soil are inconsistent in the test. For this reason, the meso-level numerical method is adopted, assuming that the meso-level material parameters conform to Weibull distribution, and the damage model is adopted, and the macro-level material properties conform to linear elasticity assumption. Uniaxial tensile test, three-point bending tensile test and four-point bending tensile test are respectively simulated. The results show that the difference comes from the non-uniformity of materials. The results of this paper provide effective guidance for frozen soil strength design.

PURPOSE: There is a need to understand physicians diagnostic uncertainty in the initial management of microbial keratitis (MK). This study aimed to understand corneal specialists diagnostic uncertainty by establishing risk thresholds for treatment of MK that could be used to inform a decision curve analysis for prediction modeling. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey of corneal specialists with at least 2 years clinical experience was conducted. Clinicians provided the percentage risk at which they would always or never treat MK types (bacterial, fungal, herpetic, and amoebic) based on initial ulcer sizes and locations (8 mm 2 central). RESULTS: Seventy-two of 99 ophthalmologists participated who were 50% female with an average of 14.7 (SD = 10.1) years of experience, 60% in academic practices, and 38% outside the United States.
