The work investigated the fermentation of skim milk with a concentrate of bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium adolescentis, Bifidobacterium breve and Bifidobacterium infantis) in the presence of arabinogalactan in amounts of 3, 5, 7 and 10%. It was found that after fermentation at a temperature of 37 °C for 12 hours, the characteristic sour-milk taste and curd were not observed in any of the samples, regardless of the presence of arabinogalactan. It was revealed that after storage at a temperature of (4±2) °C for 10 days, the consistency of the control and test samples remained homogeneous, without separation and visible syneresis. The increase in titratable acidity at the post-oxidation stage for 10 days was no more than 1-2 °T. It was shown that, under experimental conditions, the number of viable bifidobacteria cells was greater in test samples containing from 5 to 10% arabinogalactan than in control variants and in samples with a mass fraction of arabinogalactan of 3%. Based on the totality of the observed results, it can be assumed that the prebiotic was used by microorganisms as a source of nutrition.

We investigate spectral and photometric properties of extragalactic star-forming complexes (SFCs). The SFCs were selected in 17 nearby galaxies of a spiral or irregular type, having inclinations less than 45° and distances less than 15 Mpc. To identify SFCs, we developed a method based on matching sources of emission at 160μm160\hspace{0.33em}{\rm{\mu }}{\rm{m}} (cold dust) and 8μm8\hspace{0.33em}{\rm{\mu }}{\rm{m}} (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). Using photometry in different spectral bands, correlations between SFC properties for spiral and irregular galaxies were considered. Spectral and kinematic analysis was carried out for several SFCs, and a method to detect gas motion patterns in these SFCs was suggested.

Innovative modernization of Russia’s dairy industry is a key factor in ensuring the country’s food and environmental security in the context of increasing export orientation. The goal of our research is to substantiate the concept for development of the dairy industry in Russia and to develop forecast scenarios for its functioning based on the introduction of the best available technologies. The paper reveals specific features of functioning of the industry and the contradictions they cause. We conclude that effective development of the industry is possible only under balanced state policy that takes into account international experience and the challenges that the industry has to deal with. We analyze the use of the best available technologies in the dairy industry in Russia and propose a model for development of the concept of the dairy industry on the basis of the best available technologies. Our scenarios for development of Russia’s dairy industry are of practical interest, as well as our conclusion that the state policy for the development of this industry should be based on an innovative scenario involving its system modernization, which will help ensure food and environmental security of the country and promote dairy products exports. We note that the development and implementation of the best available technologies at enterprises of the dairy industry with the use of foreign experience and tools of state regulation can serve as a response to the system-wide and rapid transformations that are taking place in the industry at the present time. The material of the paper can be used in the educational process in universities; it is relevant for managers and specialists of the dairy industry and for scientists involved in its development through the use of the best available technologies

Codling moth is a very dangerous pest in apple orchards: the pest could damage up to 70-90% of pome fruits in the years of mass reproduction. The climate change increased the harmfulness of the pest during the last years. The aim of our study was the determination of “Shin-Etsu” dispenser application efficiency for codling moth disorientation comparing with conventional apple protection system. The experiment was done in apple orchards of JSC “Dubovoye” (Tambov oblast) in 2020-2021. The objects of the study were the scab immune cultivars Venyaminovskoye and Flagman grafted on B396 rootstock. Codling moth damaged 9.4-12.1% fruits in the control treatment after the first generation and 11.6-15.2% by the second generation. The application of the experimental protection system with dispensers decreased the fruit damage rate after the first generation up to 0.5-0.8% and second generation—0.9-1.1%. The biological efficiency of the experimental system in both cultivars was higher and reached 92.2-96.7% after the first generation and 90.5-94.0% after the second. The average yield in the “Shin-Etsu” protection system was 9.7-12.5 kg tree-1 where 87-90% fruits were premium quality.

The caterpillars of this codling moth can damage up to 90% of fruits during mass reproduction. Changing weather conditions contribute to increasing the harmfulness of the primary pest of the apple tree. The research was carried out to select modern plant protection products with high biological efficiency to control codling moths and increase the productivity of the apple orchard. The research was carried out in the I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Centre apple orchard. We studied the efficiency of plant protection products on apple cultivars immune to scab: ‘Akademik Kazakov,’ ‘Vympel,’ ‘Bylina,’ ‘Rozhdestvenskoye,’ ‘Fregat.’ The efficiency of these preparations was studied with low application rates to reduce the fruit damages by codling moth. The values of fruit damage in control without treatment during the years of the research as the result of vital pest activity: Generation 1: 4.9-17.8%; Generation 2: 5.4-16.3%. In the experiment treatment, Generation 1 damaged 0.24-1.50%, and Generation 2 injured 0.36-1.60% of fruits. The biological efficiency of the experimental treatment was high and reached controlling Generation 1: 91.0-98.5%, Generation 2: 90.0-96.0%. The average yield in the experimental treatment was 29.4 kg tree−1 with a share of first-grade fruits 85-90% (2019) and 39.4 kg tree−1, 90-91% (2020).

There are many apple orchards in the Russian Federation where trees were trained with volumetric canopies; the vigor of these canopies must be suppressed. Prohexadione calcium (calcium 3-hydroxy-5-oxo-4-propionyl-cyclohex-3-enecarboxylate) was developed to inhibit the gibberellins biosynthesis to reduce vegetative growth. The study was done in the commercial orchard of “Planeta sadov” LLC in Michurinck district of Tambov Region (53°02’11.9 “N 40°29’29.9 “E). This research was aimed to evaluate the influence of prohexadione calcium on the length of one-year shoot growth, yield, and scab development on trees of vigorous apple cultivar ‘Sinap Orlovskii,’ planted 6 x 4 m (418 tr. ha-1). After 1.25 + 1.25 g ha-1 prohexadione calcium double treatment, the length of one-year shoots was 1.96 (2019) and 1.60 (2020) times less than Control 1 (without prohexadione calcium application and hand pruning) and 2,00 times less than in hand pruning treatment. The application of prohexadione calcium inhibited apple tree height and reduced the average height growth rate by 10.7% (2019) and 17.0% (2020). Growth retardant treatments stimulated significant yield increases and improved the commercial value of fruits. The enhance of scab protection improved under the influence of prohexadione calcium treatments. The application of growth retardant increased the alternate bearing index.

Different apple cultivars require a different approach to plant protection and nutrition according to their genotypic features. Currently, due to the relatively large number of cultivars in orchards and nurseries of horticultural farms, this approach is rarely used. Our work aimed to study the effectiveness of various foliar fertilizers and protection products in tank mixtures for the scab suppression and their impact on productivity according to cv’s genotypic features of ’Lobo’ and ’Zhigulevskoye’. The efficiency of protection and nutrition programs was studied in the nursery and orchard circumstances. According to generally accepted methods, we did our research in 2013-2015 in the experimental orchard and nursery of I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Centre. We determined the biological effectiveness of the plant protection systems used, the development of productivity components (fruitset from free pollination, average fruit weight and yield per tree), the content of primary nutrients in soil, leaves, and fruits. The ecologized system has provided a sufficiently high level of protection, which allows recommending to producers. The introduction of such ecologized protection and nutrition systems that reduce the pesticide load assumes a much higher account of the interaction of apple trees with other plant and animal species and lifeless components of the nursery and orchard ecosystem. The use of an ecologized foliar nutrition system provided a high enough level of plant protection effectiveness, especially when combined with regular soil fertilizer application, and optimizing the mineral composition of leaves and fruits. Biologization of soil nutrition is one of the most critical tasks for preserving soil fertility in intensive horticulture. The soil application of bacterial fertilizers stimulated a significant increase in the average annual growth rate and stem diameters of young apple trees in the nursery and yield in the orchard. However, the highest results were obtained when applying bacteria cultures and artificial fertilizers at a reduced application rate.

Objective: the aim of the research is to make a comprehensive assessment of the prebiotic feed additive effect on calves. The experiment was carried out in work conditions on 10 black-and-white Holstein-cross calves at the age of 2 to 32 days. To conduct the experiment, an experimental group and a test group have been formed. Each group has included five milk-fed calves at the age of 2 days and older. All the calves have been given colostrum in their first 2–4 hours after birth and then they have been fed three times a day, at regular intervals. The following methods are used: clinical, microbiological, immunological and statistical. The article describes the prebiotic lactulose-based additive effect on the intestinal microbiocenosis development in one-month old calves and presents an assessment of humoral and cellular components of natural resistance in calves. The research results show a positive effect of the lactulose-based additive on the symbiotic microflora of the gastrointestinal tract that improves the natural resistance of the body and the physiological status of animals, reduces the disease duration and contributes to an increase in weight gain. After feeding the calves with the lactulose-containing preparation during their first month of life, the weight gain of each calf in the experimental group has been 21.8 kg, or + 51 % of the initial weight and in the test group 19.0 kg, or + 41 % of the initial weight. Feeding the additive has an impact on the two components of natural resistance: serum bactericidal activity in the experimental group calves has been higher by 17.8 % and the phagocytosis activity has been higher by 30.5%, compared to the test group calves. Feeding calves with the lactulose-containing additive helps reduce the illness duration, stimulates the increase in live weight and affects the natural resistance level of newborn animals positively.

Intensification of horticulture in Russia involves planting of new high-density orchards with drip irrigation and fertigation as well as intensification of the exploitation of traditional orchards. This approach involves an increase in mineral fertilizer application imposing the risk of soil fertility loss. For several reasons, the use of traditional organic fertilizers like manure in orchards is currently marginal. Although bacteria-based biofertilizers cannot substitute mineral fertilizers completely, they can significantly reduce the need for mineral fertilizer application. The effect of microbial biofertilizers of the brands “Azotovit” (Azotobacter chroococcum), “Phosphatovit” (Bacillus mucilaginosus), as well as a mixture of bacteria and the fungus, “Organic” (Azotobacter chroococcum, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus megaterium, Trichoderma harzian) was studied in two field experiments. In the experiment #1, the preparations “Azotovit” and “Phosphatovit” were delivered through a drip irrigation system in various combinations with mineral fertilizers. In experiment #2, the preparation “Organic” was also applied to the soil with irrigation water, also in combination with the mineral fertilizer. When solely applied, none of the studied preparations changed significantly the soil nutrient content and yield as compared with the variant fertilized by the mineral fertilizer at the maximum studied application rate. The combination of the microbial biofertilizer and mineral fertilizers applied at a low rate ensured the yield commensurate to that obtained under high-rate application of the mineral fertilizer.

The article deals with the problem of inhomogeneous minimax problem solution, what is typical of scheduling theory. This problem is NPcomplete, and there is no exact algorithm for it, which has a polynomial time for large-scale problems. Therefore a quick algorithm that gets approximate tables is used. A possible method for solving this problem is considered a hybrid model, representing the synthesis of two genetic algorithms models, namely models Goldberg and CGS. Goldberg’s model is viewed from multiple crossovers and most promising mutation. As it is difficult to make calculations analytically and often impossible to make it in practice, the computational experiment was carried out in this article. The results of the experiment are described in the tables, which graphically show a comparison of the hybrid model effectiveness. The comparison is based on the accuracy results obtained for two types of crossovers with the basic parameters of genetic algorithm. It is proved that the use of hybrid algorithm leads to the results which are more précised to the optimal ones, despite the deterioration in the temporary search characteristics solutions.

Current article presents 90 degrees two-angle bending new process chart with usage of tool with elastic bars. Tool design allows considering elastic blank’s springback to get more precise bending radius. Usage of elastic bars makes two-angle bending process more producible and costless as there no need to make additional operations of geometry defects correction. In that article, bending technological parameters are determined. Strain-stress blank’s conditions during processing is describe. Analytical calculations are made and elastic bar sizes for different blank material are demonstrated.

The results of investigation of photon transport through the subwavelength hole in the opaque screen by using single neutral atom are represented. The basis of the proposed and implemented method is the absorption of a photon by a neutral atom immediately before the subwavelength aperture, traveling of the atoms through the hole and emission of a photon on the other side of the screen. Realized method is the alternative approach to existing for photon transport through a subwavelength aperture: 1) self-sustained transmittance of a photon through the aperture according to the Bethe’s model; 2) extra ordinary transmission because of surface-plasmon excitation.

The article considers the problem of estimating the parameters of motion under conditions of disturbances in the measurement process, which are caused by missing data, misses in measurements, etc. in the operation of radar systems. The structure of the included filter for estimating the parameters of motion is determined by the mathematical model of the maneuvering target. At present time the kinematic models are widely used, but they do not fully correspond to the observed dynamics. This may lead to divergence of the estimation process and failure of the computational procedure. New dynamic filters of the combined maximum principle with the dynamic model of motion possess higher accuracy and stability and smaller amount of computational costs in comparison with common filters. The materials and methods We propose new mathematical model that determines the structure of the dynamic filter of the combined maximum principle. A numerical simulation of the operation of the proposed filter, as well as comparison of its efficiency with common filters by a number of criteria are performed. The results. The efficiency of functioning of radio engineering systems on the basis of the solution to the problem of synthesis of a dynamic filter using method of the combined maximum principle with construction of adaptive dynamic model of motion in vector-matrix form is increased. This makes it possible to eliminate the divergence of computational estimation procedures caused by the inadequacy of the structure of the mathematical model of motion. It is shown that the developed dynamic filter differs from the known filters in terms of the structure of the transition matrix. Discussion and conclusions The results of the mathematical modeling showed that in comparison with the Kalman filter and the “alpha-beta” filter the new dynamic filter under conditions of disturbances in the measuring process increase the number of performance indicators.

We show the results of optical nonlinear interaction of laser light with plasmonic nanostructures. Creation of a nanolocalized source of UV radiation (λ = 260 nm) of the record high intensity was demonstated. Possibility of use of the source for biomedical applications was shown.
