Varicose veins of the lower extremities is one of the most common diseases on Earth and its combination with other diseases is inevitable. The combination of diseases aggravates the course of each other. Rheumatoid arthritis worsens the course of varicose veins with trophic disorders – both independently – an increase in pro-inflammatory factors, a change in microcirculation, deformation of the limb axis with a violation of musculoskeletal function, and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis reduces the immune response of the body reducing the reparative capabilities of the body. Clinical case: a patient with a long course of rheumatoid arthritis and varicose veins. For a long time he used cytostatic drugs with a subsequent transition to hormonal drugs. For about 5 years, he noted the appearance of ulcers on both shins, which took a circular shape, which significantly reduced the quality of life and did not respond to conservative treatment. He repeatedly underwent inpatient treatment with intravenous administration of general restorative and vascular drugs. He was also constantly observed in the polyclinic at the place of residence with the implementation of local treatment of ulcerative surfaces. The patient was successively treated for varicose veins by endovenous laser coagulation of the trunks of large subcutaneous veins. The second stage was performed debridement of the wound surface and skin grafting with a free perforated flap. The results are presented of the experimental study of survival rates of autologous bifidobacteria and lactobacilli strains (autostrains) in the intestines of conventional white mice and guinea pigs, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of the use of isolated bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains in the correction of microecological disorders in the intestines of animals with antibiotic-associated dysbacteriosis. Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains isolated from intestinal contents of conventional white mice and guinea pigs, as well as rifampicin-resistant derivatives of isolated bacterial autostrains were used in the experiments. It is found that rifampicin-resistant derivatives of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains retain species and genetically fixed sign of antibiotic resistance. Administered orally to experimental animals, autostrains of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli do not survive in the intestines of animals and are eliminated to 4 days after cessation of administration. Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli autostrains exert virtually no influence on the recovery of the intestinal microbiota in experimental animals with antibiotic-associated dysbacteriosis unlike lactobacilli metabolites and prebiotic Stimbifid, efficiently restoring intestinal microbiota in a short time

Biological and physical-chemical properties of the pseudotuberculosis agent cultures were shown to be diverse in the process of submerged cultivation at various temperatures. The microbe cultivation at the increased temperature (37°C) was characterized by fast development and death of the population. Decelerated lag phase and extended exponential phase were observed under the conditions of cultivation at low temperature. The culture grown at 27 °C was found to get an intermediate position between those grown at 10 and 37 °C.

Cellular morphologic variations of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis strain 164/84 were assessed depending on the cultivation temperature and the plague agent's fra-operon carriage by these cells. Notably slower population growth of the two isogenic variants of strain 164/84 (fra+ and fra-) was observed at the cultivation temperatures of 4 to 6 °C as compared with those at 26-28 °C and 36-38 °C. Only late growth stages at the temperatures of 36 to 38 °C brought about significant differences between the fra+ and fra- cell variants expressed in the occurrence of relatively bigger cells in the population of the capsule forming Y. pseudotuberculosis variant.

Chiral ferrocene-containing iminoarylphosphite ligands based on 4,4'-dimethoxy-6,6'-di-tert-butyl-biphenyldiol-2,2' and their chelate complexes with Rh(I) and Pd(II) were synthesized for the first time. They were shown to be perspective reagents in the reactions of asymmetric allyl substitution. The Pd-catalyzed alkylation of 1,3-diphenylallylacetate with dimethyl malonate results in a 87% enantiomer excess (ee), while in sulfonylation of 1,3-diphenylallylacetate with sodium para-toluenesulfinite, this figure amounts to 67%. The results obtained were compared with coordination and catalytic efficiency of a less sterically hindered ferro-cenyliminophosphite based on pyrocatechol. The compositions and structures of new compounds were determined by the 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, IR, mass spectrometry (EI, FAB, and electrospray techniques), and elemental analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract A chiral P,N-bidentate aryl phosphite ligand containing peripheral (R)-(+)-camphor-derived ketimine and its rhodium(I) and palladium(II) chelate complexes were synthesized for the first time. These compounds were found to be suitable for asymmetric allylic substitution. The Pd-catalyzed sulfonylation of 1,3-diphenylallyl acetate with sodium p-toluenesulfinate gave the product in 73% ee; in the alkylation of the same substrate with dimethyl malonate, the ee was 94%.
