Linc00152, located on chromosome 2p11.2, is a long intergenic non‐coding RNA molecule with 828 nucleotides that is highly expressed in many types of human tumor tissues, especially in malignant tumors of the digestive system. Linc00152 promotes the occurrence and development of tumors by increasing tumor cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis, and apoptosis. Additionally, linc00152 contributes to the carcinogenesis of several cancers, including gastric cancer, liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, gallbladder cancer, clear cell renal cell carcinoma, and colorectal cancer, by disturbing various signaling pathways (eg PI3K/AKT, mTOR, IL‐1, and NOTCH 1 signaling pathways). High linc00152 expression levels are associated with chemoresistance as well as poor prognosis and shorter survival. Continual advances made in the relevant research have indicated that linc00152 may be useful as a new tumor molecular biomarker, applicable for tumor diagnosis, targeted therapy, and prognosis assessment. This review summarizes the progress in the research into the relationship between linc00152 and the occurrence and development of malignancies based on molecular functions, regulatory mechanisms, and clinical applications. Objective. To assess the efficacy and short- and mid-term results of endovascular surgery and hybrid surgical procedures in treatment of complex aortic dissection. Methods. Clinical data of 90 patients with complex aortic dissection admitted from June 2012 to June 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Among the patients, 60 cases were male and 30 cases were female, and their ages were ranged from 32 to 79, with an average age of 55 years old; different endovascular techniques and/or hybrid procedures were performed in these patients. Results. Technical success rate was 100% for the entire group of patients. Type I endoleak occurred in 8 patients immediately after stent-graft placement, which in 2 cases disappeared after a proximal Cuff placement, and the other cases received no special treatment. Follow-up was conducted from 1 month to 72 months, with an average of 36.3 months, and no stent-graft migration or organ ischemia was noted. In the follow-up patients, no type I endoleak occurred but type II endoleak was found in 2 cases, which were cured without treatment; no patient had paraplegia. Conclusion. Endovascular surgery and hybrid procedures have demonstrable mid- and long-term efficacy in treatment of complex aortic diseases. Cisplatin (CDDP)-based chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for muscle-invasive and metastatic bladder cancer, yet most patients rapidly develop resistance. N6-methyladenosine (m 6 A) methylation is a pervasive RNA modification, and its specific role and potential mechanism in the regulation of CDDP chemosensitivity in bladder cancer remain unclear. Furthermore, studies have not yet fully elucidated whether circular RNA (circRNA) can directly regulate m 6 A modification of mRNA. Here we report upregulation of a novel circRNA, hsa_circ_0008399 ( circ0008399 ), by eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A3 (EIF4A3) in bladder cancer tissues and cell lines. Functionally, circ0008399 inhibited apoptosis of bladder cancer cells. Mechanistically, circ0008399 bound Wilms' tumor 1-associating protein (WTAP) to promote formation of the WTAP/METTL3/METTL14 m 6 A methyltransferase complex. Circ0008399 increased expression of TNF alpha-induced protein 3 (TNFAIP3) by increasing its mRNA stability in an m 6 A-dependent manner. In patients with bladder cancer, high expression of circ0008399 and WTAP was associated with poor outcomes. Importantly, activation of the circ0008399 /WTAP/TNFAIP3 pathway decreased bladder cancer chemosensitivity to CDDP, and targeting the circ0008399 /WTAP/TNFAIP3 axis enhanced the CDDP efficacy. Collectively, these findings give novel insights into circRNA-mediated regulation of m 6 A modifications and provide potential therapeutic targets for bladder cancer.
