Background. Current molecular and genetic approaches make it possible to accelerate ryegrass breeding, simplify source material evaluation, and increase its accuracy. The efficiency of PCR-based SSR and SCoT marker techniques was studied in the context of evaluating the genetic structure of annual and perennial ryegrass accessions and defining DNA-identifying markers.Materials and methods. Genomic DNA was isolated from the aggregate sample of 30 seedlings from each of the 15 analyzed cultivars according to the modified SDS DNA extraction protocol. In total, 20 SSR and 22 SCoT markers were used to assess genetic polymorphism. Basic parameters of the markers’ informative efficiency were identified. Genetic relationships among the studied cultivars were analyzed on the basis of the Neighbor-Joining dendrogram and Bayesian model.Results. To assess the genetic polymorphism of ryegrass species and varieties, 7 SSR loci were selected, for which 110 allelic variants were identified (34 alleles were unique for individual cultivars), and 9 SCoT loci, for which 78 polymorphic amplification fragments were identified, with 28 being cultivar-specific. The dendrogram of genetic similarity and modeling in the Structure v2.3.4 program according to the results of SSR and SCoT analyses distributed the cultivars by their traits according to their species, ploidy level, origin, and similarity. Based on PCoA, carried out using summarized data of SSR and SCoT analyses, a multidimensional diagram of genetic relationships among ryegrass cultivars was constructed.Conclusions. The systems of SSR and SCoT markers appeared to be an efficient tool to reveal genetic polymorphism and identify differences among ryegrass species and cultivars. We found unique DNA profiles that can be used for genetic identification. The results of the study have practical significance in cultivar-specific identification and selection of cultivars for various purposes.

Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) and turnip rape (B. rapa L. subsp. campestris (L.)) are important agricultural plants widely used for food, fodder and technical purposes and as green manure. Over the past decades, a large number of perspective varieties that are being currently cultivated in every region of Russia have been developed. To increase the breeding efficiency and facilitate the seed production, modern molecular-genetic techniques should be introduced as means to estimate species and varietal diversity. The objective of the presented research study was to investigate DNA polymorphism of the rapeseed and turnip rape varieties developed at Federal Williams Research Center of Forage Production and Agroecology and detect informative markers for varietal identification and genetic certification. To genotype 18 gDNA samples, 42 and 25 combinations of respective SSR and SRAP primers were used. The results obtained demonstrate that SRAP markers were more effective for polymorphism analysis: 36 % of the tested markers revealed genetic polymorphism compared with only 16.7 % of microsatellite loci. Molecular markers to detect differences at interspecific and intervarietal levels have also been found. For the investigated set, such microsatellite loci as Na12A02, Ni2C12, Ni02-D08a, Ra02-E01, Ni03H07а and SRAP-marker combinations as F13-R9, Me4-R7, F11-Em2, F10-R7, F9-Em2 and F9-R8 proved to be informative. Application of the two marker techniques made it possible to detect a higher level of DNA polymorphism in plants of different types (spring and winter varieties) if compared against the intervarietal differences within a species or a group. According to Nei’s genetic diversity index, in the cluster of winter rapeseed, VIK 2 and Gorizont varieties had the longest genetic distance, and in the spring cluster, these were Novosel and Veles. A high level of similarity was found between Vikros and Bizon winter rapeseed varieties. The results obtained have a high practical value for varietal specification of seed material and genetic certification of rapeseed and turnip rape varieties.

Background. Identification of crop varieties is presently one of the most important aspects due a significant annual increase in the number of newly developed cultivars. Application of molecular markers makes it possible to identify cultivars and secure protection of plant breeders’ rights. Marker techniques based on SSR loci and PawS markers were evaluated for their efficiency in revealing the DNA polymorphism in Russian red clover cultivars, and the research results are presented in this publication.Materials and Methods. The total genome DNA was extracted by a modified SDS method from 30 seedlings per each cultivar. Nine simple sequence repeats (SSR) and 4 PawS markers were used for genotyping. The basic genetic diversity parameters were measured and analyzed using the software resources GelAnalyzer 2010а, MStools v.3, and Statistica 7.0.Results and conclusion. The mean level of intervarietal DNA polymorphism in red clover was 38.6%. Cultivar-specific amplicons were obtained for 4 accessions (cvs. ‘Trifon’, ‘Topaz’, ‘Trio’ and ‘Mars’) with SSR loci RCS1307 and RCS3095. These loci were found appropriate for identification and certification of such cultivars. The tested PawS markers (individually and in combinations) proved non-informative for the analysis of intervarietal DNA polymorphism in red clover. The only primer pair PawS5+PawS16 generated reproducible PCR products, but unique amplicons were absent in the DNA profiles. The data obtained in this study may be helpful for further identification and certification of Russian red clover cultivars and promising breeding materials.

For the assessment of factors promoting progression of atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries (CA), we performed a detailed clinical-laboratory and instrumental comparison of the two groups of patients – with asymptomatic CA stenosis and with ischemic stroke resulted from stenosis of the CA. Progression of atherosclerotic damage of the CA was shown to be related with the following factors: а) severity of hemorheologic changes (including iatrogenic resistance to antiagregating drugs); b) presence of endothelial dysfunction; c) increase of the level of immunohistochemical markers of angiogenesis (molecules of intercellular adhesion sICAM21 and sРЕCAM21); d) the state of central hemodynamics and cerebral perfusion. The obtained data help to individualize medical and prophylactic procedures, select a group of patients with the high risk of ischemic stroke and clarify indications to reconstructive angioneurosurgical operations.

The history and development of the Department of Physiology of Tomsk State University (now the Department of Normal Physiology, Siberian State Medical University) and the main results and continuity of physiological functions of the digestive system doctrine has been presented.

The article presents the method of examination of patients with knee-joint pathology (consecutive slipping patella) that includes collection of anamnestic data, evaluation of state of the joint, complex X-ray examinationfor determination of patella-femoral congruence degree. In some questionable cases additional MR-image examination of joint is necessary. The most informative indices were: Blumensaat determination of line, lnsall - Salvati index, criteria of determination of patella height by Blackburne - Peel, criteria of vertical position of patella, angle of patella opening by Wiberg, angle of opening of femoral block of femoral bone by Ficat or sulcular angle, congruence angle by Merchant, lateral patella-femoral angle and less studied patella-femoral index.

Decomposition of N-nitroso-N-cyclopropylureas at 5—7 °C on treatment with K2CO3 containing 15—20% H2O allows simultaneous generation of both substituted diazocyclopropanes and cyclopropyldiazonium ions, which can react according to 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition or azo-coupling pattern with appropriate substrates. The nature of substituents in the cyclopropyl ring have a pronounced influence on the product ratio (and, probably, on the equilibrium between the diazo compound and the diazonium ion). Thus, on treatment with a base in the presence of equimolar amounts of methyl metacrylate as a trap for the diazo compound and 2-naphthol as a trap for the diazonium ion, N-cyclopropyl- and N-(2,2-dimethylcyclopropyl)-N-nitrosourea azo coupling products predominate. Conversely, N-(2,2-dichlorocyclopropyl)-N-nitrosourea is transformed predominantly into 1,3-cycloaddition products. A rationalization for the experimental data is proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim. To develop the optimal method for the synthesis of new polysubstituted thienylpyrroles and study them as cereal growth stimulants. Results and discussion. Preparative methods for the synthesis of 4-(5-carboxythiophen-2-yl)-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid, 5-(5-carboxythiophen-2-yl)-2,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-3-carboxylic acid and ethyl 4-(4-amino-5)-thoxycarbonyl (thiophen-2-yl)-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate have been developed by step reactions. 4-(5-Carboxythiophen-2-yl)-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid is the most promising for the study of the growth-stimulating activity on grain seeds. Experimental part. Using ethyl 4-acyl-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate and ethyl 5-acetyl-2,4-dimethyl- 1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylate as starting compounds 4-(5-carboxythiophen-2-yl)-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic and 5-(5-carboxythiophen-2-yl) 2,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-3-carboxylic acid were obtained. By the action of the Wilsmeier-Haack reagent on the latter the corresponding pyrroles with the chlorvinylcarbaldehyde fragment were isolated; their post-cyclization with ethyl ester of thioglycolic acid and the subsequent hydrolysis leads to the formation of thienylpyroldicarboxylic acids. The study of the physiological activity of the compounds synthesized was performed on seeds of different varieties of wheat and barley. Conclusions. By means of sequential reactions the polysubstituted thienylpyrrolcarboxylic acids previously unknown and their esters have been synthesized. The features of the study of these compounds as plant growth stimulants have been revealed.

Purpose. A goal of the work is development of 3D numerical model for a territorial risk assessment in a case of a terrorist attack with usage of a chemical agent. Methodology. To describe the process of chemical agent dispersion in the atmosphere, emitted in a case of a terrorist attack, the equation of mass transfer of an admixture in atmospheric air is used. The equation takes into account a velocity of the wind flow, atmospheric diffusion, an intensity of chemical agent emission, a buildings presence near a place of a chemically hazardous substance release. For numerical integration of the modeling equation, a finite difference method is used. A feature of the developed numerical model is possibility of a territorial risk assessment in a case of a terrorist attack under different weather conditions and a buildings presence. For calculation of wind flow velocity field in a case of building presence 3D equation for potential of velocity is used. Findings. The specialized numerical model and software package which can be used for a territorial risk assessment, both in a case of terrorist attacks with usage of chemical agents, and in a case of extreme situations at chemically hazardous facilities and transport are developed. The method can be implemented on small and medium-powered computers, which allows it to be widely used for solving this class of problems. The results of a computational experiment are presented that allow estimating possibilities of the proposed method for assessing a territorial risk in a case of a terrorist attack with usage of chemical agent. Originality. An effective method of a territorial risk assessment in a case of a terrorist attack with usage of a chemically hazardous substance is proposed. The method can be used to assess a territorial risk in an urban environment, which allows to obtain adequate data about possible affected areas. The method is based on numerical integration of the fundamental mass transfer equation, which expresses the law of conservation of mass in a liquid medium. Practical value. The proposed method for a territorial risk assessment in a case of a terrorist attack with usage of a chemical agent can be used to calculate the affected areas near administrative buildings, centers and other socially significant facilities.

Purpose.The purpose of the paper is: (1) the definition of perspectives development of Ukrainian railway tourism on the narrow gauge lines of Zakarpattia; 2) technical condition analysis of Borzhava narrow gauge railway for the project to restore the effective functioning of mountain railways track, width 750 mm in the Carpathian region, with the possibility of their accession to the distributed travel network; 3) the study of the modern state and tendencies of development of tourist industry of Ukraine and the passenger economy of national railways; 4) clarification of the role and place of the railway tourism in the transportation system. Methodology. The expert group has carried out field inspections and field investigations of facilities track facilities and passenger infrastructure, rolling stock and ancillary industries involved in the functioning narrow-gauge railway. It was estimated the overall technical condition of the railway track and engineering structures section of narrow-gauge Railways in the Carpathian region. Findings. In the framework of on-site examinations of the expert group found that the objects of tracks, passenger and freight infrastructure, rolling stock and ancillary industries involved in the operation of narrow-gauge Railways are in poor condition and require significant updates and major repairs. But the routes of passenger trains remain fit for participation in the project of development of railway tourism of Ukraine Originality. For the first time the state of the narrow-gauge railway for further implementation of the project on the development of rail tourism in Ukraine was realized. The analysis of foreign experience of organization of railway tourism has been carried out. The modern state and tendencies of development of tourist industry of Ukraine was studied, the factors of competitiveness of rail transport for providing tourist transport in Ukraine were identified and systematized.Practical value. The recovery and effective functioning of mountain railways with a width of 750 mm in the Carpathian region will give an impetus to the tourism development, engineering, construction and energy. At the same time, these actions will allow us to finally implement a scientifically-based effective flood control measures that will protect the population from natural environmental disasters.

У статті розглянуто сучасний стан інвестиційної діяльності в сільському господарстві України. Визначено основні критерії заохочення капітальних інвестицій з урахуванням регіональних особливостей капітального інвестування в сільське господарство. Обґрунтовано необхідність залучення зовнішніх джерел інвестицій у перспективі з метою активізації інвестиційних процесів у сільськогосподарській галузі.

Purpose. The aim of the research is to build a model of the generalzed logistic mapping and assessment of the possibilities of its use for the formation of the mathematical description, as well as operational forecasts of parameters of complex dynamic processes described by the time series. Methodology. The research results are obtained on the basis of mathematical modeling and simulation of nonlinear systems using the tools of chaotic dynamics. Findings. A model of the generalized logistic mapping, which is used to interpret the characteristics of dynamic processes was proposed. We consider some examples of representations of processes based on enhanced logistic mapping varying the values of model parameters. The procedures of modeling and interpretation of the data on the investigated processes, represented by the time series, as well as the operational forecasting of parameters using the generalized model of logistic mapping were proposed. Originality. The paper proposes an improved mathematical model, generalized logistic mapping, designed for the study of nonlinear discrete dynamic processes. Practical value. The carried out research using the generalized logistic mapping of railway transport processes, in particular, according to assessment of the parameters of traffic volumes, indicate the great potential of its application in practice for solving problems of analysis, modeling and forecasting complex nonlinear discrete dynamical processes. The proposed model can be used, taking into account the conditions of uncertainty, irregularity, the manifestations of the chaotic nature of the technical, economic and other processes, including the railway ones.

In the framework of the system of computer-aided design of railway wagons the algorithms of building the subsystem of selection of autocoupling equipment are described.
